Directv in Germantown, Maryland - Direct TV Customer Service Manager called me a liar and then hung up.

This is not the first time that we have lost our local stations because Direct TV doesn't want to pay the amount that Raycom ask for. They wait until the last minute to negotiate and then while they are negotiating we lose our local channels. I live in the South Mississippi and this has happened before and in the past when this has happened they have allowed me to pay an extra 2 or 3 dollars and get a ABC and NBC station on the east or west coast that is not owned by Raycom. In fact, they have done this two or three times. This time when I called I spoke to a CSR who didn't know what he was doing and just kept repeating himself in the monotone voice that he had been trained to use and actually sounded like he hated his job. He finally passed me off to his manager. Her name was Keira. She cut me off short and told me that what I was requesting could not be done. She said that Raycom owned all of the NBC and ABC stations in the United States which I know is not true. When I said that this had been done for me in the past she basically called me a liar in so many words and said it had never been done. When I called her hand at calling me a liar she cut me off rudely and said, "Is there anything else you need?" I said I would like to speak to her manager she said there was nobody that was above her. Ha!. Then she asked again if I was interested in something else. When I said that I wanted to talk about the specifics that Raycom did not own all of NBC stations and I wanted to know why I could not get another station she hung up on me. I will be out of here as soon as my contract is up and I want everyone to know just how incompetent Direct TV and their CSR's are. Beep beep. That's all folks.

You are right, Raycom does not own all of the stations. However Directv can not give you a network channel from somewhere else in the country if Raycom has the rights to your area.

Since Raycom owns the broadcasting rights to your area, if Directv broadcast that network from another area, Raycom could sue ( and win ).

Raycom is trying to jack up prices and Directv is trying to hold costs down. If Raycom wins, who do you think is going to pay the Higher price??

After reading your review it is obvious you are a sexist and seem to have an issue with women in power. So glad she told you off.

I bet you were shocked a woman was in charge of a big company and there was no one above her, that obviously hurt your male ego. That sir is the real issue.

Directv in Ellisville, Mississippi - Local channels

Direct tv cut out local channel of wdam tv chanel 7 Hattiesburg Mississippi. the company cut out local channel ouut. and took it off the air.. we have no way of receiving the local news without hooking up an antenna. Why are we not receiving this channel. I believe if we do not get this service reinstated we will be changing our service to Dish network. What other information so you need.The station is wdam tv located in Eastabutchie Mississippi. Why does this complaint have to be atleast a hundred words.. This could be addressed in less words.

Direct TV resolved all of our issues and took care of it in less than an hour. All it took was getting a hold of the right people and it was fixed.

Direct tv will be out of business soon. No business will ever survive that messes with its customers so much (unreasonable contracts that do not keep promised services, poor costumer service, deleting channels). I didn't think direct tv could be anymore screwed up as a business until they took off FOX!! A free *** channel on regular tv they deleted from my service after I paid a lot of money and entered into a contract for certain channels (FOX). Now because I'm out of town on business next Sunday I can't record the first football game of the season after I paid for the services to watch and record, now I get screwed but I have to keep paying you?? You pieces of *** deserve to go out of business.

Either greedy money hunger direct tv stops blocking local channels like WTOL 11 news in toledo ohio because they want more more more or hundreds of customers will be dropping you and switching back to either dish network or time Warner. Toledo 11 news has tried over and over to settle this issue with direct tv and they refuse to agree. Customers pay for your direct tv for a reason, not so direct can block channels because they are money hungry, I'll be dropping direct this week and passing the word on Facebook and twitter to drop direct tv or do not sign up with them.

It's false advertisement to say you are going to get certain stations and then they are gone. I believe this is a matter for the Better Business Bureau. I would like out of my Directv contract without penalty fees, I have been a dissatisfied customer since the beginning, because of broken promises and bad business practice. You advertise all these stations but most of them are infomercials, this is a rip off. When you can't even get a local station anymore that is just wrong, I would like my bill to reflect that I am not getting the stations I signed for, you did not keep your end of the contract so I want out.

WE HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR OVER 21 YEARS (ORIGINALLY PRIMESTAR BEFORE NAME CHANGED TO DIRECT TV). EVERY MONTH HAVE TO ARGUE ABOUT HIGH COST FOR EXISTING CUSTOMERS COMPARED TO "NEWBIES". WHEN ASKING ABOUT NEW GENIE PRODUCT WAS TOLD THAT I WAS ELIGIBLE FOR A "FREE UPGRADE. THIS WOUND UP BITING ME 5 MONTHS LATER WHEN i WANTED TO SWITCH TO FIOPTICS THROUGH CINTI BELL. AFTER 40 MINUTES OF ARGUING WITH THEM BECAUSE I WANTED TO END SERVICE..I WAS FINALLY TOLD...SURE YOU CAN END SERVICE BUT YOU WILL OWE 100 DOLLARS PER MONTH FOR THE REMAINING CONTRACT ..WHAT CONTRACT?? APPARENTLY THE "UPGRADE" LOCKED ME IN FOR 2 YEARS!!...BOO BOO FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Directv - Lost satellite connection

Live in Illinois, had a thunderstorm earlier in day, put tv on later that day received message searching for satellite. Well its still searching 48 hours later. Called customer service said it would cost 49.95 to have a man come out and inspect to see what the problem is. Didn't mind the pricing, but they told us it would be Thursday before they could come out. That is 6 days after I called. You would think they would have servicemen available within 24 hours. I am definitely getting rid of Direct TV. Its shameful to keep customers waiting this long. Something should be done.
