Directv in Mount Laurel, New Jersey - DIRECT TV SUCKS
I own a loft in a 4 story building in a historic district. The DTV guy came out and ran 4 cables down the side of th building and into windows. Not allowed obviously and so they came out and fixed. Came out 3 weeks later to fix all others and disconnected ours again. On hold now to expalin the situation to someone in bumf--- Egypt so i can try and expalin what they will never understand. Really dispise this company and look forward to the day they file for bankrupcy. A business can have a monopoly while sucking for a while but not forever.
Directv in Portland, Oregon - What happened to local Tv channels 11/20/12 in zip code 97070?
We lost all local channels tonight! No ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS etc. etc. Very very Mad! Why did this happen? If I need to add more words all I can say is why why why. If we can't have our major channels, then we are not keeping Direct TV. We need an explaination! What could posses Direct to cancel our major TV station? Keeping cable channels does not cut it. I especially miss the PBs station! Please help and get the channels restored right away. it is really silly that i have to have 100 words to post a complaint and so it forces me to run on and on about this problem. But is really is too much to have all major channels unavailable for hours and hours...and who know perhaps from now on. Please fix this problem!
DirecTV services missing, tech support useless
Got service installed last week after finally leaving Time Warner. Installer was great, but numerous features weren't working. I was told they would be up within 24 hours. The features that don't work on my new Genie box are: Apps, ALL DirecTV Everywhere functionality (iPad, iPhone, laptop), and Sunday Ticket Max streaming on mobile devices. I've made 4 phone calls into DirecTV to get these issues fixed, each from anywhere between 1-2 hours long. Yesterday they sent a tech out who was here for almost five hours. Every time I have directed the "tech support" person to the DirecTV support forums (hosted on their own website mind you). This site is full of 5+ pages of these exact same issues. There is even a post that outlines how to fix these issues, which is backed by many of the people that had the same problems as me. Tech Support continues to tell me what I'm asking isn't possible. One of the fixes is a new Genie box. It's been proven time and time again to fix all my issues. The support person finally authorized a new box to be installed, but then said she couldn't activate it, and that the ultimate problem was with my router. She then told the tech to unhook the new box mid install, and informed me that changing my IP address on my router would fix the issue. Guess what, it didn't. It has already been five hours and it was dinner time so I told him to just leave. So here I am, with 10+ hours invested into "tech support" and no resolution. I'm at a loss of what to do now. I moved to DirecTV for a better viewing experience and better CS. So far I've wasted tons of precious time, and its all been for absolutely nothing. After I pose here I plan on writing a complaint letter to their HQ, but I'm not holding my breath. If its not fixed soon, I'm calling them and telling them to cancel my account and come pick their stuff up, plain and simple.

Direct TV ripped me off! I am a disabled veteran, I live on my disability check from the VA month to month. My direct tv contract ran out, all my discounts expired and my bill was sky high so I called to change my plan to a more affordable rate. My bill was about $89.00 a month. They put me on what they said was the next plan down. I got half the channels as before. (still had all 200 of the info-mercial channels) They said my bill would be $55.00 a month. AND! They would "throw in" the sunday football package.... It was all lies and deception. The $55.00 would soon go back to $87.00 a month because my new discounts for signing back up were only for 3 months! So when I called to cancel my subscription because of bait and switch tactics, they hit me with a $100.00 penalty for canceling the football package THEY THROUGH IN!!! Dont fall for this free football package because it obligates you NO MATTER WHAT! EVEN IF YOU ARE A 100% SERVICE CONNECTED DISABLED VETERAN WITH MULITIPLE AMPUTATIONS! THEY "JUST CAN'T" FIX THE MISTAKE AND MAKE IT GOOD! IM SCREWED AND I AM GOING TO RIDE THIS OUT TILL MY CONTRACT OBLIGATIONS ARE EXPIRED BUT I AM GOING TO EVERY SINGLE SITE I CAN TO POST A COMPLAINT ABOUT DIRECT TV BEING A RIPOFF!!! Tell everybody you know!

Directv are extortionists
I called Directv to switch my services to my new home, as they advertised a movers deal, however I did not qualify and they wanted more $$ from me. So I switched services and called Direct to set up a payment arrangement on the termination fee, they said no problem, however they overdrew my account anyways and said the only way they could fix it was if I started my service with them again, otherwise I was out of luck and don't call back. I believe that is extortion and will never use their service again! They are liars and thieves, and the sad thing is they called 5 days after I had my new service with TWC installed to offer me the deal I had asked them for in the first place.

Start of service date on or about November 14, 2011. Service contract is for a 24 month period for "Choice Extra Package" at $52.47 per month. As a new customer Direct TV purposely miss leads people into signing up for a "free three months" of movie channels, some sports programs and a host of other items not included in regular programing. The real deception is at the end of the three months. If you do not contact Direct TV to "cancel your free" programing, Direct TV automatically bills at a much higher rate. On April 6, 2012 at 3PM, I called Direct T-V and after 15 minutes of being badgered I finally convinced them we did not want to continue with "any programing that was above the cost of our contract of $52.47 per month. May and June bills were at the reduced rates and we assumed the billing as correct. However in scanning over my automatic deductions I see my July bill went up to $85.46 and again Aug, Sep, and Oct. Nov.16 2012 a detailed bill (I got on-line) was for an additional charge of $32.99 for" NFL Sunday Ticket". Two agents later I was told I have to pay the $164.95 because NFL Sunday Ticket came with last year's free sign up package." I would never have kept a football package because this family never has watched football.
called and got a payment extension from the 15th till the 19th but due to storm Sandy my payroll check wasn't going to get to us until the 21st. i called to see if i could get the interruption date till the 21st i was told that they couldn't do anything to stop...

When we moved into our new house, my husband set up our new utilities. He found a ad on the internet offering Direct tv, without a contract. So we signed up. Our service was horrible. We could be sitting and watching a television show, and our service would go out. After several attempts of having technicians come out to our house and "fix" the problem. We decided to go with Time Warner Cable. Now, today Direct TV has debited our bank account over $1000.00!!!!! I have called the company argued with 3 customer services rep's. Asked to speak to 2 supervisor's. 1 refused to connect me, said there was no need! 1 supervisor hung up on me, when after he read to me the statement that the technician, has entered, that after several attempts and service calls I wanted to cancel my account. I laughed and said "MY POINT EXACTLY!" The supervisor hung up! I am appalled at the Customer Service, the actual service of the company. And the fact that they can go in and debit my account without consent. I believe in paying for services rendered. But NOT for things NOT owed!
DirecTV is a liar
So, I called DTV regarding the bill, which was $104. They lowered the bill to $73 and told me that i will lose only 8 music channels, which I had never heard of. But when i turned on the DISH, the channels that I like to watch were gone. I don't like to do business with liars, and companies who follow unethical way of business. NEVER trust DTV. They are liars. Now they are begging by calling me and my wife each day so that we will change our mind. Also, they are giving us $65 for the same package. Bunch of losers.
