WE HAVE HAD DIRECT T.V.SINCE11-11-2014.WE HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE PAYING OUR BILL .WE WAS LIED TO FROM THE FIRST DAY .OUR BILL WAS TO BE 56.00 A MONTH.WE ARE GETTING BILLS NOW FOR 70.00-190.00..THIS IS NOT RIGHT.I WILL GET LEGAL ADVICE ON THIS AND IT WILL GO TO THE B.B.B.OF LAWTON OKLA.EVEN THE MAN THAT PUT IT IN DID NOT PUT IT IN RIGHT. My DirecTV service went out for several hours called DirecTV about problem I was told that service goes out due to weather so I asked if I could get a adjustment on my bill since I was out service for so long the answer was NO I am now looking for other service I don't think its right to pay for something you'll not getting we use the service DirecTV expect to get paid and really demand payment put the customer seems not to have a voice if we don't have service still pay the bill something wrong with this

Acts of God are not covered by directv, thus you are still responsible for the bill. Do you call the power company if you lose power?

The Internet company if your internet goes down briefly? Most sane people say no to both of those.

Why would DTV be any different?

I think your service needs to be out for 3 consecutive days before they have to credit your account. If you look at it from their perspective, they have no control over the weather.

It would be an accounting nightmare for them if they have to credit peoples' accounts for a few hours here and there.

I've been with several companies, and DirecTV has the best service of any of them. Our service periodically goes out when it rains, but that's just the way it is.

Directv change the number of tv stations/channels we are getting. Our package calls for 150+ channels. It was fine for the first few weeks then we started losing channels we wanted and were promised. Then the channels we still had were showing the exact same program on a few different channels. Soon our number of channels dropped to less then 140. We were then told that every radio station that came with the package we have counts as one tv channel!! When does an audio station count as a visual station?!? I will never use Directv again. They are phony crooks and lie to much! I talked to so many CSR and every one of them had a different excuse. I have quit dealing with Directv and when my contract expires, my pain and misery with Directv will be no more!!

No tv retransmission compny decides what is on, or how many times. No matter if you have DTV, Dish, Comcast, ATT etc, the same showing will be on at the same time period, across all of them. What is actually shown is done so by the channel owners, Disney, Viacom, Scripps, etc.

When Direct TV's income increased in 2014 why did they reduce their employees health insurance from high option Blue Cross Blue Shield to the lower option Blue Cross Blue Shield This change will hurt many of Direct TV's employees as their health care costs will go up. This is something thee employees do not need at this time. The increased costs in their health care will damage their employees at a time when Direct TV is making more money. Isn't employee morale worth anything to Direct TV - who also does not provide cost of living increases to their employees either. How cheap can this company get when it comes to treating their employees right.l

Wanted Direct Tv installed But after being told by two company installation persons that I could not get equipment placed in a suitable location due to configuration of condo and inability to permission to place equipment in front of condo by condo management. I continue to get calls about my "service" after requesting being put on "do not call list" and explaining several times the same problem over and over each time I call. NO service was ever established! Calls continue for over a year And are bordering on harassment... Customer Service needs review!!!!!

Direct tv. Has the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Don't ever sign up with this cable company.They tell you one thing and do another. I had to make over 25 phone calls in the first 3 months to get what they said they would give me in rebates and gift cards. I would not recommended this company to anyone. The very worst of the worst.

DON"T CHOOSE DIRECT TV!!! After only a month of having Direct TV, I am so dis-appointed with them.

They quoted me a price and and it has already gone up twice from the first bill to the second bill. The only way customer service and the customer service supervisor will get my bill to the $ amount I was promised is to downgrade my package, and if I cancel service it will cost me $20 per month for the next 2 years. Don't switch to Direct TV, they tell you whatever they need to to hear to sign up, but don't stand behind it!!! It all gets blamed on what the sales person.

So sad because salesman is what keep this company going!!! VERY DIS-APPOINTED CUSTOMER

Billed $495.00 for cancelling after 4 days of service with Directv.

Called Directv to be instated on the $19.95/month plan. I am a snowbird and was told by the Directv rep that I could suspend service and monthly billing while away and reinstate upon returning to US. Two days later called my credit card company and was told Directv had charged my account $29.41. When I subsequently called the Directv billing department to find out why the charge was not the $19.95 as agreed, I was told the additional charges were for the receiver. Upon further investigation with the billing department I was told that yes I could suspend service and payment while out of the country and reinstate upon return but the suspended period would be added to the 2 year contract period and the $19.95 monthly fee would go to $50.00/month after the first year. I was not informed any of this when agreeing to have the service. I then cancelled the service and was told I would be billed $495.00 for early cancellation. Meanwhile a further $27.15 was charged to my credit account by Directv.

It has been over a month that Direct TV and Channel 9 have been in dispute over billing. As a consumer, I feel like I am being held hostage for someone else's gain! If Direct TV and Channel 9 can't get their act together, they should both be deported! Consumers will eventually be held to task and have to pay increased bills for service! It is time to put the channel back on the air and refund all the customers that have not had the channel for over a month. You should be ashamed of yourselves!!! I hope you understand this.

Details
Power flickered on and off, got error message 775. Did the unplug and red reset routine, over and over with no success. Called and made appointment to have service guy come. The night before we had a dusting of snow. He called and said his van wouldn't make it up my road. I drove my car down and back to see what was wrong with the road, had no problem. Saw his tire tracks where he turned around on flat surface. Now I have to wait 2 more days for another appointment. Counting the days until my 2 years are up and I'm cancelling. Thought they couldn't suck worse than DISH TV. I was so wrong. With all the free tv online who needs a satellite anymore. In fact think I'll take up reading books again and give up television or just rent a movie for a buck from REDBOX occasionally.
