Directv in Atlanta, Georgia - Bait and switch

Ordered 4 recievers because that is what i needed, they quoted a price. The install tech said his paper work showed i had only ordered one so we had to speak to a supervisor and i had to pay more than quoted to get service. No way i would have ordered one reciever and i'm positive i ordered four. Tech said it happens on almost every job or at a minimum every other job, bait and switch, it's a planned deception. Recieved surveys after install gave great reviews on the tech , gave the company a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 and stated i would not recommend Direct TV, think someone has called , well of coarse not.

Directv - Tv Service Review from Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Direct tv is TERRIBLE! Every month my bill is for a different amount...always increasing! I spend an hour at least every month on the phone with them trying to sort out my bill receiving horrible costumer service and each month I ask to not have any upgrades and each month yet again they sign me up for something I do want and my bill increases. I don't understand how they can get away with this. I finally cancelled my account today paying the outrageous cancellation fee but I am happy I will NEVER deal with Direct TV again.

okay so ive had my service since september of last year. not too long but long enough. well around mid may i went on a deployment and i thought my bills were being taken care of. as it turned out it was all but one. my directv bill. well i got home late october and got some r&r. when i returned back to my house i was a little upset to see that my bills were piled up and a return box was there. i called directv and spoke to a representative. i explained my situation and asked about how much it would be to reactivate my account. i wastold it would be around $275. fine. i told the representative that i wanted to reactivate but it would be a fewweeks before i could make that payment. he told me he understood and i assumed all was well. well about a week later i looked at my bank account and seen that $500 dollars was missing. come to find out directv had taken it and not even given me any kind of heads up or notification or anything. i called and spoke to another representative. again i explained my situation this time with the trouble ofthis event now looming. to save on time we spoke and i told her that i was still planning on keeping my account but i simply couldnt at the time. that i needed the money that was taken and i had to have it back. she assured me thateverything would be okay andshe would expedite the refunding policy. okay fine. i can wait a couple days. now today i come to find out that not even half of what was taken would be given back to me. this was moneyi needed to use for my family. for christmas. for f*#king repairs on our car! Directv, i use to hold you up with respect as far as tv entertainment is concerned but after this *** you pulled i will let everyone i talk to about you hear thisand how you are gonna shaft anyone you can. no need to continue this. needless to say i cancelled my account immediately. good riddance ya bastards!

I cancelled direct T.V Aug.19th. In June i asked to reduce my package. 39.99. They reduced my channels not my bill. I told them to come get equipment and last payment 44.00 thats what it should be not 89.99. Well they took out sept oct payment 188.86 without my permission.

You can't be serious !!! Why would you think you can demand to pay a lower price and still have the same services!!!!

If you have a luxury car with all the features you can't call your finance company and demand you only pay for a KIA bare bones model or your insurance company and demand lower price and not lower your coverage!

What world do you live in DTV still pays the network companies the same price they contracted why would you they would accomodate your demand would you want to keep a customer that you did not allow you to make a profit? Subscribe to what you can afford stop being a liability to the business world its degrading yourself have a little pride...

Directv in Cincinnati, Ohio - Terrible installation experience

Signed up through Costco in Cincinnati, and they were going to install yesterday between noon and 6. They even called afternoon the day before to confirm. At 3.30 yesterday, they (some woman) called and said they would be there around 6. Then at 6, the install guy called and said he was at Chillicothe, Ohio and wanted to come at 8. Then some time after that some woman called and said they weren’t sure when he could get here, and during the call, another woman called to say the same thing. They wanted to re-schedule. I said no unless they can give me a specific time, and not some time period. They said he could not make it till past 9.30 last night and after checking with some supervisor said that they cannot re-schedule for a definite time, only for another time period. I told them to " tear up the contract”. They told me to do that I have to speak to someone else. I told them to go to *** (not in those words but I should have). Never did they even apologize once for their screw-up.

