Direct tv scams
direct tv once again gains access to a bank account charging outrageous fees . someone needs to stop this! no one told me of a 300 dollar early termination fee when i upgraded! canceled my account and was charged over 700.00 dollars from my account . they did this without my permission.if there is a class action lawsuit against these underhanded poeple someone let me know , i will join today. also their product is horrible.again if anyone knows of a lawsuit pending for their conduct please let me know at jimmysenters@***.com meanwhile i will keep fighting them starting at the better buisness bereau of indiana.

LOUSY PROGRAMMING
I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF DIRECT TV FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND HAVE FINALLY BECOME VERY DISSATISFIED WITH YOUR PROGRAMMING. IT SEEMS ALL OF YOUR PROGRAMMING RECENTLY IS MAINLY RERUNS AND MARATHONS OF RERUNS. I AM CURRENTLY SEARCHING FOR ANOTHER PROVIDER FOR MY TV PROGRAMMING AND HOPEFULLY WILL FIND SOMEONE THAT OFFERS A SOLUTION TO MY DISSATISFACTION. I HOPE YOU WILL FIRE YOUR PROGRAM DIRECTOR AND FIND A SOLUTION TO MY COMPLAINT. DirectV illegal credit card charges
Called DiectV to get install about 12/17/2010. Install scheduled for 12/20/2010. Called about 12/18/2010 and reduced service from Choice Xtra Package with 2 free receiver upgrades to just one HD receiver and 3 standard receivers. Was told, after about 90 minutes on the phone and being switched thru 4 different "service persons", to wait for the installer and make the changes then. So I waited for the installer. On 12/20/2010, the installer arrived and I explained what I wanted to do. He contacted the company and talked with them. Then he gave me the phone and I talked with 3 different "service representatives". After being switched the third time, I got someone who knew what to do. He canceled my installation and restarted a new installation. At this time I applied for the "advertised refer a friend package' with my brother's account number. It was accepted and my brother sent in an email to say I was his referral. The installer did the install. It seems DirectV can't get its schedules correct as they called me 3 times after that with new installation dates. Everything seemed to working well until I got my credit card bill dated 1/12/2011. Instead of the $21.32 it should have costed to get installed, they had billed my credit card 4 different transactions($121.63 total), only one of which I authorized for $10. When I called in to complain, I found out(90 minutes and 4 switches later) refer a friend rebate was not given. I decided to cancel and did 1/21/2011.

Direct tv No American Idol, must change service for FOX
American Idol is a national institution. Must I change over to DISH or local cable service after 7 years of quality service? How many customers must see American Idol each year and cast a correct vote so that we can watch for the next Adam Lambert? FOX also carries another American institution, the NFL. Where is your Natioal Allegence PEOPLE? Direct tv will loose alot of loyal customers because of this lame choice. What is next? ABC, NBC, CB or maybe PBS channels. Then we can all go back to cable television for our evening entertainment with our children and our dogs.

Direct TV scammed me on a service change
In August, Direct TV called me to offer NFL Sunday Ticket at their regular price of $69.99 with my Premium package ($63.99) free for 5 months. They said if I did not want to continue with the NFL in the future I should call in December to cancel which I did. While on the phone to cancel they told me my Premium package was obsolete and recommended upgrading to a new package which I did. What they did not tell me was that when I canceled my old package, I voided the NFL with free monthly service offer. When I got my bill for December, it included the NFL package, my new regular package, and a prorated charge for the new package. When I called they told me it was my fault for misunderstanding the offer. Beware of these calls from Direct TV with special offers. It is a scam.

My family have been using Direct TV for about two years now. We only got Direct Tv because they offer Vietnamese channel for my grandfather and parents. I am usually watching the English speaking channel. First, there is not enough channels for the price we are paying. I feel like I can count on my hand the channels I actually receive, not counting the 5 Vietnamese channels which cause an extra 25.00 dollars a month on top of the regular bill which includes the insurance, and the rental of the boxes. Second problem is the signal. In rainy or sometime windy weather, we have no television for hours. Third problem, it seems like they are always having technical difficulty when I am trying to record a show and it always the channel I need to record that has the problem. I called up Direct TV to tell them about the problem and their answer is "Not our fault". They try to blame it on the broadcasters fault for the signal not working. So I thought I would ask a friend to turn on their television to the same channel and see if they have the same problem. And they had no problem at all. All I have to say is they are not servicing 50 millions of people in America, and they do not have wonderful customer services at all. They get you with the deals, but please read the fine print before signing over your television life to the devil.

