was threatened in an e-mail that i was being sent to a collection agency for a payment of 10.58 that was paid they wanted me to return as a customer which would be a cold day in h---.when i called they put me on hold then said my account had a zero balance if any one wants ripped off get direct tv because they are great at charging customers for service that they never had never put your acct on auto pay they keep your info for years and use it when you move to another address to pay other accounts they can not collect on

Directv in Jacksonville, North Carolina - No tv for lower channels for over 2 hours.

No tv for local channels for at least 3 hours. ch 3,10,13,15 33,43. This happens on a regular basis, usually in the AM. This is the time period when most people watch the news and weather info. for the day before they go to work. no traffic info, nothing. For a company as big as direct tv, I would think you could do a better job than this. Maybe DISH is not so bad. Or maby I should switch back to cable. How about a refund? It seems like I am paying for a service that I am not getting.

Directv in Buffalo, New York - Still No PAC-12 Network!!!

Why is this issue taking so long??? I am shelling out $140 per month for DTV, plus I am spending extra to go to sports bars to watch my PAC-12 games. It is really starting to make sense to suspend my service during the football and basketball season and turn on cable service instead. Doing it that way will certainly delay the date when I can cancel the DTV service without penalty. Well so be it. At least I can save some money by watching at home and Comcast doesn't go out every time we have bad weather.

On 10/29/2012 I applied for services with DirecTV. They checked my credit and told me I was approved and then also received 21.50 from my credit card to start services. I also made an appointment for them to install my services on 11/8/2012. November 8th came around...

Directv in Spokane, Washington - Direct TV Sucks, Lied about Movers Fee

I signed up about 1 month ago and told them I would be moving to a new location within the next month and asked if I would get a new installation fee. They told me NO multiple times. I just spent an hour on the phone and they told me a new install fee is ($199), but I am doing a self install now, not paying for something they lied to me about. They also told me tha t they had the Pac - 12 Network, they dont!! They said they would give me the Sports Pack and the new Genie HD DVR box free. I got the old *** DVR box. They signed me up for Auto Bill Pay (never gave my consent for that either), and am charging me for the protection plan which am not too upset about but never told me that as well. Now I am stuck with a plan with a company that the sole reason I got it was to Watch Pac-12 Sports, now I cant!! I wish I could cancel but they want to charge me $462 for only being with them for 3.5 weeks. I have been with Sprint, Charter, Century Link, AT&T and other companies and have never been lied to like this.

In the early 90's Rupert Murdock(owner of DTV) owned the company that made the access cards for satellite companies, he released the *** for the cards of a Italian, British, and American sat. companies costing them billions of dollars a year, every hacker from that era knows it but it can't be proven, 3 of the original hackers it was released to mysteriously died when the accusations were made...Murdoch eventually purchased all three companies and low and behold his access card company(CDM if I remember correctly) came up with a access card with a time stamp that couldn't be hacked. Now do you think a guy who was suspected of cheating corporations out of billions, murder by proxy, and fraud gives a rats behind about being fair to anyone? NO he doesn't, he is a *** man who also happens to be rich and powerful, he could care less and DTV reflects that same attitude to it's customers. Dish is still being hacked, not sure if they still use Murdocks cards, he was buying them too but the Gov. stepped in and stopped him.

i never recieved my AAA discount, never recieved my recomed a friend discount, and i was told if you ever move well move the service for free. nothing but a bunch of lies,i wish i never got direct tv. there reps will tell you anything to get you sighned up. they must work on commishion and are very despert to lie, a bold face lie! now im moving and cant afford to pay there moving fee of 218 dollars after they discounted it, so shut of my direct tv and put it on my credit report, this company dont care if they ruin someones credit, thats not the american way! please dont ever get direct tv,you will be sorry you did!

I have been a customer of Directv for over a decade, and I am tired of their complete disregard for their customers. I have emailed and written letters to the Office of the President.

When you do that, all you get is a phone call. I was told personally by an account manager that Ellen Filipiak DOES NOT TALK TO CUSTOMERS!!!! I have a petition going about how horrible they are as a company. And don't think going to another company solves the problem-word is there is going to be a merger of some sort with another company.

There was a class action suit a few years ago, but still nothing has change.

Directv billed me for PPV movies from 4/23/08

I received my bill that was $20.00 over my normal charges when I called to find out what the additional charges were for and they told me that they were PPV movies on 04/023/2008 this is 11/14/2012. I have never watched any PPV movies from directv. I called customer service and they referred me to corp. HQ with an address of DirecTV Inc,. Attn billing disputes, P.O. Box 6550, Greenwood Village, Co. 80155 I asked for a phone number and they said they didnot have a number for them. Very Unhappy!!! Customer Service in the past has been very helpful in the past but NOT on this, I think it is a gimmick to charge for some movie they never provided to get extra money, interesting to wait almos 5 years for a charge that never took place.

That is ***! I just had the same thing happen to me.

Why do you wait until years to charge someone for a movie they supposedly watched. I just cancelled my Directv and they expect me to remember watching a movie clear in 2011??

Why don't they just charge the time of the incident?! Bogus!!

It's impossible for DTV to randomly add ppv charges to the card on your receiver also when ordering through the remote it prompts you two times if you want to order so maybe you didn't order it but someone did so you are responsible for the charges
