Directv - STOLE $700 from us, NOT HAPPY

Last year, my boyfriend and his now ex girlfriend got Direct TV and the account was in her name and ha her card on there and everything. It was all set up at my boyfriends house cause they both lived there at the time, well after a while they broke up and BF called direct tv to cancell the subscription and they said "I'm sorry sir you can't do that because you're not the main account holder for this account." Okay fine whatever. Anyways afterwards he called and got a box sent to the house to send the box back with all the stuff in it so his EX didn't have to come to the house and they would charge her account for everything. Here's where it gets good. After 2 months they take $700 out of my BFs bank account!! While they were dating he did the online "one payment only" thing and that was that, didn't agree for them to keep his card number or have them put it account or anything like that. So after we realized direct tv took that money from us, we decided to call them, obviously, and ask why the *** the took the money out of his bank account and not hers!! Which after talking to someone for 30 minutes still never gave us a strait answer. So after about 45 minutes on the phone my BF was starting to get pissed and was asking the guy how it would feel if he took $700 out of his bank account when they weren't authorized to do at any point in time. So after saying that the guy doesn't say anything and just HANGS UP ON US!!! like legit didn't put us on hold or say"let me put you on hold quick." No just flat out hangs up on us like its no big deal!! I have never been more pissed off in my entire life and I hope someone from corporate sees my remarks and realizes how shi**y of a company they are running, and if we don't get our money back soon then we will be taking this to court. I tell every single person that I know never to even think of getting directv because they will steal your money and not even care cause they're all a bunch of *** holes.

im sure he used the card more than once on the acct and also it's common sense 99.9% of companies when you make a payment the card is kept on file, your bf should have made sure everything was properly handled and been responsible to make sure everything was paid in full, dtv sends you a final bill after a certain time frame if *** isn't paid dtv takes it, "this card may be used to collect any unpaid balances after the acct is disc, dtv will attempt to collect payment with the credit or debit card on file, charges may include the following, early cancellations fees, equipment non return fees or any outstanding balances"

Directv - Direct tv is worst than I that

Used to pay $200 monthly than after 1 year they started to charge me more every month. I downgrade my subscription but I received the bill overcharged every month. I had to call the company every month about the bill but every time I received another answer. I believe this company is in business to trick people out of their money. My suggestion is to look forward somewhere else and forget about their BS deals. This company really suck even though I used to pay a lot for their service. That makes me to close the account and move to TW. In other word, Direct Tv sucks.

The worse experience ever. Direct TV should be called Direct Scam.

Reception is awful, customer service is the worse. I chose to pay the penalty to end my service early.

Consumer...DO NOT fall into their trap. TV would lose Internet connection, constantly having to reboot boxes, sound would become distorted.

I was hit up at Walmart on October 31, 2014 about service. I informed the CSR this was not a solid YES pending boy friends approval. After boy friend said no i called less then 12 hours later to cancel no equipment or nothing had been received or installed I requested a full refund and was informed it would be returned in 3 days. Seven days later and still no refund. I have spent over an hour on the phone with Direct TV and at this time still sitting on hold. I have been bounced from one person to another Direct TV has been informed if this is not resolved and all money returned i will fill with the BBB. I have never dealt with a company that is so unprofessional and rude in my life. I am so glad I didn't go through with any thing from this company. I will stay with Dish never should of even fell for a low price service because that is exactly what you get. Cheap unprofessional people who don't give a ***...................................................................

Mike: I'd be happy to explain about DIRECTV service. You: just yes or no You: I guess thats a no since your taking so long Mike: Please note that you need to have separate receivers for each TV in house in order to get cable in my other rooms. Mike: I am sorry for the delay. My system was stuck for a moment. Mike: How many TVs would you like service on? You: So if I do not have a receiver in each room I will not be able to get any cable channels in every room? So what you are basically telling me is that even though I am paying more right now for Grande it will be actually more by the time I get cable in every room? And dont try to tell me other wise because I have researched this extensively trying to get a better deal. Mike: I completely understand your concern. However, you need to have a separate receiver for each TV you want to get service on. There is a monthly Additional TV fee of $6.00 for each receiver. Mike: You need one Genie Mini or Wireless Genie Mini for each additional TV. These devices are small, convenient, easy-to-hide boxes that serve as remote connections to the Genie HD DVR receiver. So in a Genie Whole-Home HD DVR setup, one of your TVs is directly connected to the Genie HD DVR and each of your additional TVs is connected to the Genie HD DVR using a Genie Mini. Our service is only minimally affected by weather. If a signal is interrupted at all, the disruption is usually less than one minute long. You: So by your message you just answered my question, you advertise for 19.99 a month but ofcourse you have all of your hidden fees and such and are still just as much or as expensive as other cable companies. Direct tv is a rip off i call and set up a installation and the next day they called me and two hours later they told me that there was a bill in collections form the previous owner and it had to be paid before i could get service i will never recommend direct tv the should just go out of business dish network rocks

DirecTV - Was Not Told I Only Received Partial Channel

Signed up for Directv last month. I only considered providers who offered CSN, since I like to watch Bulls and Cubs games. Triple checked online and with multiple people that I got CSN before signing up. Now I'm told I only get CSN when select teams are playing, and the Bulls aren't one of them. So all games are blacked out in my package. Now I'm stuck in a 2 year contract and can't see Bulls games. Nowhere in the listings that shows I get CSN does it mention than it only is available for certain teams. Bottom line, if you are signing up to watch a specific team, be sure you ask about every team you are interested in. Don't assume just because you get the channel that they will let you see the team you want.

Direct tv is just ridiculous. They say it's going to cost one thing then it costs more than double the amount. They call for "promotions" and before you know it you are paying way more than you are supposed to. Don't bother yourself find something better!

Directv will harm your TVs

I had new services installed and everything was fine. A few months later, I come home to find all of my tvs (4) not working. Called Directv - no solution but to send out a technician. The technician could not make anything work including the Directv equipment. Said it must have been a power surge. I pointed out that we use surge protectors. Technician said that surge protectors do not work. what in the world!! I bet the surge protector companies would love to know that. Bottom line they replaced all of the directv equipment and my tvs would not work. HDMI blowned out on all 4 tvs. I filed a claim; it was denied after much back and forth. Directv sent out a supervisor who was not help whatsoever. Just a mouthpiece for his company. I plan to sue them for replacement of my tvs.
