Directv in Texarkana, Texas - Very distasteful commercial

The commercial that airs today is unbelievable !! With as much terrorism and gang activity and crime how in the world can direct TV get away with such a commercial as this one!!?? It's about a man that get wrongly convicted , put in jail and when he gets out, blows up the mans house that convicted him. I personally was on a murder trial, worked at a grocery store, the man served his time, then one day, he came through my check out line!! To say the lest, I was very uncomfortable!! I do not find this commercial amusing and ask for it to STOP airing.

Directv in Kissimmee, Florida - Direct tv

Direct tv sucks, we switched to direct because the salesman said it would save us money. I explained to him I had a contract with local company for my tv Internet n phone, it was a bundle package. The salesman assured me it would not change anything with my bundle or contract because direct tv was affiliated with them. WRONG!!!! Now I have direct tv and nothing about bring affiliated was true soni now have to pay local go early termination fees and direct tv customer service said its my fault n the salesman does not even work for them and if I disconnect direct tv to go back to my local dealer that's another 500.00 dollars. Direct tv has done nothing to fix there screw ups, they have one lame excuse to another, I hate direct and now I'm stuck with it. Every customer service person I talk to gives me a different line of bs, I have been on the phone for 5-6 hours at a time trying to get this resolved and all I get is it was my fault and they are not responsible for any of it. I still can't believe the best one was the salesman does not work for them!!!! Everything they advertise is a lie!!!!

Directv stole money from me

I cancelled my directv after 8 years of service in June of 2013. I get my bank statement and they took $60.00 from my account so I called and they said it was from a "nascar event package" that I ordered in march of 2007 and since my box wasn't hooked to a phone line or Internet they couldn't see the purchase until I turned in the equipment and they found it on the access card. I don't even like nascar or watch it.I have to hand write a letter and mail it in to be reviewed. I don't care who you are, that's wrong and deceitful. no more business from me directv!!!!!!

DirectTv is well known for the practice of charging customers for movies or other items for years past knowing you will have a hard time proving you did not watch the movie or whatever it was after a few years. It is your word against theirs and they have your money.

How is it our fault that YOUR ppv was not sent to directv for billing, had you connected a phone line to the receiver you would of been billed in 2007 when something could of been done instead of waiting until the receiver was sent back so we could get the info

Directv - MR.

I switched from Dish TV to Direct TV. I was told Direct TV would pay $200- $300 to Dish TV to pay for my disconnect fee from DishTV. For the past two months Dish TV has been phoning me that I have not paid the disconnect fee , and Direct TV has not paid the agreed on amount. There has even been a threat of turning this over to a collection agency, Pay the disconnect fee and stop these phone calls. Is this just a scam to get me to switch? I believe my complaint more than covers the information needed to rectify this matter

False advertising on iPhone directv app

I was investigating adding HBO to our tv through my iPhone app and found a great promotion of HBO and Cinemax for 3 months at $14.99. To add this I had to go to the full we site, which was fine. However, the directv site listed this promotion at $17.99, so I called to speak with customer service. Gary apologized that the app was incorrect but could not do anything about this. I asked if he could speak with a manager to honor what was on the app and I was told he didn't even know where to Transfer me. I know $3 isn't a huge difference but it adds up monthly. We were only asking to honor what was listed. We were with direct tv in the past and left due to relocated where we could not use your services and came back years later. So far this time around I can say we are not impressed.

UNABLE TO GET DIRECTV IN SPARE BEDROOMS

3 months ago I signed up for a bundle package thru ATT/VERISON for a new installation of telephone, internet provider and Directv. I was with Brighthouse services and was dissatisfied with their service. I spoke to an agent at AT&T and told him I wanted services similar to my current supplier, a whole house TV service, Internet and telephone service. I recall he said that Directv could provide TV services, he did say that the service would include whole house service up to 8 rooms with a HDTV DVR that could record on one set and play recorded material in four rooms. Yesterday I hooked up 2 new TVs in some spare bedrooms and I could not get a TV signal. I called Directv customer service and they told me that all I had was a 4 room service with a HDTV recorder, and not a whole house service. The representative also told me that in order to have a whole house service I would have to pay an additional $100.00 per room to have the rooms activated. I am 73 years old, a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant, with 28 years service, and my retired pay go so far. I was told that I would get a whole house service and that all I wanted, It seems that this new generation everything has to be written on paper and a hand shake or an oral contract is not good enough. I took the representative word as a verbal contract to provide me with a whole house TV service, but, it seems that is not the case. Still, I appeal to you, to honor that verbal contract and not charge me for the additional rooms.

Directv in Tucson, Arizona - Worst customer service

Direct TV will not honor the advertised price, even when the wrong order originated from their company. They will say it is your fault and there is nothing they will do to help you. Wasted countless hours on the phone with them only to get the run-around. I would never recommend this company to anyone!Don't trust what they advertise because there a lot of hidden fees that make your bill more expensive than there competitors like Cox and Comcast. They advertise they have the most HD channels, but most of them are info-commercial channels that most people would never watch. SCAM

Directv in San Bruno, California - POOR SUPERVISORS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

They charged my card for a receiver that wasn't returned, when it was returned I was told tht I would have a credit back on the account within 72 hours, I am almost 2 months into this, and I still don't have a credit back on my card. Each time I have asked for a Supervisor, and each Supervisor gives me a different answer. I asked to speak to a Manager, and one of the Supervisors told me that I couldn't be transferred to a Manager. Direct TV is quick to take your money, and cut your service off if you are late on payments, but it's like going through an act of Congress to get your money back from them. I would never go back to this company if they were the last cable providers.

Directv in Waco, Texas - Sarah Fielding

Misrepresentation of monthly bill. I doubt very seriously this goes to the Vice President of the Company as it states on this complaint form. I was warned not to change to DirectTV, but we saw a Promotional Ad for $49.99 and even when I called the company was quoted the same package. My bill has never been what it is supposed to be always higher and gets higher each month. I have sent a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and intend to write a letter to the editor of our local paper. I never had this problem with Dish Network. And I am going back to them. 2 year contract or not, I have all of my paper work and can file a law suit against Direct TV. Probably will not work, but they are not going to be allowed to charge me for 2 years with a contract that they breached . Horrible Company !
