To say that this company has terrible, terrible customer service is an understatement!! I called the company asking for a change in my billing cycle, because changes in my payday schedule, after they said they would make the change, this was in August 2012, and I was pleased to be informed at that moment ,in August, that this change was made, to my surprise, when September comes by, I have no such change and was informed that my billing date change did not go though, and I happened to find out by chance, I called to check, because of problems I have had before with this company. Examples of this mediocre service is that I get calls offering me pay perview events and after I agree and purchase the event, only to be informed I won't see the event, they sold me, the same day of the event, while this purchase was made several days before, they cancelled the purchase, after I was called by Direct tv, offering me the event!! I also purchased an event, which I never got to see, and was never informed that if I by any chance did not get to see the event, never informed by any way, verbal or on my bill, that if a pay perview purchase, is not watched, I had to call and inform them by a certain time frame, so I would'nt get billed, so, I got charged, without watching the event, and not knowing I had to inform it, I thought they would know if I did not get the pay perview event. I had to claim the charges for sime time for them to correct this, I mean, this was aprox. 70$$. and while they were correcting this, I was treated as a liar, and a theif. Also, the customer service is atrocious, not profesional, and at sometimes very disrespectful. I have had alot of hassle and grief from this company for 2 years, and to top it all of, their retencion department has no clue on how to deal with a simple requisition. I have been unhappy ever since I singned up and recommend not getting this service if you happen to have any other better cable tv service options. For what I'm paying, I really expect excellent customer service.

dish has pac12 sports why don't you have it///////////////////////////////????????????????? IS THIS COMPANY DIRECT TV PLAYING AROUND AND NOT INFORMING THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE PROBLEMS WITH PAC12. THE SEASON HAS STARTED AND NO INFORMATION ON THE PROBLEMS OF NEGO WITH PAC12 BECAUSE OF BEING OLD I CAN NOT GO TO THE GAMES SO I HAVE TO STAY HOME TO WATCH THE GAMES . after 8 years with direct tv I cancelled my service .direct tv customer service is rude and should BE called 'self service',DIRECT TV THEN USED MY DEBT CARD TO COLLECT THEIR CANCELLATION FEE PLUS A MONTH OF SERVICE I DID NOT RECEIVE. This PAYMENT WAS NOT AUTHORIZED BY ME I am disputing this charge with my bank. a lawsuit in federal court is pending against direct tv on just this practice. their defense is that direct tv can bill for service and for NO service.mWOW what a concept=buy from direct tv or not and we can still get your money.

If you were with DTV for 8 years,there should have been no cancellation fees unless you had to have a replacement of their equipment due to malfunction or whatever and this renewed your contract. Hopefully your bank will work with you and get your money refunded but be aware that DTV can also recharge the account.

Directv in Plainfield, Illinois - Contract got extended without my notice - DirectTV

I am pissed of customer with DIRECT TV. Issues with Direct TV. Direct TV cheated me by prolonging my contract without my notice. The customer server are real pretty ignorant bureaucratic, no sensitivity towards the customers. I have wasted my hours and hours of time explaining the same story again and again again, several times to several people (so called managers, and their managers etc.,). And I also felt that their escalations are lateral, not to upper levels. At this point, just like other several thousands of unsatisfied/pissed off customers, I am just hanging in there and trying to adjust to their brutality.

Directv in Mountain City, Tennessee - Charged for service I did not recieve

DIRECTV is a ripp-off. They call it interuppting your service but they are still charging for something you do not have or cannot watch. When calling to disconnect service and to get boxes with return labels to return their outdated equipment to keep from being charged $400 or more they conviently lost any notes or confirmation of cancellation so they can continued to charge for late fees and monthly services I did not have. They also charged me a disconnect fee. I could never get a straight answer about these charges from Customer Care either. They charged me for 2 months of TV I did not have plus. They took 152.97 out of my account. DIRECTV does not care about their customers and they take full advantage of everyone they can.

customer service offered lower rates,taking off add-ons,then agree on services.when bill arrived it was more than what was discissed, for less services.all lies direct tv is useless when trying to get service the way you like it..dish is no better. I was promised a set rate for 1 year. After three months the bill went up.

I have had to call the past three months to get the bill corrected.

Now the tell me I have to pay the higher rate or pay a disconnect fee over $300.00. I have been with them for over 10 years but I am fed up and I'm leaving.

Please share this post so that everyone will know what type a thief Direct TV is. DIRECT TV IS A THIEF.....READ THIS STORY. This individual has NEVER been a Direct TV customer. This individual made the mistake of paying a bill for a customer of Direct TV with his debit card. A few months later the bill was past due again and without permission they charged his debir card. He eventually received his funds back. He cancelled the debit card and received another one that Direct T...V should not have had access to. Unfortunaely the card numbers did cross over and Direct TV chareged his new debit card AGAIN WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION! Now remember this individual has NEVER been a customer of Direct TV. When Direct TV was contacted about the charges he was told by Direct TV that he needed to read THEIR policy about disputed charges from "CUSTOMERS"...again this individual is NOT a customer of Direct TV. This individual lives on limited income and is now in financial stress because Direct TV will not refund his money with out a 10 DAY investigation. Direct Tv has the transaction number and it only took 30 seconds to charge the debit card. They hve been provided all the documents necssary to proved the fraudulent transaction and they still refuse to do what is right! PLEASE BE AWARE ALL....If you use a debit card to pay a bill for someone other than yourself Direct TV contends that you now have a contract with them. THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This exact same thing happened to me. DirecTv is a horrible company and they stole $181.62 out of my back account for another person's *** charges.

They refuse to give me back my money and my bank can not get them to refund it either since I let someone use my debit card number 1 time to pay a bill. I will never do that again ever!

This is a common practice for DirectTV. If you have not done so you can file dispute charges through your bank and perhaps get your money refunded.

Unauthorized credit card debit (DirecTV)

Personally, I have only a $160 balance one month after turning off the DirecTV service, I was planning on paying this bill this week, however, DirecTV automatically debited my credit card with no authorization (I have never approved an automatic debit on my account). They have illegally tried to remove money twice now. I called and they said it is their policy to debit the last credit card on record. SO IF ANY OF YOU HAVE USED A CREDIT CARD TO PAY YOUR BILL, DIRECTV THINKS THEY OWN THAT CARD AND CAN USE IT ANY TIME THEY WISH. Because of this I will be credited and will never pay this bill off for any reason, I don't care what happens to my credit record!

Why don't you go read the agreement where it says we keep the card on file, then here is an idea why don't you pay your bill, you signed up you can go online directv. com /agreement and you can see if you don't like it leave after you fulfill your AGREEMENT

I fulfilled the agreement 10 years prior! This is the typical attitude for a DTV CS agent. And for your information it is illegal to keep the card on file if used periodically, only when you are given the card for a recurring payment agreement may you keep it on file!

I had the exact same problem last week and my bank let the charge go through even though I caught it before it was posted to the account and I had overdraft turned off! They attempted to charge me 4 times before $135 went through (starting with $600)! I was fortunate enough I had already paid my rent and had another bank account I could change my direct deposit to so they couldn't take more!

Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Where the *** are my Lakers this year!!!

I have been watching the Lakers for the last 25 years and if I can only watch the 25 of 82 nationally televised games, I am leaving Directv along with thousands of other people. How in the *** are all you people so greedy that you have created an issue where people in southern California can't watch it's winningest team and most storied franchise? If this happened in New York and people there couldn't watch Yankee games, they would burn down the responsible cable headquarters!!! This is a travesty, and I hope their is a lot of business and money lost, though I'm sure it won't even put a dent in the brass' pockets...
