Directv in Olympia, Washington - Early cancellation fee

Directv charged my debit card Directv charged my Debit Card $258.28 for early cancellation when I didn't cancel my account #44252499 and I don't think it's right for you too go ahead and charge my debit card on file with out my permission. so I contacted my bank and disputed this charge. I tried to work with you too solve this problem and you didn't resolve the problem. so I won't becoming back, so you lost me as a customer. And I don't think you should be able to charge any customers debit cards on file with out the customers permission that should be against the law.

Lets make you you get this right I see people make the same claim atleast 3 times a day at work, you say we did not have permission but had you taken the time to read (or have someone read it to you) you would see that you DID give permission when you provided your card you gave permission to debit any amount owed to DTV

Now you know why you should never use a debit card, much less allow someone to automatically debit monies from your bank account on a periodic basis. Debit cards are really for risk-takers.

Directv in Tracy, California - Rude

My husband allowed an Direct TV sales person into my home. She was extremely agressive! I did not get her name because I had just got off of work and was tired. My husband being the nice guy he is listened to her SALES pitch. She asked us for our COMCAST bill and she kept saying she was affiliated with Comcast! My husband asked me for the most recent bill and I gave it to him. This girl was in my house trying to sell us Direct TV. I told her to let us look into it and if she had a calling card, we would get back to her. She said that she is here to sell-- had lots of appointments and not to waste her time!! Kept point out the figure of what I would save every month. She was extremely rude and overly agressive. I was extremely annoyed and walked into my kitchen. A couple of minutes later she stood in front of me showing me the $$ figure of how much I would save.. This girl was extremely rude and agressive!!!! I felt extremely disrespected and invaded!! Directv in Little Rock, Arkansas - Mlb extra innings

i have a free one year subscription for mlb extra innings, but for almost the past month unfortunately, I am unable to watch the KC Royals. I spoke with a service technician last night 5/30/13 a nice young lady named Rhianna and she informed me they are blacked out in this area. I have to believe this is intentional because they have a double a team in arkansas and I think it has something to do with me changing from uverse or when i called at&t to cancell myH.B.O package because i thought my discount had expired, but was informed that the discount is good until july. It just seems very odd that the team I want to watch is blacked out, and it coincides with me bieng billed on my at&t uverse acount which i cancelled the TV. part and me calling about cancelling my hbo showtime package. Why is this the paticular team being blacked out? When they play a team like the Cardinals which isnt a team blacked out in this area I still cant watch. I feel someone from management owes me an explantion. Honestly ask yourself what would you think if it happened to you come on!

Directv in Tallahassee, Florida - Still being billed after turning off service

I recently moved from AZ to FL. I contacted DTV and they told me they would put my account on suspension until I found my new place and if my new building would allow dtv. I called dtv to tell them I found a new place to live and its in a high rise and I don't think they allow dtv but I still went thru the steps, had the installer come out and he verified that DTV could not be installed here and he contacted DTV and told them that DTV can not be installed here. SO, after 1 month I get a bill for $319 dollars(is this what I was paying per month).I sent them an email on their website telling them about the mistake. So I guess I will see if they rectify my bill

in whatever ways it accounts they could get ahold of ...

disconnects , payments to wrong accounts ... false charges , rudeness , controller !

Direct TV is crooked. Don't switch. Lied four times. Charging more than promised. They promised us $79.99 for the entire 24 months. I repeated it twice to make sure it was that amount and now it turns out it will be $42 higher the 2nd yr. They say they can't help that their employee told us wrong and promised 4 times to look into it but still no help a month later. Each time they promise to check the recording but then say it hasn't been done. I've had to spend a huge amount of time which has been totally wasted to try to get them to honor what they promised when they signed me up. They lie, cheat, and steal!!! Don't trust them!!!

We agreed to upgrade to the genie service in September, not agree to extending our service. We are now moving and getting a charge for $400.00.

Also the genie tiles during certain programming.

I would not go back to this service ever. We where a customer for 7 years and they will lie about a customer third party agreement?

