LIARS&THIEFS!! IM SUPPOSE 2 HAVE HD FREE FOR LIFE...AFTER THEY SCREWED UP MY PACKAGE IT TOOK 5 MONTHS TO RESUME...WELL NOW AFTER THE 6TH MON...IM PAYING AGAIN&THEY WONT REINSTATE IT CUZ OF CREDIT THEY GAME ME OVER THE PAST 4YRS...ANY CREDIT THEY GAVE ME WAS BCUZ OF THEIR SCREW UPS...THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL..THEY KNOW THEY SCREWED IT UP AGAIN BUT I GOTTA PAY 10+FOR HD NOW...GUESS WHAT YOU SCREW ME BUT I'M GONNA DUMP DTV...GOOD BYE LIARS..NEVER AGAIN AND THANKS LIARS....BUYER BEWARE...BEEN IN COMPLIANCE FROM DAY 1...NOW THEY WANT ME TO PAY THE HD FEE...I WILL NOT...

Worst customer service ever, if you're late don't expect them to work with you, their automatic system lock is ***!!! They will simply not work with you on payment arrangements. They charge you to move and its overpriced!! You guys may have good quality but it's not worth all the hassle you guys make. Your system sucks.

I had DirecTV at my house today for a move change they were unable to do the work after showing up 45 minutes late and no call due to the roof being wet then the serviceman decided to start using racial slurs in my house totally unacceptable

Directv in Lancaster, Pennsylvania - Want to fight?? Feeling angry?? Just Call Direct TV......

This weekend I called to cancel my account with Direct TV after 3 yrs! I was informed since I had gotten new equipment, never happened, I would have to pay $220.!! Since I have dealt with them for years I was prepared to be confused and just argue aimlessly for hours. I had just paid $200. and was told I was still past due when only receiving the least number of channels and Stars which was $13. Also I had paid each month. To date there have been three calls. My last call was with a supervisor who informed me he had to change my account to the least number of channels which now was generating a disconnect bill. Still ongoing!! Will contact the FCC with complaint if everyone else would file a complaint maybe Direct TV will stop ripping everyone off so openly they have no fear!!

Directv in North Fort Myers, Florida - Loss of channels again & again & again...

DirectTV has scammed me since I signed up after getting an offer to bundle TV & CenturyLink. They offered me an attractive price which was increased by 30 percent after the service was installed. Then while putting up with the terrible service, lousy programming I am now without several channels that I watch more frequently since morning. Unfortunately they are the only game in my area so I must put up with their poor representatives, deceptive practices and worse service I've seen in my life. They make Comcast look like gods. As soon as another provided comes into my area I will leave both DirecTV and CenturyLink as services can only get better when you have the worst in the industry.

I had dish network till they jacked up the programming fees in 10 months (Jan.-Oct. 2014) and removed 6 channels from my subscription. I signed up with Direct TV for a (24 month agreement) package which had the channels I lost with Dish. There was a $300 deposit in lieu of providing your SSI#. I was told it would be refunded in monthly credit. I’m sure they probably told me the amount, but with all the other info of cost, fees and service that gets quickly rattled off (as these guys can do so well) you would figure these guys would be honest and guide you in the right direction. When I got my first bill over a month later, I saw they were providing me a credit of $5 per month for 60 months, not dividing it into the 24 month contract I sign up for (which would be $12.50 to get it paid in 24 months) . I called today 11-26-14 (on the phone for 1hr & 6 min.) seeking help with understanding and correcting this. I did advise my first contact Krista I was recording this conversation. We talked about 9 min. about this, she informed me that she would need to put me thru to someone in billing. Next was Kyle, we talked about 15 min. She agreed that did not sound/seemed right but could not help me I requested her to put me thru to the next agent that could possibly help me. Next was Tamara we talked for about 31 min. She explained that this is what it is and that it was correct and she could not make any changes/adjustments and I would be sacrificing $280 if I did not continue my service for 60 months. I’m getting really pissed now, I ask to speak to someone else that might be able to help. Next was Rodriguez we spoke about 11 min. He informed me Tamara was correct and that he could not help me either. Rodriguez when on to go off subject and say that I should be looking forward for the specials I would qualify for if I make all my payments on time. I told him this has nothing to do with the $280. He just went on and on about all the specials I would qualify for if I make all my payments on time. I asked to be transferred to someone else. I was put on hold and never heard from anyone else. Please readjust refund to to be paid in the contract period

There is no way to change it. It has nothing what so ever to do with the 2 year agreement.

