Directv in Caldwell, Idaho - Century link/Direct TV
I set up service through Centurylink for the internet and tv. The tv service being Direct TV. I will never do this again. I had to put up $170.00 to get the service started which was bad enough, but by my second billing...I received a bill for $197.00. I about *** my pants, I was told that my monthly bill would be $68.00, I had to call and get all the xtra stuff off that they were charging me for, like the 3 months of free movie channels-which I supposedly still had a month free, the service plans, for the internet and tv, and whatever else they were trying to charge me for. It was ridiculous, I had to call Century Link, Century Link would have me call Direct TV, and then-Direct TV would tell me I would have to call Century Link! I have spent three hours this morning calling both companies and still not getting what I wanted done. It's a hassel, I will never sign up for anything like this again-It was a Century Link Representative that signed me up for all of this initially, but did not tell me that I would have to run around in circles between companies trying to take care of things--Don't get caught in their web-I warn you!!!!
Directv in Norfolk, Virginia - Direct sat TV bad business !!!!
I ordered direct TV through Direct SAT. (Actually I called DirectV number directly but during the process my line was hung up, then sometimes later some how the Direct Sat TV have my phone number and called me back.) Anyway, I agreed on deal they given me with $69.99 upfront charge for processing/handling. (Actually they asked for 129.99 but I balked then they lowered it). When it times for installation, first they scheduled for Saturday 9-12pm, the tech did not show up until 3pm. Now he asked for $215 for custom installation because disks cannot be mounted on the roof (I ordered 2 disks because of international channels). I disagreed so he left. The next day I called Direct SAT I they said 2 poles mount should cost $150 so they take half $75. Next appointment schedule for Friday 1-5pm but at 4pm the tech (same one) called me said it's too late so he will come back on Sunday right after 12pm. I asked him to verify on the charges first, he said he will. Then on Sunday he showed up at 2pm and still asked for $215. I told him I only paid for $75. He called Direct SAT and they now said they would paid for $75 and I have to pay the rest ($140). I disagreed so I want to cancel the whole thing. They said I still have to paid for processing fee which is $49.99!!! and right away, I was expecting from profession tech with equipment/tools (ladders, etc.), this guy drove a new SUV with no signs of direcTV except the t shirt he worn. He wanted me to help him to dig the holes for the pole mount, to dig the trench (about 25 ft) for the cables and he WANTED ME TO GET IN THE SCRAWL SPACE TO RUN THE CABLES. He said he would charge more if he do it everything by himself. Anyway in the end my direcTV dream is over and still have to pay $50 for nothing!!!!! I sworn never get back directTV again. If you want to order direcTV DO NOT GO THROUGH DIRECT SAT, DO NOT AGREE ON ANY UPFRONT CHARGES UNTIL TO INSTALLATION IS DONE!!!!

Directv in Livingston, New Jersey - Completely unprofessional and the worse customer service!!!!
I ordered Direct TV bundle package and in which they go with Verizon for internet. I was told that with TV and internet my total bill would range about $80 to $100 depending on my offered rebate. I gladly accepted the service. However, when I ordered my service on September 28th it is now October 15th my internet is still not connected. I received my first bill and it totaled out to be $140 and I still haven't even had the chance to use it. I tried numerous of times to contact Verizon set up customer service and was successful twice but they still could not resolve my problems. I than asked to speak with a supervisor / personnel in charge and they would not transfer me. The guy began asking me if there is anything he could do to resolve my issues. I replied with "Yes, since you could not help in the start, will not transfer me to a higher authority and continuing to avoid my request, i'd like to cancel my services!" The guy HUNG UP on me.... I dialed the number he called me from but only to get a busy tone than contacted Customer Service again to get no answer after listening to a recording for 25 mins. Furthermore, I'm still out of service and yet to receive any help in resolving my issues and it's really stressful and frustrating. If Verizon HR reads this, I'd greatly appreciate an opportunity to talk with you in regards to my efforts in trying to complete my unfinished very unsatisfied experience with this COMPANY!!!!

I signed up with DirectTV over the phone with there $20 dollers off the first year and $10 dollars off the second year deal. I also was referred which gave me an extra $10 off and the representative alsogave me an extra $5 off each year which brought my bill to $41.99 the first year and $51.99 the second year(including everything), he also said he would upgrade the DVR to the delux one that would record five movies at once at no extra charge for life. I called to get cable/direct tv service turned on @ a new location and. I NEVER had their Services before. They try. To charge me a $250 DEPOSIT & my son a $369 deposit because of our credit. In this day & time who has GOOD CREDIT to pay $0. Plus my coworker has DIRECT TV & always complains about their customer service and unprofessionalism. I see why people bootleg cable.. If. I. Had a MILLION. $$$$$ I. Wouldn't use Direct TV. Thats a. Ridiculous method to try & get new customer's. I cant. Wait to. See. DIRECT. TV go BELLY UP! GOOD RIDENCE RIP OFFFS..
Directv sales rep/cust service...horrible
I recently called directv inquiring abt new serviceackages for our new home. Unfortunately the last cable co we had does not service our home, ugh. Our ONLY 2 options if we want cable are directv or dish. Well after a half an hour of speaking w/ the rep (abt 15 min of explaining I needed to go (yes I should have just been rude and hung up) and the rep continuing to speak over my insistence that I was simply calling abt options and pricing and still needed to speak w/ my husband and look into dish insisted I leave some information so that I would have a reference # in the event I did decide to go w/ directv. Well since I made it abundantly clear I had NOT yet decided to go w/ them and certainly did not want to waste that much time talking w/ a sales rep again if we decided to go with them I provided my basic info. Well, I was LIVID to find a BILL in my mailbox for services within a few days!!!!!!! When I called customer service after explaining everything to the numbnut who took my call I was told I wld need to contact the new sales dept! I told him that as a cust service rep he shld be assisting me and it was not my job to spend my day clearing up the mess that DIRECTV CREATED. I am soooooo sick of companies providing *** service and it is then left to the consumer to spend so much of their own time fixing problems that shld never have happened in the first place. Needless to say NOONE I spoke w/ at directv claimed to be able to help me so I've since ignored the bill and now my only option is to look into dish. (I wld rather go w/o cable, but my husband needs his sports :( ..., as I do not like the idea of their contacts and everchanging prices and I do not have the time to examine every minute detail of bills). The crooked sales rep was likely trying to gain commission on a sale and shld be fired!

Ok so its raining and we would like to order a movie for our children. We owe 25 dollars, that was due two days ago and my check is in the mail. Let i say , we are not behind on our bill however we cannot order a movie. Really direct tv! Thanks for ruinin our family night.I could see you guys saying no to someone who is behind on thier bill! Also btw, my service was *** the first two months of service for your installers not connecting dish right. We have had our service for four months, really did we see a credit for two months of complete *** service yet. No!!! Where is that at? My rating for them or you is very very poor. I will never recommend your servive and will tell everyone i know how bad you are. I cannot wait for our contract to be up cause you guys are horrible!!!! I may just pay the extra to get rid of you guys now, what a company you are.
