Directv in Herndon, Virginia - Direct TV Worst experience ever

I just wanted to add one more receiver, but it was not that easy. For the additional regular HD receiver you have to pay $148 to get installed . And your contract will restart from the day you add a receiver . It doesn't matter how long you had the service before. They want us to get stuck with two years contract as long as possible. Yeah it is not going to be two years. And the worst part is you don't hear anything about your contract until they verify your order. They are offering so much to get new customer ,but they offer absolutely nothing for existing customer.

Directv in Omaha, Nebraska - Forced subscription to NFL SUNDAY TICKET

Direct TV signed me up for NFL Sunday Ticket for $32.00 a month without my approval. When I tried to cancel it they said it could not be cancelled. Buried in my statement were notices I would have to initiate action to refuse the subscription before football season began. I am 74 and did not read the fine print in my billing statement. The fees for this NFL subscription will exceed $150.00 and will be for something I did not order. I said I would change cable providers and was told I would pay a significant penalty for canceling my contract.

Directv in Indianapolis, Indiana - Cut off service

I paid the biggest part of my Directv bill on Friday October 26, leaving me a balance of $70. I thought this would suffice as I paid more than the past-due amount. I woke up on Sunday to find out they still stopped my service Sunday morning Oct. 28. Now I am trying to "refresh" but it isn't wanting to work. I think they are too expensive anyway. I pay $100 a month with only 2 televisions hooked up and no premium channels! I'm expecting a sum of money soon, so I think I'll look elsewhere for my media.

DTV bills one month in advance. Sounds to me like you didn't pay on time and rolled over into the next cycle, so you had a past due balance.

Your service then went into level 1 disconnect. Seriously ..to get to level 1 disconnect you would have not paid 2 bills in a row. Now you are complaining that they cut you off. Of course they would.

You have to pay the amount DUE in order to get back on track, not enter another bill cycle and then become behind again.

Tv isn't free. So pay your bills on time and stop complaining.

Directv in Las Vegas, Nevada - Direct tv

Technician came to install but because order had to be changed to add more equipment the original service appointment was cancelled. This is a joke of a service department. The guy is at my house and now says he can't install until a new service order is processed but he will make special trip in he morning to install. Guess what? No tech this morning. Instead, I get a call from direct tv that it will be another day which for me means the following weekend. After Already canceling my other service I am just pissed with the lack knowledge they have about their products and how their service

Directv in Athens, Georgia - Month of Disappointments and Transfer Fees

TO: DirecTV Customer Service In September of 2012 I ordered DirecTV. Then the following happened: "¢ Installer cuts my Charter Internet cable. Denies it and leaves my house a mess of wires. I call and spend and hour on the phone getting nowhere. "¢ Charter charges me $50 to repair the line that the DirecTV installer cut. (I'm still waiting on my $50 claim in the damage.) "¢ The installer ran the signal into my living room by running coaxial from the bedroom, across the floor, drills *** into the wall of my living room. "¢ For over a month we have waited on a back-up installer. They look at it, and say they'll be back in a week. They never show, so we call and repeat the cycle. "¢ I was then charged an additional $10 on my first bill, and had to call and talk to an operator on TWO separate occasions to get my credit for the mistake DirecTV had made. "¢ When I inform DirecTV of our in-city move, I'm informed of a $199 transfer charge. Mind you, I've still not fully had this service connected correctly at my current rent house; and now I'm being charged $199 to move the service. I understand that this is "normal operating procedure" as that is what the operator told me for 30 minutes, as she refused to transfer me to a supervisor. I will pay the $199 to transfer this existing nightmare to a new residence. I will because DirecTV is prepared to charge me $20/month for the remaining 23 months on my contract. I have no choice. I feel everyone at DirecTV has treated me like garbage; from multiple install visits, to long, unhelpful phone conversations. As a customer over these past few weeks of frustration; I feel that I am entitled to have my contract ended or to see this transfer fee waived.

Directv in Chantilly, Virginia - Direct TV lies

when i first signed up for direct tv i was planning on moving in the next few months. the guy told me it was no problem and all i would have to do is take my box and plug it in. well, it didn't work. when i called them they said that they needed to charge me $200 to install it. i already had a direct tv working dish on my new house! i'm now moving into an apartment where it states in the lease that i cannot have a satellite and they still want to charge me a $300 "uninstallment fee" when its my apartments who are not allowing it. i told them to suck it and also stopped paying my bills completely. they just want to take as much money and have you pay as many *** fees as possible. don't fall for it.

So you made a choice to move somewhere that does not allow directv. You are in a contract and want out scott free for breaking the contract because of your own choices.

You made the decision to move to the new place and you made the decision to end the commitment early. Directv did not force you to make these decisions so why shouldnt you pay for your own choices

Directv sucks!!! I called them about our box being dead & almost catching the house on fire (which apparently is our fault for not smelling it sooner or knowing that we needed to unplug it). It started burning at 11:30 pm. We were in the bedroom, and it was in the...
