Watch your bank account! If you cancelled early.

I had DTV for awhile and was so happy when I got rid of them.It makes me almost sick now when I see them in the Walmart stores and Sam's Clubs selling their BS to other customers. You might want to check into getting a Roku player.

I did this and got an indoor antenna for the local channels and Viole! No cable Bills, other than internet service.

WRAL and FOX 50 have a contract with DIRECTV that expires on Dec. 31. Too often viewers get surprised by these negotiations between local stations and satellite providers. So we want you to know what's going on right now. We want our news, weather, sports, local...

We want our local weather channel back! If this childish, selfish behavior continues we will cancel our membership with Direct TV. Stop putting viewers in the middle of your dispute.

Directv in Corvallis, Oregon - Century Link/DirectTV Package

Advertising and sales pitch was to good to believe, But I sign up for service anyway...Big mistake. DirectTV has a reputation of selling at one price but billing another. I spent 3 hours on the Phone with DTV before signing up form their service explaining this to their sales person. He assured me this would not be the case this time.... Guess what 3 months later DTV jacked up the price. I called CS to disconnect my service 5 months ago.... they are still billing me... they refuse to return my money and stop billing me. DTV does suck!

I went to sign up with Century link, didn't even instal and set up the equipment and cancelled the next week. 5 months later my Direct TV was cut off and I was back owed $300 from Century link.

Nobody ever told me century link took over my Direct TV account.

All that was mentioned was "do you have direct tv, if so I can save you $5 a month, what's your account number" that was it. long story short I now have bill collectors hassling me for payment to Century link which I never had.

I have seen other complaints about this kind of problem with this company and am beginning to investigate whether something can be done.

Directv in Horseshoe Bay, Texas - Direct TV Will not serve my home.

Two orders, two days waiting, no service no answers. Tried to switch fromm Dish to Direct TV but Direct TV will not enter roof to point where current dish mounted and cabled. We are a community of metal and tile roofs. No other option offered so Techs cancelled orders. Complained to manager both times. First day complaint got me new order and commitment contract installer would do the work. He reviewed job, said he would return. Did not and found he cancelled order with no call to customer. No 1 Satellite Provider, what a joke. Stuck with Dish, Tom from Texas

Directv has rules and osha has rules. The installers did the right thing.

Please stay with Dish. We don't need ignorant customers

dtv polices will not allow a tech to put dish on a metal roof. maybe they can put on a pole, but he must have a line of sight to do so. And there may also be a charge to do that as well.

Directv

I was a customer for over 10 years and they continually increased my bill therefore I turned off the service and got Dishnetwork.....They automatically deducted the "final bill" before sending me a statement, then 2 months later decided to take out $44.95 for a pay per view fight that no one ordered. I am the only person in my home and have NEVER ordered anything like that. Called and the *** rep said "well someone ordered it"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would NEVER, EVER use their service again if they were the last tv service on earth. They are the biggist rip off I have EVER seen!!!

Directv in Grand Rapids, Michigan - $50 upgrade fee to add service!

I have been a Direct TV customer for 7 months and I just want to add an additional receiver to my house. I had the technician hook up an additional outlet 7 months ago during the initial installation and he never mentioned a $50 charge + a $49 installation fee when I ordered an additional receiver. They can't tell me the reason for the charge only that they can't waive it. I'm adding service and willing to pay $199 for the HD/DVR receiver and $6 a month for the additional service. As far as I can see the $50 is just pure profit. Unfortunately we both lose because I refuse to pay the fee so I am not adding additional service.

The upgrade fee is incorrect. you shouldn't be charged that.

I just had the same experience. I've had the service for 4 months.

I called to add a TV to the service. Quoted $99 for receiver, $49 for installation, and $50 for upgrade fee. I cannot understand the upgrade fee except to rip customers off. I wasn't deleting a service, I was adding a service.

I even spoke to a supervisor(assuming it was a supervisor). And she said no way to waive fee. I didn't believe that one. Well, I did not add the TV.

Now I'm looking forward to the end of my contract.

Too bad. Up till now, I liked DirecTV.

Directv in Cambridge, Massachusetts - Direct TV encourages identify fraud

My name and SS were used to open a direct tv account. No verification was made of actual identity by the company. I called the fraud department for a week. It's an answering machine. No calls were returned. I finally spoke to someone and they said all I have to tell them is a name and SS, verbally acknowledge I am 18 and I can get service. That is ridiculous. Now the burdon lays upon me to prove I didnt have that account. The list of hoops I have to jump through including address verification, notarized papers, and police report, will only get them to "look into" my claim of fraud. They took advantage of a mentally ill person and they took advantage of me.
