Direct Tv
I do not have an account with direct tv, and they illegally withdrew 1300 dollars from my bank account.. how can they do this... all my money is gone and Bank of America is taking their sweet time doing nothing on my behalf ......... To my understanding stealing money was against the law, but i guess if you are a big company these rules do not apply.. what is a person to do? However i will spend every moment making sure action is taken to resolve this problem.. I am seriously pissed off... Consumer warning : If Direct Tv and steal from me, it can happen to anyone

Changed Billing Procedure to increase billing
Direct TV randomly increased my fees when I upgraded to DVR. The fees that were part of my package for more than 2 years all of the sudden became an extra charge for Leased Equipment. The called in a manditory mirroring fee. Although I have not be charged this "manditory mirroring fee" for the last 2 plus years all the sudden they feel like they can make this additional charge to my account each month. I called got transfered to multiple departments on 1-19-09 and 2-16-09. They are unwilling to acknowlege their problems but negociated a 2 year agreement that is non-refundable. I am feeling trapped for two years. Had I know about the additional fees I would have gone with their competitor when I upgraded. I think they are miss treating consumers and should be punished.

Direct TV UNSCRUPULOUS
Had a 1 yr commitment Jan 08 to Jan 09 4 months in 1 of the 5 receivers went bad (of course only 90 warranty $$) service was terrible and delayed but we did finally get the replacement (at our cost) Was disappointed with cost of service (double what they singed us up for), the deliberately confusing billing practice and the constant charging of our credit card for movies. We cancelled after the year. This is where the fun starts we returned our receivers and then received 2 billings (525.00) for movies we allegedly watched 8-13 months ago. They claim every box was to be hooked to a phone line and that if it wasn't you could still order movies and they had no way of charging SOOOOO beware you will be hit when you turn the boxes in...We have no way to dispute "the direct TV claims" we certainly don't recall if we watched a movie on a date last year... And the real kicker is they also hit us with a early termination fee of ($340) remember the out of warranty box...well the replacement allowed them to extend the commitment 2 yrs.. if that is not ***...of course they have nothing signed by us to allow this, they say its all on their website and we are bound by it...this must be illegal to so blatantly take advantage of people. I for see this company being involved in a class action lawsuit whereby they will be making settlements to all past customers (I will be one!!!) for their business practices....(WE can only hope they survive in business to make these paybacks!!!)

Disconnected service! RIP OFF!
My services were disconnected on Feb. 11 prior to the disconnection date of Feb. 16, though I paid my accurate charges on the account. I was charged 74.99 for the NFL package which included the premier package,per 4 months.In additional, to the full payment, they charged me 42.00 for prorated use of movie channels. The rep claimed I agreed to such charges based on the plan I purchased. Direct TV's customer service to its customers is simply dissatisfing.This is definitely a RIP OFF! The customer service rep refused to assist me any further, until I paid the account!

Direct TV stealth policy
I recently contacted Direct TV after some four years as my remote had worn out. I was told that they would be happy to upgrade my equipment as the old equipment was old and obsolete. What wasn't told to me was that if I accepted the new equipment, I would be renewing my contract with them for an additional two years. Again I must reiterate that I was never told that during my conversation with the agent. I was to have known that from the agreement on their web site. I am very disappointed by this stealth action to regain my business.

Direct TV (well trained rip off artists)
Direct TV is the worst. Customer service is like dealing with a used car salesman. You know you're going to get ripped off, you just don't know how they're going to do it ------- until you get your bill. They'll offer you free trials for items such as NFL sport packages and then when you cancel your NFL package they tell you it was't cancelled, and you need to pay your bill or they'll shut you off. This company plays a game with you. They trap you in to a package deal with a lot of free-bees for a few months, then BAM they charge you an astronomical bill and tell you that no package was cancelled with them.

Beware of Directv!!!
Directv will empty your account. I canceled because of lousy service. I had made two payments by debit card. They got the card number and wiped my account out. They say they have a letter signed by me to do so. However, they will not send me a coopy of it. I did not give them permission to make these withdrawals and it is being investigated my my bank and the Attorney General's Office in Wash., D.C. I e-mailed the Presidents office and I reveived a call from someone named R-----, who just laughed at me when I talked to him. After this investigation, we will see who laughs last. CONSUMER - BEWARE!!!

