I am not very happy with direct tv. Why do u pay for insurance and wheiun I ask for a tech to.come out. They try to say its the tv. Why offer insurance and when you need them they can't or want send a tech person out if that's the case pay the loyal customer the money to fix the problems. I am NOT a satisfied customer. Looking into going with dish network. I've been with directtv for a very long time. This is just darn right insane. Do better with customers and maybe you can more customers. thanksi

I've been having problems with my dvr cable box. I've called n spoke with 3 different tech people and did everything they asked me 2 do to try n fix the problem i requested that a tech be sent to my residence because the problem is still happening. And I do pay insurance every month now they are sending me some more cables. I still will need 4 someone to come and put the cables on. I do not work for direct tv n plus I've been a loyal customer all I ask is for someone to come and fix my tv.

Bait and SWITCH QUOTE ONE PRICE AND CHARGE A HIGHER PRICE ADVERTISE 54.99 AND CHARGEING 71.00 NOW IT'S 102.00 I FEEL A CLASS ACTION SHOULD BE STARTED TO PAY EVERYONE WHO GOT SCREWED BY DIRECT TV also tech stole the cinima connect box from my home office. They can never give you a straight answer. They always tell you your getting this rebate and that rebate. How does the federal communication commision let them get away with it ? Do they get a cut? Really a shame that they are allowed to false advertise.I Need everyone to band together and go after Direct TV for over chargeing the thousands of customers nation wide.A hefty billion dollar settlement for the consumers would straighten there *** out. Ane set a precedent for the other companies to think about screwing the public.

2 Issues. 1. When called for help with a dish aiming problem I was told - you pay me first then I'll tell you when we will come out. With that, I got someone else to do it. 2. I called about an increase in my bill. I was told that you can raise the rate at will. I believe you have violated my contract by doing that. I'm only on the hook until September, but we'll see how it plays out. You may be 1 of 2 companies, but memories are long and it won't always be this way. Steve Cox

I simply called to ask how I would be able to stop the tremendous amount of junk mail sent by the company.I am not or would never be interested in their service, if you call that service! They hung up on me every time. How do they stay in bussiness? Every body Kwows that Direct TV sucks and don t care about the customer but only the monthly fee. Shame on you. I imagine that the people in the upper positions don t care because it all starts at the top. Low moral usually has something to do with it as well. I don t understand how they could get away with treating people like that. Someone needs to put a stop to such behavevior. No need to be so IGNORANT!!!!

Directv - Subscriber Beware

Beware of using Direc TV as your cable provider. I recently terminated my subscription with them. On Monday morning I woke up to find that they had withdrawn $294 from my account for termination fee. I did not authorize the withdrawal. They simply used my card information that I used to authorize my monthly payment. Direc TV is currently embroiled in a law suit for this exact practice. So if you want Direc TV to pilfer money from you without your permission, go ahead a be a subscriber. Shame on you Mike White CEO of Direc TV. I told you that I would send a blast out letting as many people as I can about your companies sleazy behavior. If I cause even one person to choose another provider then I have done my job well. Direct Tv is full of *** I agree 100%. I signed up with them 10 months ago under the impression that my bill would be around $46.00/ $48.00 a month taxes and fees included from a plan of $39.99.

Im the type of person tgat budgets. Therefor I asked the rep what my monthly bill would be before agreeing to the contract and he assured me that it would be the rep I spoke with assured me that my bill would be $46.00/$48.00 taxes and fees from a $38.99 plan. Went through 3pv and agreed to pay what was discussed. There bills are so difficult to read there reps were never able to explain to me what I was paying for and why my bill was higher $60/$70/$80/$90/$100 and more never what I agreed to or the same.

Now my monthly bill is $90 a month. Which is ridiculous seeing as though I have no movie channels or channels I watch because there not included in the package.

Bottom line is Im locked into an agreement that i didnt agree to.

Every time you place an order and they take your card info they tell you (sometimes through the agent selling you the product AND third party verification)that your card info is kept on file and can be used for early cancellation fees and non return fees. The agent HAS to tell you that or they could be fired. The company nor its agents are trying to scam you.

Directv in Albany, New York - Sleazy contract, shoddy installation

Apparently the fine print in their contract stipulates that any necessary repairs to their installation must be paid for by the customer. Yes, we should always read fine print. Reality: it's a long contract, the fine print is very fine, and I have a foolish tendency to trust major national companies. So about a month later it stopped working in my daughter's room, and they told me I'd have to pay for them to fix it. We'd never even touched the wires! So I cancelled my contract and refused to pay early cancellation fee. Collection agencies have been after me ever since. This has adversely affected my credit report, but guess what -- I still won't pay. EVER. Disgusting policy.

The receiver in my bedroom needs to be reset every month when I use it for visitors. The rep said I had to turn the system on every week. The authorization period on the receiver runs out. The very unsympathetic customer service rep offered no support. Even though I pay for the service every month and I don't see a reduction in my bill when this happens. I was given no other option except quit DirectTV. What a terrible business attitude. I will have to replace 4 receivers, 3 DVR. The 2 satelites will have to be removed. New cable equipment installed. But, I feel so strongly about the issue I plan to do this. I know issues happen with other providers. I'm not unrealistic. But, this authorization issue is unacceptable. A service that I pay for should not be interupted like this. And the rep that offered no help needs a new job.

Directv in Maple Grove, Minnesota - Lies and TV Reception

It started with the direct tv salesman, he stated they had developed a new dish with in the past 6 months that they buried in 5 feet of snow and still got a signal (first lie). The installer said the dish he was installing was the same one for the past 5 years. We would get rain, light winds, snow and we'd lose signal. This is Minnesota, we get rain, snow, storms, we need tv for weather info...we'd lose signal and would have to use our 13 inch with antennae to get weather info. The salesman stated we'd get a Best Buy coupon for $150 but forgot to mention we'd have to spend $400 to get the $150. (Second lie or misrepresentation).