Had Directv two weeks unhappy with service
I am 83 years and is legally blind . Every time I change channel I would mess up TV. Call to get Directv disconnect told me I had to pay 502.19 . I will pay for the time I use Directv not 502.19. This company didn't explain the service to me. I call twice to get someone to help me with the tv and they told me I could find the answer on tv. If I could see I would not need them to come to the house and try to sold me how to use the tv. With Charter I don't mess the tv wen I change the channel Please help me in this matter I am on Social Security

DIRECTTV: as bad as it gets with rip offs.
we signed up for basic/no frills at their $34.99/month special with bank card auto pay and were charged $297 in four months. at sign up they talk about rebates from the regular rate down to the special rate that takes up to eight weeks. when told the rebate has not happened, they say the complaint time has expired. after hours on the phone, auto pay was eliminated. last night they charged $490 to the eliminated auto pay! they do everything by phone and "speak with forked tongue". we switched to DISH NETWORK, and they are beautiful in all respects.

ripoff!!! poor service...poor selection...poor working...reviews are a joke from mags. very disatisfied of course no live help no message responce at all..sorry buisness. No channels work for any length of time. channels go out all time during watching. can't log on many times. Have to reconnect all the time...if this is future of tv as they say...i will opt out of tv. there is nothing I am pleased with here and I really didn't expect much for no more than price was only 2 channels out of 30 hve stayed on longer than a few weeks-most in foriegn languages.

Ripped Off
Someone ripped off my account for 624.55 I do not have direct TV and it is a pending Transaction, but Direct TV said they could not stop payment? It totally wiped me out and they said it will take time to resolved. I need help and do not understand why this happened. I do not give my card out to anyone, or pay someones bills. This has violated me to the point I have lost faith in mankind. Can you please help me. How does this happen better yet why can't the bank stop payment, instead it will take time to resolve, time I do not have. David Bambrick

No one has helped me after hrs. on the phone.
I am so unhappy with dtv. I just had a tv hooked up for my disabled son and the receiver doesn't work correctly. It records shows not for a child and keeps going to a channel I had never seen before (activate). I am paying for something that we are not getting and have spoken to 3 people and been on the phone for hours! This is ridiculous and I have been a customer since direct tv started (when on a trip and with a son housewatching, he switched it to dish). I should never have switched it back to direct tv. I even had one rep. from dtv tell me I couldn't get a new receiver because you would lose money. Well, I am not paying for something we cannot get. I am the only adult in the household and the only one that uses the remote. please help us; thank you. kathleen pedigo kspjlp@***.com

Released me from my contract then charged me.
I was promised Bundled service and 30 days to change my mind by the sales person. Never got me bundled. Ran up 200 dollars of cell phone costs trying to get it straightened out. End result was having my honesty challenged being told they would listen to "the taped conversations" to verify what I "claimed" only to also be told be another rep that they tape randomly and no way to review. Finally told I would be allowed to disconnect without penalty (took 3 weeks of my calls and having them get in my face) only to find they did fine me 400 for 1 month of not having full service and no bundled service!

Direct TV-scams customer at signing
When we signed, we were promised at better deal. What we got was a bigger bill. Customer Service accused us of ordering the NFL Program, which we never even recieved. When they told me what channel it was on, we found we didn't even get the channel! yet it was thier word against ours, and even when we showed them we didn't get channel, they would no reimburse us. they were so rude, we canceled, then were fined over $700.0 for it. No justice,we were scammed, and forced to pay or risk bad credit. Never again.

Your customer service stinks
You installed Direct Tv in my mothers house which was ordered by my nephew. He did not pay the bill and it was cut off. My mother has tried several times to call customer service and have you go out and take out the equipment. All she gets is an automated voice asking how she wants to pay the bill. She just wants the equipment taken out so she can get other Tv service. I tried to call tonight and I was told by a machine to call back later in the week. I can't believe such a big company as yourselves do not have the money to employ customer service people. No wonder there are so many unemployed people. I would'nt have Direct Tv if you payed me.Your company does'nt know what customer service is. !!!!!

Direct Tv LIES
We were using a Direct tv promotion that allowed us to recieve an addtionaly $10.00 of our monthly bill if we paid with American Express, we signed up for DTV by going to a direct dealer-Best Buy, who has a specefic number they are supposed to call, they made the inital call, and then the represenative spoke to me, I specifically mentioned the promotion and requested that my bill be charged to my AMX so that I would recieve the disount, at no time was I told that I was not elegible for that promotion. My first AMX bill comes, not reflecting the discount, so I call dish and they tell me that Best buy is not designated to call the number that is required in order for me to be elegible for that specefic promotion...and there is no way for them to correct it. Additionaly i have had serice for almost a month now, but our reception is pixilationg, but becaues we live in a rural area, we have not had the issue looked at.., bad service all around..right off the bat...did i make a mistake by choosing DTV?

This is how I got my money back but mine was a credit card and with a bank you may need the arbitrator.
This is why you should always pay these company's with cash, pay by money order. This way they can't get your bank account or credit card.