They called said there is a promotion have an upgrade to one of my receivers from basic to HD receiver and extended the contract another 2 years without letting me know that it is the norm. When I came to know they have done this I asked them to take it back and I don't need it and they said it is already done. I think this is a fraud.

Directv in Wellsville, New York - CSR rude..... I failed to write her name down

During the past month I acquired your protection plan. To this day I have not been able to list the equipment I have in my house. I did not write down her name but if you search records you should be able to see who she is. I called for help one day and the CSR was very rude. She either doesnt like her job or she doesnt realize some people are not able to function well on the computer. This is the first time I was able to find this screen which was by mistakeor I would have sent message sooner.

If you want service calls they are 49.95 without taxes to fix a dish or cable...iit is free with the protection plan. If you need a replacement remote it is 15 plus yaxes without the protection plan, free with it.

If you need more than 1 replacement receiver in a year the first is 19.95 for shipping the rest are at full price ranging fron 69 to 299 all are free with the protection plan....also you are now gauranteed an upgrade to the latest equipment for free every 2 years with the protection pla. Without it well you better have a good payment history and never ever be late and hope you can get a discount on equipment. As for the rude csr...shame on her.

You should have asked for her supervisor. Repeated rudeness is not tolerated and if people complain shevwill be written up and eventually fired

Directv in Carthage, Illinois - Direct TV are stealing!

I have not been under contract for 3 months now. I called to cancel a month ago. Not only did they bill me for the next month, but I have gotten nailed 2 $300 fines in 2 days. The first one was because I didn't return equipment. I understand that, and later yesterday, I returned them. Today I got hit with another $300 fine. When I called to find out what was going on, I got hung up on. I called back, and as soon as the lady got my account information, she hung up on me. This has happened 5 times today, and each time I didn't say anything but my phone number. Just filed a complaint with BBB, State Attorney is next, and I will start writing letters to everyone and anyone that will take them along with telling the story on every forum and Facebook account I can get ahold of. $600 is more than a week's pay for me, I have a baby on the way, medical bills and normal monthly bills piling up. I can not be dealing with them stealing money from me!

Hope this is the right place to complain about companies. I have had nothing but trouble from DirecTV. They were trying to charge me more than $700 for early cancellation and some other trumped up charges. I got it down to $ 360. I was with them 2 years from April 2010 to April 2012. My bill doubled. Now I get TV and internet for less than they charged for just TV. I am fighting them tooth and nail. I owe them nothing. Anybody else have problems with them? Does anyone have any suggestions ? I would like to contact their shareholders.

Directv in Hornbeck, Louisiana - Direct TV. Cannot get installed

My wife and I were Direct TV customers in the past. We wanted to once again to be customers, however it seems impossible for us to get an installer to come to our house. We were told that a service person would be here on Tuesday, between 8 & 12. We were called early that morning to confirm we would be there at 8am...I took off work and waited until noon. A DTV representative called and said they would be here between 12 & 2 . No one showed up. I called DTV and the said they would have a service person here between 12 & 4 Wed. I took off a1/2 day....and waited, no one showed up. DTV called after 4 and asked if the time could be extended to 6pm...I agreed....no one showed up. I called back and cancelled the request for DTV....I have missed too much work and I cannot continue to waste my time and drop my paycheck waiting on DTV not to appear. We really wanted to have DTV, but now I cannot afford to miss anymore work. We tried. Dean Lambert

Directv in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Direct TV keeps raising my bill cuts service

The ads start out at $29.99, 34.99, 39.99 What a joke try to get that! We started with 29.99 which costs $55.06. Many of the programs we wanted have been cut, however our contracted bill went from $55.06, to over $94.00. and we lost stations.(but get more infomercials???) My wife and I are retired & cannot afford $94.00 per Mo. Also; Direct TV calls infomercials, programs. I do not watch infomercials. In short think twice before you go with Direct & then go with anyone other than them. Very dissatisfied, Greg Z.