My phone number on the account was changed maliciously on November 3. 2014 by an *** employee at Direct TV because he was angry at me for complaining about their inept service and a fraudulent bill. As a result, it took me over an hour to get connected on my next complaint (I average 5 complaints per week with the drug addicts in customer service at Direct TV I reported this criminal complaint on 11/13 with a little girl who pretended to be a supervisor. I told her I wanted the criminal *** fired. She said it would be investigated, She did nothing. This outfit needs to be shut down and all assets distributed to their customers (victims) and all pensions for executives forfeited.

I have problems with Direct TV sales people that harass me at Costco. They will not take no for an answer and have actually made rude comments to me when I ignore them.

They yell at me when I walk into the store on the main isle. I now ignore them but last week a guy said, "hey you!" "yeah, I'm talking to you".

I liken Direct TV sales people to a used car salesman. They are all snakes.

Direct TV is a 2 year contract.

Who would sign such an open ended contract that allows Direct TV to raise the price whenever they want after the first year?

Who has the time to sit and watch TV all day long?

I can only think of the ones on the Government dole. Kinda like the guy posting as Dtv4life.

I think you are the fraud ..... The only issue with Directv is a portion of their customers do not have good listening skill or the ability to understand basic accounting ....and they want something for nothing....

You were probably such an *** to the representative they decided not to even explain that $6.00 minus $6.00 = ZERO. Pay for what you get run down to the community college and take ACCOUNTING FOR DUMMIES AND A HOW NOT TO BE AN *** TO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!.

Directv - Installation Review from Kismet, Kansas

When Directv came to my home 2 years ago for initial setup the installation man did a halfway job and could not get the whole home to work. He advised us to contact the company later to get resolved which they never did. The entire time the young man installed our equipment we had to listen to him complain about working for Directv. About six months later Directv over charged us for services we did not get and after multiple calls and hours on the phone finally got it resolved, but only when we called to cancel service. Now our contract has just expired and my DVR is having issues. When I called to get assistance they wanted to charge me $50 for a service call. When I explained that my contract is up and I wanted to close account again they waived fee and scheduled an appointment to repair. Prior to the scheduled repair date I received one live and one automated phone call confirming the date and time. The day to repair came and I took off work half the day to met with repairman who never showed up. I called Directv and spoke to some young arrogant kid in their Oklahoma office. He told me some jobs take longer than anticipated and if you are the last schedule of day you get rescheduled. I explained that I understand these type issues occur but would have appreciated a courtesy call since I had taken off work half a day and my salary docked. The young man replied that they are not required to do courtesy calls and went on to add that he sees no record of scheduled appointment and was more than likely an error on my part. Needless to say I canceled my Directv account and switched back to Dish after two year of poor customer service.

Directv in Seal Beach, California - Completely lied about protection plan coverage and refused to either resolve or respond

Flat out lied by, not one, but at least two different agents that any technology in my home was covered for service just to get me to pay extra premier protection plan, but they refused to come out or honor the plan in any way. After over a year of paying for extra protection i try to request service and suddenly told the rules are changed and that my tv isn't covered! I've tried to get someone to resolve the matter, called at least 6 times in the last 5 days and still have gotten nowhere. I am still paying for service and not able to either cancel or get service.

Bccbbbb did you not bother to read the policy emailed and mailed to you or go on line and register your TV serial numbers ??? In your 30 day free trial online product registration would have told you if the TV model is covered.

You need to pay attention and stop blaming everyone else for your lack of attention .

If any policy changes take place you are notified if you bother to read the notice you would be able to make a grown up decision to cancel insurance or not!

Directv - Cancelling Service

Called to cancel service and got "Nathan". I expected a sales pitch to keep me but when I was not budging, he became defensive and combative with me. I had explained costs were gone up twice in one year and service was awful. He then became louder and more defensive. Direct TV is really the WORST customer service and if "Nathan" was working in my company, he would be fired for dealing with a customer like he did with me. I WOULD NEVER use or recommend Direct TV to anyone. It really is the WORST service and TV line up. Every second channel is an infomercial channel. You have to hope for no clouds or snow storms... satellite is down at that point and nothing can be done about it. DONT GET IT. Its really BAD. I hope Direct TV takes "NATHAN" for a course on how to handle customers. Clearly he has never been trained or monitored. Pretty bad!
