Directv in Seattle, Washington - Unauthorized service and fees

My husband called directv yesterday just to get some information on the service. He did not authorize them charging our bank card or setting up for service. They charged our card $30.00 within 5 minutes and we said we did NOT want service, we are just checking it out. Now we get an email that the service will be at our house on Monday. Don't they understand NO, we don't want the service? We called to try and explain but got the run around and they finally hung up. We cannot believe they get away with this. Why doesn't the FCC shut you down. You have been known to dup people out for years, it is about time to shut direct tv down.

They said they gave me one year free of NFL Sunday (which I don't even watch )for free but if you don't cancel they charge you WITHOUT ASKING and extra $ 40.00 a month. Plus if you don't cancel in time, they say you are stuck paying it for the entire football season. Then I asked if they could remove the charges. They said they would have to bump up my plan to the next tier first. I thought Comcast was bad, but this is horrible. I told them ATT UVerse was having some great deals and would they try to match them ? The lady said this offer was not to try and keep me as a customer. Whatever happened to good customer service ?

when I signed up for direct tv I was told I was getting the upgraded equipment package and was not given an option for any other equipment. the day the service was installed I contacted customer service because I was unable to pause my channels or record, I was told that I did not have that feature but it could be added for an extra 25.00 a month, I advised them that I was told I was getting the upgraded equipment package and the dvr feature had never been mentioned to me, she then said she could add the feature for an additional $15 a month, I still felt I should not have to pay for it because I was never informed I would not have that feature and I believed it should be included, I ask to speak with a supervisor and was told there wasn't one and they wouldn't be able to add the feature for less than the additional $15 a month. I did not want to pay extra, I was already paying more than I thought I would be.. after a couple of weeks of my husband complaining about not having the feature I finally gave in and agreed to the additional $15 a month. I call customer service only to be 1st hung up on and not called back, and 2nd being told that I would now have to pay $199 to get the feature because it requires different equipment, mind you I was told from the beginning I was getting upgraded equipment, and I only had 14 days to redeem the 1st offer, I asked for a supervisor again, ahhh what a joke, I was given to supervisor Maria in FL, who proceeded to treat me like I was this biggest *** that ever walked. I informed Maria that I have worked in call centers for several years and have been an assistant program manager, I understand if there is nothing she can do but I was never informed of the 14 day rule to change my mind, nor was I aware that my equipment would need to changed. She then stated that there was no need to inform me of that. Again she had decided that instead of helping me, her job was to treat me like I was the biggest *** that walked. I feel like I was lied to from the very beginning, I would never recommend direct tv to anyone I know, and as soon as I can get out of this contract without being screwed for hundreds of dollars, I will be gone. Not only was I deceived, not correctly educated about the service and not given the options to even make a choice, but then I call into your customer service department to be treated like I was less than human, by someone that I am basically paying. You really need to train your employees that the paying customers are who pays their paychecks, without customers they would have no jobs. If I had ever caught one of my agents talking to a customer that way, they would have been immediately coached on their behavior. It is people like Maria who have no business being a supervisor, she apparently thinks that title is a power trip.

Directv in Conroe, Texas - News Alert - Direct TV does not get on roofs

News Alert - Direct TV does not get on roofs. Where you ask are the satellites? On the roof of course. So if you need to update or fix a satellite that is on the roof Direct TV does not get on the roof. Check with Chris Tyson in Installation, he can explain it or not...It almost seems like an oxy ***, well yes it is pretty moronic. This is pretty self explanatory, but I have to get to 100 words for this complaint to be posted. I guess I could go into the fact that the installation dept here in Conroe left me sitting at home on 4 different occasions, just for them to finally come out and say they do not get on roofs. Unfortunately that is where they put the satellite.

Directv - "Free" upgrade to wireless

Was having trouble with my HD/DVR receiver. Technician suggested that since I was a long term loyal customer I could take advantage of the free upgrade to wireless genie. I told her I was pleased because usually these upgrades are only offered to new customers. The only thing I had to do was agree to a two year service agreement. Why not? I'm a long term loyal customer anyway! I got my bill and there is a $99 fee for setup! After 1hour on the phone I was given a $50 credit even though they originally said they couldn't waive any of it. I'm still angry but stuck for two more years. I will be calling the Ohio Attorney General to file a complaint against Directv!

My tv picture would freeze. Have to change channel might come back or not. Called Directtv the useual unplug ,push red botton , start scan and scan. Nothing, sent a new geniebox worked 5 hours, they don't want to give me credit.They said they have resovled the issue, no way no service, bad new box. This has inconvienced me, I live 4 hours away had to stay hear at our rv for my husband to receive the unit, to make sure we got it . My husband works long hours and don't have time for this. I postpond a dr appointment to stay

I wanted to save money and inquired about the bundle pkg. thru CenturyLink w/ Direct TV. It's a total case of False Advertisement and a way of tricking the customer that it's a great deal for 29.99. My bill for TV is now 71.42! I've spent at least 5 hrs., spoken to like 10 different people from these 2 businesses, disconnected, holding on for 15-20 minutes, transferred calls to no where and no one can help. But when I asked them to just disconnect the services for Direct TV, I've been threatened that I will be charged 480.00 early termination fees and so on. These guys need to be investigated by the Better Business Bureau. It's all Boguss!

Directv - Lost payment

In may I made and eletronic payment which they claim they never got. My bank and I have sent out by fax and mail along with filling out payment dispute forms and as of today they still want me to send out more information. In 12 calls I have had 1 person at Direct Tv tell me they found it and would call back. Never did and now I have to start over again. I have even had my bank on a conference call with them (twice). This is the last time I try after this I am done
