I received a letter in the mail claiming that i would receive a $250 prepaid visa card, when i called direct tv the gentleman that was assisting me say can you please hold never came back. Cowards and liars. I took the next step and took the letter to my attorney. He was so glad that i came to him. Filing a lawsuit for false advertizing.

I just removed Direct tv!!!! Hate it. Over charged since june $30 extra aside my monthly bill of $54, with out me knowing I had sports *** i dont even see! I was in Hospital for cancer and left my bills being paid by my debit card while im not even in California. Come back home notice direct tv upgrade it channels and charged for, I have a five yr old single Mother just disappointed scam.

Have you tried calling and telling them you did not order the changes? Most banks now have online banking where you can access your account and pay them from anywhere from your computer. I recommend this I also recommend that you not give them access to your bank account for this is just a sample of what they can do to your account.

we told one thing and received another a bill for early out which was not our fault they were linked to century link and were also charge an early out from them they are a ripoff and do not work with the customer I will never refer them or century link to anyone never received contract referring to this problem . no no no never again and never received mail to return cards I would not even work for this kind of company. SOME OF YOUR REP are not well informed some are. do not go with either company they are both ripoffs.

Do not use a credit card to make a payment. They keep the number on file and will take whey dime you have out of your account and not inform you of this they are nothing more than thieves

I like directv but the only thing is they keep raising the price every month or every year and it's not fair for the ones that already have directv to paid 93.27 and new costumers pay 19.99 for 12 months then go's up to 93.27

my equipment did not work so I called DIRECTV. They sent me new equipment but they change and put me on a 2 year agreement without me knowing.

I called DIRECTV because my bill was getting higher, I wanted to know why.

The only thing that was said to me was did I want to cancel, so I cancel and now a cancellion fee of 380.00 dollars. All this after 11 years

Same here except 2 1/2 months waiting for $105. If I owed them $105 they would turn me into a collections agency!

The process is through Chase so DirecTv doesn't have to deal with former customers like me.

In turn Chase gets to collect interest on the money they take months to refund. All this nonsense should be investigated, oh, my bad, they are all in BED with government.

When we signed up we weren't told of the outrageous charges to have extra receivers & decided to only have a tv in 2 rooms. Service was great and bills were cheap. After a new year, we lost the nfl ticket which was why we got the service to begin with and we're now asking hundreds of dollars for access. My bill seemed very expensive and what was once a $68 payment is now $155. The bills might as well be written in a foreign language also. So disappointed !

After being promised a $200 rebate Visa card if I resigned with DirecTV they tell me they have no record of this, Claim denied, classic bait and switch. I spent one hour on the phone with various persons and also supervisors with no results, I have email records confirming this transaction and also a confirmation # from when I signed up but still no resolution. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company and typical of big business nowadays. I would not recommend this company to anyone but now I cannot get out of this contract unless I pay over $300 to cancel.

The same thing happened to me. I was told Directv was going to give me a $200 visa reward card for a 2 year contract.

I could not collect this reward until I made 2 or 3 monthly payments. That time period is over and Directv representatives say they have no record of that offer (promise). At&t is the new owner of Directv.

The business practices of At&t are not to be compared with the original Directv company. The original Directv was very honest and customer service orientated.

This company sucks, they just really need to go out of business. I still have a satellite from them from over 2 years ago that I never returned and they never asked for it back. I was pissed back then and never mentioned it (and they never asked about it) so it's mine. Fortunately I kept my final, $0 statement handy to this day so it truly is mine. I remember the nightmares from back then; they finally caved into closing my account after I told them I moved to an apartment that does not have a direct line of view to get signal. I had already moved to the new apartment and had taken the satellite down and it was sitting in my closet. I was on a month to month contract by then but they kept trying to charge me a cancellation fee because I really do have a direct line of view to get signal and just didn't want their *** service and even worse customer service. Basically none of their reps wanted to cancel my service and they wanted to send a tech out to see if my apartment had a line of view to get signal. I played games and kept changing my scheduled date and one day called and told them that someone came out and checked and told me I couldn't have service. They believed me and closed my account without any fees. It was like pulling teeth and I am asthonished to this day I had to work my way out of a contract like that. I can't believe they still screw people with their same *** contract tactics today. The worst part was that they outsourced my information after I canceled. I was put on everybody and their mom's marketing list on behalf of DirecTV. Crummy outsourced marketing companies came out the woodwork constantly harassing me to join up, including DirecTV (which was perhaps the worst of them all). I eventually became such a master of blocking ***, it all goes into the marketing pit and I only see them when I want a laugh. DirecTV was the worst company I've ever dealt with.

Absolutely disappointed and filled with regret for becoming a Direct TV customer... taking away local news stations is ridiculous. I was promised ALL local channels when I entered my contract! The sports events we watch with family and friends are not available, so we have to move the gatherings to a different home that has a different service. And having to access our favorite news station by internet only is not a decision you should get to make for me. Belly aching and greed is something I expect out of my toddler who is learning how to behave appropriately. Not a national television provider looking for a new way to pad their pockets. If I find a way out of my contract I am taking it!

First I would change the # of the account they have on file for you. They will not be able to charge it if they don't have the number but beware if you use the same bank they may give them your new # Remember any upgrades will extend your contract even if it is bad equipment replacement.

I would also go down to their least expensive package. Pay them with money orders and if they have to have a # on file get a prepaid cc and examine you bill each month for overcharges.
