Directv - Could not disconnect/ rude, ineffective customer service.

I want to disconnect my service because we do not watch tv much. One hour waiting, 5 disconnected phone calls, one useless supervisor. I still have not been able to reach anyone to have my service disconnected. Each person was ruder than the next. I was asked to pay my (non-late) bill each time, but not one could get me to the department to cancel my service. Their website does not allow for this feature. I tried to be very polite and understanding. The best the supervisor had for me was that I could try to call back tomorrow. She hung up on me because she had to "assist other customers". Thank you, "Ms. Andrea". That was extremely caring and thoughtful of you. In the meantime, I guess Netflix and I will start a new relationship with each other.

Directv in San Antonio, Texas - Review about Rude Staff

Just plain rude! I just wanted to get pricing and I told the rep I would call tomorrow to set up billing/payment. She asked why and I started to explain and the lady hung up on me! Not going to go with direct tv. Rude sales reps. I use to work in sales, people come back when you go out of your way and show respect and politeness!

Directv - INSTALLED DISH WITHOUT PERMISSION OF OWNER, HOLES IN ROOF&SIDING&WALLS

I recently had my 3 family home that I live in renovated to the cost of over $100k. One of my tenants had a dish installed directly in the front of my home and the REQUIRED CONTRACT with my name on the top indicating that MY permission was required was ignored. When I contacted DirectTV they told me to send an estimate for the damage from a professional contractor with photos and copies of any contracts. It took my time and effort to get the estimates, sent all this information with return receipt mail and after 3 weeks it was turned down. I have been on the phone for hours getting the run around and each time another 'supervisor' sends me to another who tells me all the required paperwork was properly filled out. When I ask them WHERE is MY signature on the contract they change the subject and tell me the installer did everything correctly. THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS AND CORRUPT. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

that was your tennants fault. they gave the tech the permission to install the dish.

the techs can not see the contract that you and your tennant have.

they ordered directv so therefore it is their responsibility. get your head out of your butt.

If you are having issues with your damage claim you can always contact them directly at 303 712 5033 and try the general mailbox option 1 with your information. Keep in mind this is a busy time of the year but you also have the option of emailing the office of the president or calling 1 800 531 5000 and speak to technical to re-escalate.

Directv - Worst Customer Experience Ever

DirectTV is without a doubt the worst company I have ever had to deal with. One of their retail vendors sold my 88 year old father their service and installed it on the spot. He did not want it, but the two big men who came into his home wouldn't leave until he bought. VERY PUSHY and INTIMIDATING. He phoned me upset about what had happened, but when I tried to get them to cancel his service and remove the equipment it was nothing short of a nightmare!!!!! They were horrible to me. Secondly, this retailer was driving around knocking on doors in a senior community where it is posted, "No Soliciting." So, they were trespassing and preying on the elderly. *** It took me 12 phone calls, 4 hours and 27 phone transfers to "The Presidents Department"...whatever that is to try to get it resolved. These guys are horrible. They would not take responsibility for any of what happened and were 100% unwilling to help. Just hoping it is resolved.

I am sorry about both yours and your father's experience. Trust me when I say all companies have both good and bad sales men/women.

Directv normal only directly deals with online sales and over the phone. Door to Door salesmen are normally employed by a third party retailer such as Sam's Club, etc.

If you would like to contact the Office of the President via email, you can do so by visiting directv.com or simply Googling 'Office of the President Directv.' That way you don't have to wait on the phone. You can cancel the service and get a full refund in 24 hours or less of installation, however after that point a contract will be instated.

don't listen the other other guy 775 happens all the time, because the customers screw with the system. they move the main genie HR54 that is powering the whole system and *** *** up, or the power inserter. the customers are retarded.

And sub contractors do 10 times better work than than the main contractors do.