Direct TV stood me up 3 times for new install
Direct TV is NOT customer friendly. Signed up and never got equipment or phone calls three times over a19 day time frame. Lost 2 work days, 1 day off, all wasted waiting for some one to show up. Customer service sups. e-mailed Corporate, I e-mailed corp. and still no response. Just canceled my order. I suggest you do some homework and ask around in your area, if there are any problems. After not even getting any reply from the corporate customer support team, I quit!! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AVOID AT ALL COST I am looking into DISH Network now.

Direct tv lousey service
I have only had Dtv since 2/2/09. I have had to have a technician to my home 3 times for the same problem. Each time it has taken them 4 days to schedule the appointment leaving us with no tv for 4 days. Customer service people could care less and are not helpful at all. I totally regret cancelling my cable service for Dtv and will tell everyone not to order Direct Tv no matter how cheap their rates are. It is obvious that their service is as cheap as their rates. I guess you get what you pay for.

Ripped-off by DIRECTV
I subscribed to DIRECTV on a special $29.99 per month for 12-months, and 6 months at the regular rate. My bills do not reflect the agreed on price and DIRECTV says, "Sorry, you didn't apply for your rebate in time so you lose." This is fraudulent advertising and really a despicable business practice. The so-called "Customer Service" representatives were condescending, aloof and overall smart-alacks. DIRECTV is a BAD NEWS company unless you want to deal with crooked, uncaring and unscrupulous people. Although I told them over and over that it was THEIR offer, they refuse to budge and insist on charging me $70.65 instead of $29.99 as was agreed.

Direct TV Will Not Return My OverPayment
My husband sent in a payment by mistake since we had dumped Direct TV and I have a balance of $90 that they have reduced to $60 because everytime I call they charge me and then tell me that it adds 6 weeks to the return. I have been waiting since last August for my refund and still not a dime. I dumped them because of awful service and now I cannot get my money back. I have only the 1-800 number that is listed because they tell me there is not other phone numbers to call. They will not give me names but a code number. I ask to speak to a manager and they tell me I cannot speak to anyone else because that is all that can be done.Liars, Liars, Liars. Pissed in GA.

Rude Customer Service
I actually called to help a help member order new service today and I asked about the $50.00 referral bonus. The clerk tells me that I will have to call a differnt number to get that. When I call the customer service person says" sorry , it has to be done before you order the service". I say "well if your reps don't know the rules how can you expect your customer to?" She puts me on hold and then the call gets sent back through the system of buttons recordings etc... The next rep I get "Penny" says the same thing and I respond the same way then she says" We are only human, we make mistakes, I am sure that you have made a few mistakes in your lifetime" WTF!!!! So we cancelled the new service and I am cancelling my existing service. Sad that customer service has gotten so bad!

Direct TV service
Direct TV sales people and customer service people tell you what you want to hear. I signed up in august of 2008 and cancelled service Dec. 29th due to move but I was told I would receive a 50.00 credit because I was referred by a friend and if I sighned up with Embarq here in Las Vegas I would also receive a 10.00 credit each month, well none of that happened. So when I cancelled I brought this to there attention and they told me that they will credit my account with these items and send me a detailed bill in the mail showing if and what the early cancellation fee would be, well 7 days later without my authorization I was withdrawn 279.00 from my account. As you may be I am very pissed off and called them and talked to them politely tried to resolve this and of course they cannot do anything I have to write a letter to a department. ***, Don't ever get direct TV, the service sucks and customer service is even worse.

Direct tv robbery
from the beginning i had problems with the connection an after a month they make an appointment to fix my antenna so i waas with no cable for a month so they said i was gonna bee free because i did'n have the service so direc tv took money from my checking account with out my authorization and no one could help me the bank charge me overdraws $70 i was 4 days on the phone try to find somebody who can help me to resolve this problem but nothing happened so i had to pay everything i don't recommend this cable i had to cancel my service dish is 1000 times better

DirectTV Misrepresented HD sevice package deal
Ordered HDTV 4 weeks ago, and was told they can't install til 6 weeks forward...HMMMM. Was told I am a valued customer and get free install and free upgrade for box! This week got bill for $524 and haven't even got hooked up yet. When I called, (not able to get live person for long time) the gal told me I still have to pay $100 for box upgrade but would be credited for the rest. I don't think so! Canceled my order and seriously considering other options for TV service. How did TV get so damned expensive anyway? Just curious.

The just hit me for 716.90 and now I am overdrawm almost a 1000.00. We used our debit card to pay my mothers bill 1 time amd the had the number on file.
So when she passed away her bill keep going up and the decided to take it out of our account. And yes according to our bank that is theft
My guess is they sued you over an old past due account and won. So they probably have a judgement against you and that is how they were able to levy your bank account. I would call them and find out what this account was.
