BOILING POINT REACHED! ...Am to be a 'valued customer?' Really??? Ive not had service since Dec. 25th. Service tech was to come Dec. 27th was a no show. I called was told he came and the issue was resolved. Funny no one came to my residence and I still have no TV service. Upon further checking, amazingly the story changed from a tech came out and solved issue to..'oh the appt was cancelled but no one knows why'. Was told today someone would call me to set up an appt to come out tomorrow Dec 30...no return call, shocking eh? I called back was told it was referred to the "local" office and take up to 48 hrs for them to set up an appt. and Lord only knows what appt slots they have available. So I'm sure I will not see a tech until after the New Year! Nice..not! oh yeah and everyone is always so sorry to hear my plight and for the inconvience but no one ever seems to do a dang thing to fix the issue!! I'm considering at this point canceling service and NOT pay a early termination fee based on the fact they broke their contract with me by not delivering me uninterrupted service as was outlined in THEIR contract.

The sad thing is they do not care if you cancel service for they will charge whichever account they have on file for you for the early cancellation fees plus the fees for the equipment. Do not cancel service until you have your account (the one they have on file) taken care of either change numbers or close the account. When sending back their equipment make sure to get a tracking # to track the package and make sure they sign for it.

Thank you guest, that I have already done - I know they cannot charge an account that is no longer open. And yes, I will be getting tracking #'s and signatures and I will take pictures of items I've enclosed in box, box being sealed, etc.

CBLACKSTAD - exactly as I suspected! Uncaring people like yourself working for Direct TV - your comment is uncalled for as there was NO reason for the appointment to have been cancelled except for inept people like yourself being the rude, ignorant, uncaring person you are.

I have copied your message and will be forwarding it to Dirct TV as the KIND, manager I spoke with out of Lousiana will be sure to look into this. Have a nice life, Karma will find you.

As per instructions from KOAA5, in Colorado Springs, Colorado we are about to loose that station from your line up due to a contract dispute. If this happens I will be going to another service. I have been happy with Direct TV for years, but I will not pay for and keep a service that I will loose or will not be receiving in the future. You need to get your act together and service the customers that keep you in business. Without you do not exist. Many of our friends and neighbors have Direct TV and I'm sure when I contact them about this issue they will consider dropping your service as well. Please contact Direct TV and get this settle before it gets out of hand. Your service is not cheap and I do expect to get what I pay for.

The only reason it was resolved is because they finally signed the contract. I'm still up set about it from the TV station to Direct TV. We paid for a service we lost for almost two weeks.

Directv in Jessup, Maryland - Direct TV is a very bad company to do business with.

Activated my account on September 26th, 2012 - (2 year term). Things were fine for the first 6 months - my bill was $34.99. Then - their monthly bills started to increase as each of their so-called promotions expired. My bill doubled to $73.75. But what made me the maddest was when a 3rd party vendor authorized my account to be upgraded WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. My bill steadily increased to $99.95 until I decided to pull the plug. Each month I would wait in a telephone query trying to resolve these monthly disputes. Somethings are just not worth the hassle - so I decided to disconnect. I have now gone with Comcast - although I am reserving judgement with them too. I'll try and let you know how I made out.

By reinstating their service you are under another 2 year contract.. They will probably not be giving you any discounts because of the new contract.

Was in the hospital with major heart attack my daughter was taking care of my bills she made a payment and left a note on the bill too call them back after 12-23 I got home this morning from hospital and they had turned my service off for a lousy $ 60.13 and will not turn it back on until I pay the 60.13 Talk about a grinch or Scrooge that stole xmas move over Jacob Morley there's new kids on the block I'm 72 and have too wait till the 1st of the month for my ssi check !!!!!!!!! DON'T EVER EVER EVER GET THIS COMPANY !!!!!! MERRY XMAS DIRECT TV SCROOGES !!!!

DirecTV service gone bad after 14 years!

I have been a customer of DirecTV since 99, however since AT&T came on board their customer service has gone from good to rude and condescending. They claim #1 customer service, but you have to look at what that is being compared to, it is not saying much. The customer service agent offered me Sunday Ticket for free, got me off the phone, and then Sunday when it didn't work I called back in. Turns out she put it on, then it got removed, but the kicker is they still billed me for it! Their HD is highly compressed, Dish Network does not compress as much. DirecTV's on-demand is terrible and uses your Internet, in an age where many Internet providers put monthly caps on your downloads. Xfinity offers a much better on-demand experience. So, if you are looking for higher quality HD, go Dish, if On-Demand is your thing, go Xfinity. DirecTV has nothing to offer at this point, so I recommend you stay far away from them.... This coming from someone who was with them for 14ish years!

Hmm att and directv have not merged yet.....still pending the federal permission slip.....and dish broadcasts 720 as their highest resolution, directv has 1080 and now ppvs in 4 k

Was told that I didn't need one in a spare room I had and I could just call back when I wanted one; 13 days later, as a new customer, I try and call back and am told okay that will cost $157.00 plus $6 for the service plus $57 instillation fee!! What the ***? I asked for this receiver on day 1! They advised me against it. So unhappy with this company. Tried to cancel and was told "sorry you only have 14 days"' not to mention the receiver in one of my rooms doesn't even work. Have to wait a week to have it repaired and they offered to credit me $3. Are you serious? Don't use this company unless you have stock in K-Y!