Directv in Bakersfield, California - HOOK UP TV INSTALL POP OUT AWNINGS

I decided to try camping world Bakersfield CA instead of the local RV dealer. Decided to install a satellite on the roof and hook up the 3 TV together and to install 3 pop out awnings. Since they had the exact same model in their lot, which, I pointed out to them, No problem was the answer I got. Took it in on the agreed time and signed their work order. Waited on phone call to pick up trailer on agreed upon day and finally called them I had to be to work next day and needed trailer. After several run around phone calls they said that it would take a little longer and I could pu at 5, during rush hour traffic of course. Got there and they still weren't done, they could only install 2 awnings, 1 was too big, could only get one TV to work, had to go to Radio shack to get some kinda box and couldn't program the remotes to work off of 1. Broke the latch on storage box where they drilled hole to mount connections, didn't clean up sawdust, some how they broke the latch to hold open the door, dented the hot water heater cover (?) could figure out how to mount the Direct TV box, satellite box, and the radio shack box so they just made a pile of them with 20 ft of cords, converters dangling down to the floor. The 2 awnings that they installed flap in a 10 mph breeze, didn't adjust the springs. Please don't go and tell your friends to go somewhere else. They are the biggest rip off people and must have a direct line to Obama BS line

Directv in Tucson, Arizona - Contract not honored

We have been customers with direct tv for well over ten years. If it were not for the sports nfl ticket, we would be gone long ago. When we called to sign up for the football package for the 2014 season, a very energetic agent talked us into getting the one Genie receiver and two minis to replace our existing standard receivers. We understand that all calls are recorded, so we repeatedly asked about the extra charges involved with this transaction. She repeated several times, no additional monthly charges and no hidden charges. She even waived the installation fee because of our "loyal" commitment to Direct TV. An installation date was set and an order number was given. Then she transferred us to a third party finance area. They totally rejected our agreed to order. We suggested they go back to their recorded phone conversations but they stood firm......no deal. After more discussion, they would give a discounted monthly fee but at this point, it was the principle go the thing. We had an agreement and they would not honor it.

It depends on what you currently have in terms of equipment. If you already have an HD DVR with the same services like whole home then going to the genie would give you some additional perks at that no cost you were told about. However when doing an upgrade you are locked into a two year contract upon installation.

If it sounds to good to be true it is....90% of the time with any company when you upgrade there are additional monthly charges...sad to say I work for a company where the sales reps say one thing becausse they do not bother to givedisclosures or read the final updated monthly bill

Directv in Los Angeles, California - Bogus channel line up

I have the 55+ channel line up but over 50% of these channels are infomercial's or shopping channels. Providers should not be allowed to include this *** in their entertainment line up. They pay to be there, we should not pay for garbage. Their equipment usage charges are also outrageous. Our useless congress lets these companies get away with all this *** or force us to spend money on digital converters to get any TV it is all the game of who will grease the government hand the best, and directv seems to do it very well. Directv should be shut down.

Directv in Charlotte, North Carolina - Not customer oriented

Direct tv is not working and I called customer service. They could not fix the issue on phone. Needed to send someone out to fix. My choice was 12-4 tomorrow or if I needed morning they would not be here till sat. First this is an inconvenience to me not having tv and now they expect me to *** work all afternoon tomorrow just to get my cable fixed. If the time was 4-7 it's a little more realistic. Then I would still pay for service those days. They definetly are not customer friendly. God I hope AT&T doesn't bye them it could ruin AT&T image.

Hmmm technicians work normal days like other workers.....tv is a luxury. Geesh, it would be really convenient for me if doctors, dentists, and stores like the mall were open over night because I have to *** work to go any of those places or I wait until my dsy off....oh did you even ask for a credit on your bill..I bet not

Directv in Flint, Texas - Had a 775 code....tech could not fix

Called DirecTV to schedule repair for a 775 problem...scheduled repairs a week out which was okay.....the window for repair was 11:00 - 4:00 , which tech shows up at 3:30......they sent out a contract *** named Cody from Multi-Band....he did not fix problem and was very, very rude and then left ......was on the phone with someone the whole time.......never turns on TV's or touches the satellite dish.....says it might storm.....I told him there is not a cloud in the sky....I then called DirecTV back and they say they are so sorry and start giving me all kind of offers.......which I gave them an offer....this 19 year customer cancelled the service........I should say I cancelled the POOR SERVICE.

Everyone is a contractor of some type, either regular contractor or sub...they have very few actual directv installers, just around phoenix, and they arn't anything special.
