Directv in Springfield, Missouri - Lied about pricing, confirmed I was right, but won't stand behind it!!
Signed up for Direct TV and Century link DSL. I was quoted a price and I signed up. They never submitted the DSL order to Centurylink and after sending me the receiver by UPS, stated they can't stand behind the pricing "because I was misquoted". They did a phone survey to confirm I was correct, but couldn't answer my questions so they stated they would check again and let me know within five business days. I check back after nearly three weeks and now they decide they won't stand behind what I was quoted. On top of that, they want me to send the receiver back to get a refund. TWO MONTHES later and never getting hooked up, no Direct TV and sending back receiver.
Directv in Raytown, Missouri - Don't Get Direct TV... Scam Artist
I recently re-signed up (sent me a come back letter) with Dtv and was told I would get the special price. So I THOUGHT it was a good deal, but low and behold they scammed me. I didn't get the special internet price because I had been a previous customer with ATT. I argued with them, because their TRAINED employee told me I was eligible, but they said they aren't responsible for what the employees say and that they were sorry...ha, bull. I then cancelled and of course they hit me with $329.00 early cancellation fees. I wrote a letter to headquarters and the Better Business Bureau. I got a call saying I could come back if I meet the requirements of the remaining part of my contract... I'm thinking this company is totally screwed up if they think I would go back. I then call to get my cc info deleted and of course I have to answer several questions and the csr want's me to tell her everything so she can solve it, so I briefly told her and then she says she can't help me (typical of this company to have to repeat everything several times to several people)I asked for a manager, finally got one, but in the mean time I took a shower, that's how long I had to wait for a manager...lol Manager informs me (after I repeated everything AGAIN) that she would have to transfer me to billing... I about blew a gasket! Finally the billing lady checked my account and told me "unfortunately we CAN'T delete your cc information, but in 6 months it will automatically be deleted... BULLSH*T!!!! The only choice I have is to say my cc is lost so I can get another one if I want my cc inactive. I so despise this company for their UN-ethical practices. Btw when I took my equipment back to post office the lady said "My goodness we have had a lot of these lately" I told her because they are SCAM ARTIST!!!

Directv in San Antonio, Texas - Richard & Carla Crawford
Husband signed contract. He was not told it was for 2 yrs. We had Direct TV about 6 months, noticed channels were being cut. When NATGEO and OWN were cut, I cancelled service July 15, 2013, learned we had to pay $284 for early termination. Plus, you put the satellite up & now we have to pay to have it removed. My husband is 56 yrs old, I'm 60 yrs. old with 1 eye (lost left eye to cancer)/we can't remove it. When those people talk to people about getting Direct TV they should inform it's for 2 yrs., almost $300 early termination fee. I will get word out to beware. Carla Crawford 210-957-4656
Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Poor treatment of a loyal customer
1. Installation can't be provided to an RV or Boat. 2. Change by Directv requires new equipment - since Directv can't install on RV you must purchase the equipment elsewhere. 3. New customers are offered better deals than long term old customers. 4. HD TV is an upcharge with Directv and free with Dish Network. 5. I have been a customer with Directv since they put up the satellite and I get less service and deals than a new customer. 6. "Please return your access card, we will send you an self addressed envelope to your address, which can't be a P.O. Box." "Oh you don't have a physical address.... "Well in that case please send the card to "OUR P.O. BOX" in El Segundo, CA ...... Give me a Break!!!!! 7. In two years my contract will be up with Dish Network, If you really want my business - call me - but it better be a REAL savings for me to change.

Directv in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Fraudulent Charges 5 Years Later after Cancelling Service
Subscribed to DirectTv in 2007. Moved into new home in 2008, had DirectTV installed. Have been on autopay since 2007. In 2012 and early 2013 began having connection problems with Direct that they could or would not fix. After repeated attempts to resolve the connection issues, we cancelled our service with DirectTv. Sent the equipment back and had a zero balance bill. One month later we received a bill for $275+. When we called Direct to question the billing, we were told we had ordered something in 2007 that we did not get billed for. Seems unbelievable as they had our checking account at their disposal on autopay since then. DirectTv continuously calls our home for payment on these charges. We have repeatedly told DirectTv we will not pay this bill as we think it is a fraudulent charge due to our cancellation of service. Now my 22 year old son is receiving these calls on his cell phone. How does one make this madness stop?
Directv in Gainesville, Virginia - Tech No Show 2 Days in a row
We had a scheduled service appt for 7/11/13 between 4&8PM. We left work early to be home early in case they came early. No phonecalls and no one showed up. We called at 8:10PM inquiring and they told us we would receive a call within 1 hour. No call came, so we called back. We were then told we would be first on the list for the next day 7/12/13. We sat there all day and no one showed up. We called several times during the day to find out what was going on, and they would say they would call us back and no one would call us back. Each time on the call they would verify the numbers to reach us. As of today 7/16/13 we still have not received a call or seen a tech. We have been Direct TV customers since 1998 with Brantley Telephone, and also with Direct TV Directly since 2009. I have a list of all the names and times of the people whom we spoke with. This is a deplorable way to treat any customer. Any time we need service in the northern VA/DC area, it's horrible, and should stop. I can understand why so many people drop your services in this area.
I chose to go with a different cable company. I called directv an had my service shut off. They begged me to stay an said they would send me a box to return there equipment. Also said they would pay for postage. While waiting for the box to come they called me about...
Directv in Tampa, Florida - Direct TV Wants Money For A Natural Disaster
A tree due to a tornado, fell in our yard. It did not kill the dish but it did hit it. We called and got Alyssa, and she verified our info, transferred me to Charles, who by the way lives in Montana....so he really doesn't care what happened. He did not express any shock, surprise or ask if we or house were okay! He just kept looking for something he said.....what he was looking for was the contract clause to see who pays for the service call!!! Can you beleive that? He went on and on about a service plan for 8$ a month, but never said it would cover this type of freak accident, and then said it would be 50$ for a tech to come and do whatever. I told they should be ashamed of themselves, for asking so much money for such a freak thing. He did agree he didn't ever get much of anything like this.....but still pay up or.....so he cut the amount in half, and still being a bit rude and short with me, ask what day I would like them. I said well today would be nice, or tomorrow. So we will see what happens tomorrow, and they also do not care if you have to work.....it's all about them. When he ask me about the dish, I told him it didn't look damaged to me, and it was still straight up and standing firmly in place. He said well then it's probably just out of alignment....I said well I can go out there if that's the case and shake it back into alignment, but I know the tech will find something so he can get is 25$ for showing up.....they are a sorry company that will kick people when freak things happen and they are down and still turn right around and try to sell them something.....shame on you and you r poor customer NO service.....
