I am having a similar experience with Directv. They promised me one thing and then billed me for another at our cabin in northern MN so I cancelled our service and asked them to send the "recovery kit" / box to our billing address/residence but they keep sending it to the cabin, where no one lives. This company is a piece of work. They are either grossly incompetent or deliberately deceptive. If you want to experience frustration, try to find or obtain a shipping address ( not a P.O.Box) from them to return your equipment without their "recovery kit." It is simy B.S.

Directv in Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Don't go for This conversation is recorded *** they quoted me a price and raised it the next day

I talked to customer service who told me that I talked to a third party when quoted a price to replace my DISH service. The quote was to replace one hopper and 3 joeys. The day the installer came I should have knew that they lied about the price. He only had one mini on the order. But the installer nor the guy on the phone who gave him the ok to install would tell me that. The day after the install I get an email with the bill for $16 more than I agreed to. Now Direct TV doesn't have access to the recorded phone conversation. If I want them out it will cost me $460. They will not honor what I was quoted. They are exactly what DISH says about them in their commercials.

I got marketing brochure for bundled price "locked in" for 24 months. At the time I was totaled fed up with Time Warner so I asked the customer service guy "Gene" 5 times...no price changes for 2 yrs...always yes...then nearly every month there was something or other wrong with bill (yes, always more $). The latest is 40% increase for remaining 12 months. I wrote State Attorney General which said there is not enough complaints for "pattern of unfair, false, misleading or deceptive acts"...I know, I know...what was I thinking...its an election year!

I had direct tv for several years. When ever I wanted to order a movie I had to call in and talk to a service rep. I would always have to provide them a credit card for my transaction. I decided to change my service. When I turned in my equipment, I received a bill 8 months later claiming I owed them $88 dollars for movies I ordered and did not pay for. I was treated like a criminal. I tried to talk to them about this with very little success. Then I received notices that I was being sued. Omg really. I payed the bill because I did not know what to do. Since then they have offered me $200 to come back. They would call me several times a week begging me to come back. I had to threatened them to stop calling or I would sue them. Fair play you would think. What a bunch of *** HOLES. My name is George c. And I am from hixson tn.