The 2 year agreement is in association with the equipment you have. You could have done the credit check and that could have possibly waived the deposit but that was your choice. So deal with it.

They aren't going to change it just for your whining self. You aren't special sweetheart so suck it up...it is what it is

Made the switch for time warner in April of this year, was told by direct tv sales rep that the system is very reliable, during the past summer lost my connection whenever there was a thunderstorm for 10 - 15 minutes, could deal with that, I live in upstate NY and we are in the winter season, last Sunday night got a small storm lost satellite for 3 1/2 hours, called direct tv wss told it will happen during storms then come back when storm clears they gave me a 9 dollar credit for being without service and they told me to call aging if it happens and customer service will try to see what's wrong, well getting hit with a big storm today, lost signal at 12:00 and its still OUT not to happy went to time warner today, getting setup Friday with TWC called direct tv to cancel my contract due to unreliable reception, they didnt really care, said it was normal for this to happen and my fee to get out of my contract will be 350.00. Needless to say im not a happy camper and will never recommend anyone in the northeast to get a direct tv installed even if it saves you a few bucks per month.

I'm in the Midwest I recommend no one to direct tv. We had 1 inch of snow and my entire area lost service.

A day before Thanksgiving was told no service repair till Monday.

But by the way your bills due. Never get this service it's *** will be calling charter Cable on Friday.

Direct TV is a total rip off. Didn't know you couldn't watch more than 3 tvs at a time. I have a big family with several tvs but they are useless if you have more than three on at the same time. In addition to that, the ones that are not connected to the Gennie go out consistently. AND... When trying to watch an On Demand movie is almost impossible. It keeps getting stuck while streaming and makes you wanna throw the *** stuff in the trash. Rip Off, Rip Off and RIP OFF! Would never recommend this to anyone and wouldn't use it if it was free ! I think they know how bad it is. This explains why it's sooo much cheaper than the competition and why it cost thousands of dollars to get out of the contract.

Directv in Custer, South Dakota - No way to get problems fixed if youaren't a customer.

we live in a duplex. the other side of the duplex INSISTED that they get Direct TV, but they don't have a line of sight toward satellite. The only place that gives line of sight is from our carport next to our house. The installer told them that it couldn't be done, but they INSISTED. His supervisor said no problem, since it's rental property, we can put it on the carport on the other side. This was done without our prior approval. It was install on the downward side of a sloping metal roof in an area with severe snow fall during the winter. The brackets for the dish were anchored into used telephone poles. The bolts that were driven into the pole ends, split the poles so that only one of the bolts is actually holding any weight. The cable was run along the underside of the roof and down the pole on the other side (this is no real problem.) From there, the cable was laid on the ground with no attempt to bury it, to the porch steps that lead into our side of the duplex. Because of the level of the ground, the cable was left exposed 2 inches off of the ground in a walkway leading to our carport. Since the installer was working late, we thought he would return to bury the cable as he said he was going to do the next day. Trying to contact Direct TV was a nightmare. The local number in phone book would not be answered. The website gave us toll-free numbers that are totally useless if you don't have an account with them, which we don't and after this experience, we never will have. Finally had the neighbor call the supervisor. After 4 hours, checked back with him to find out that they claimed no one was available to do what they were supposed to in the first place for 4 to 5 days. After finally getting pissed, I got the number for the Direct TV installation supervisor. After 5 calls and an unbelievable number of excuses and resulting threats, he told us that the install would be here between 6:30 and 7 am if that was alright. My girlfriend tripped over that cable while walking the dog, which prompted another call to the useless stupidvisor. His responce was, "Cut the cable. We don't want you to get hurt". So in short, we have the installers supervisors permission to cut the cable IF it becomes a problem.  Since I am not a customer, and the issue of the exposed cable in a walkway, Direct TV has no desire to hear about this problem.  They make it impossible to lodge complaints or try to rectify problems that they create if you don't have an account with them,(leverage on their part).  If and when this installer shows up to solve the problem he left, he'd better hope that I am sleeping or am not at home when he gets here.  And if they don't have the guts to show up by the time I get home tomorrow, (9pm) I intend to throw a cable around the dish that is on the carport that I rent, hook it to the trailer hitch on my truck and yank that dam ugly thing down and they can retrieve it from the local landfill and had better not show their lying faces on my porch again.

Keep experiencing issues and account keeps getting lost and channels when I get ahold of someone the seem lost then finally fix and later problem occurs again I lost channels and access to record then they fix some kind of free promotion or upgrade would be nice I've been a loyal customer and right now with the experience I have had I'm just disatisfied
