It's simple, go and login to the Directv website, create a account, download the drivers onto your equipment

then use it, duh

Directv - Tv Service Review

I was contacted through mail about a deal direct tv wanted to offer me to switch back from my current provider. I called in and spoke to a man who told me the deal. I told him it wouldn't work for me that I was getting a better deal. He asked me about it and said he can match them for the $35 and give me a $200 visa to pay any disconnection fees.He explained to me that in 3 months I would need to call and cancel my pay channels. I was happy to back to direct. We had previously had that programming for 8 years and grew accustomed to how the programming was set up. The installer came set it all up asked if we had any questions about the service. We said no we are familiar. He had us sign on his pad. Everything was good. Then today I receive a bill that is practically doubled in price. I called in explained that I was given a promotion to come back and my bill was wrong. I was told that it wasn't wrong that I was misquoted and they can't offer me the deal I was quoted. I said ok I would like to cancel. Then the real kicker came. She told me that I entered into a two year contract and I'll have to pay fees for early cancelation. I asked her how I can enter into a contract that was verbal and was misquoted. She then told me that I was sent an email but turns out they didn't have the correct email adress. She then told me to contact you. This is not how business is handled. I should get what I was quoted or let me out of the so called contract. It's absurd to think you can treat customers. I won't be bullied by a cable provider. Thank you. Traci Crise

Directv in Fallon, Nevada - Deceptive Practices

My husband spoke to someone at a call center to set up installation of television and Internet service for 1 year after we had moved to a rural area. When the installer arrived, we found out that there never was Internet service available and that we were now trapped in a 2 year contract for television at a higher price than was quoted on the phone. Called them less than 24 hours later to question a better deal advertised, but was told we were no longer new customers. Also told we were unable to cancel service and were trapped for two years. Had an older television quit working at some point and needed a different box. Was told we would have to purchase a new box from them for hundreds of dollars. Finally, we were at the end of the two years. We called one month before the official end date to cancel, but never received a final bill or packaging to return equipment. Today, received an email that they were going to put an unauthorized charge on our debit card for hundreds of dollars because they never canceled the service. The supervisor said that calling 30 days in advance to notify them was not sufficient because technically it was the calendar month before, not the calendar month of, and because we didn't speak to the correct person when we called. We called the phone number the company offers to customers and spoke to a representative that the company employs and allows to speak to customers? Here is my advice to all potential customers: BEWARE OF DIRECTV. If they allow sales people to lie to force people into contracts, if they have an attitude that they don't have to provide service to current customers because you are now trapped by the contract, and if they don't want to allow you to be free of the contract at the end by trying more dubious tactics, they are NOT a reputable company and cannot be trusted. If you are in an area where you do not have a choice about television provider, consider Netflix, Hulu Plus, or even Red Box instead of Directv. I wish I had.

Directv in Athens, Georgia - Incorrect bill

I want to start out by saying I have been a Direct tv subscriber since 1993. I really did like the service, the picture and the features until recently. Within the last year I have had to replace my receiver box three times. Also, the last two weeks I have had tom call customer service because incorrect information was placed on my bill. The last call I was on with customer service for over a hour. Yes it was resolved but since I had to call the last two weeks for the same problem, I really wonder if it was taken care of. Yes I was given the Sunday ticket for free and some discounts for 12 months. Also, every time you need service its $35. And once again my receiver is not working correctly. Sometime I get shows I record other times I don't, or I get every time slot for a show even though I selected first run. This I can live with its annoying but the incorrect bill every week is not worth the service. I am currently looking at other options.

DirecTV (stylized as DIRECTV) is an American direct broadcast satellite service provider and broadcaster based in El Segundo, California. As of July 2015, it is a subsidiary of AT&T. Its satellite service, launched on June 17, 1994!

This isn't about your service. It has to do with your commercials I was so happy when the two men , moving day , finally left. Now they have been replaced by a guy , married to a puppet. Her ( the puppet ) father shows up now , with a tatto on his arm , as well as the strings I don't know what agency does these commercials for your , but you are being robbed. I'm not crazy about the soccer mom either , I think that she's now a grandmother ( the commercial is old, very old ). Please get a new agency , these commercial are insulting. Directv - Tv Service Review from Lampasas, Texas

This company needs to look into their sales training. The man that sold us the direct tv contract told us many things that were incorrect including the referral policy. The company has been contacted several times by phone only to be told there is no record of TWO referral or a list of items and promises by the salesman. The way my account has been handled has been very unsatisfactory. I doubt the new owners will tolerate this type of customer service. Sure hope so.

Directv in Portland, Oregon - I was charged for service that I have yet to receive full service for. My card was charged twice for 19.95 with two separate account.

I then was given to the MDU (Multi Dwelling Unit) which is to set up service for cable in an apt building. I was told that my service would be turned given quick attention and was given incentives and charge 1.00 to set up a third account and the other two accounts would be cancelled. I started this process on July 2, 2014 and have yet to be contacted for and installation date. I am so frustrated because I was trying to set my service up before my surgery date. I have gotten nothing but the run around from calling various numbers within the dept. of Direct TV. Please help!

Directv in Placerville, California - Killer kids whats the point

On the Lifetime network why all of these killer shows (killer kids) is there not some movies or family shows that could be put on instead of these time of shows. Does Comcast have service in my area. Also what is the point to Haunted houses its not even a movie. The price that is charged to watch Direct TV and the Life time network which is basically all that I watch they have all of these shows like killer kids, cold case, haunted house etc are there not movies that could be placed in these spots lifetime network is not for the family not with these types of shows are people really into this kinds of stuff. really.

it wouldn't matter if you had time warner or directv the channel is going to show the same ***.
