Directv in Johnson City, Tennessee - I was deceived about the charges on my bill.

I was told when my HD receivers were installed that there would be no extra charges on my bill and that my local channels would remain free. However, when I recieved my bill it had increased by over $5.00 which may seem like a small amt. However, I am a widow on a fixed income. I called and tried to fix it but they just offered to lower my package to reduce my bill. However, they've taken away channels that were supposed to stay and my bill is still not the same. I am ready to leave Direct tv is something isn't done. Thank you, Louise Hathaway

Directv in Mission Viejo, California - Video Freezes

I just spoke to a rude inexperience customer service rep., she told me her system is down. basically too bad, there is nothing we can do at this time. Watching Monday night Football and the frame freezes during a play. NOT ACCEPTABLE. The recording is even worst in regards to freezing. Apparently they weren't receiving pennies from you. If you can't pay your TV bill maybe you should be less worried about having TV service and more worried about fixing your financial situation.

I moved from cable to Direct TV because of poor customer service, well I guess service is better than no service. I was told that as long as I wanted to watch HDTV to expect the loss of signal. That signal was more "sensitive", even though it returns during the same...

We have not had any bad weather just rain since it was installed. The other day we had wind, didn't loose signal, just rain.

Oh and those pesky "solar flairs" that happened during the NASCAR race Sunday and the football game on Saturday...flairs didn't effect other channels just ESPN.

Technician said I needed cable if I really expected to have service not interrupted. Just don't feel like paying $50 to have it not fixed again.

The issue may have been the feed provided to directv by the local channels. Ironocally i have the opposite issue. Fortunately i have a provider because my local channels are unviewable off air....i live less than 1 mile from our broadcaster for local channels..it has been 2 years and i calk they tell me they have not fixed their equipment for antenna users but their cable and satellie feeds are fine

Directv in Dallas, Texas - Crooked, dishonest company.

Direct Tv has horrible customer service. They are dishonest and crooked. Save yourself some money and lots of frustration and skip Direct TV. The manager, Tia, that I spoke with was awful. We ordered Game Plan because it the guide said it would show my husband's college football team. We had the service less than 4 hours when it showed the game was blocked. We are located in South Texas. The game was being played in Middle Tennesse vs. LA Monroe. So, nowhere near Texas. Direct TV would not allow us to cancel so we are stuck paying $46 per month for 3 months. I hope Direct TV goes down as a company.

Directv in Cleveland, Ohio - Direct tv harassment

My daughter and her husband are getting divorced. They have left the area but left their DTV receivers at the house they had. We (my daughter's parents) told them that we would return the receivers (4 of them) to Direct TV. After waiting 4 weeks for the return boxes that they said would be here in 5 to7 days, We called again. DTV said they would send out another set. 2 days later, the 1st set arrived. We know this because we origionally asked for 3 shipping containers. We find out they have to return all 4 and get a new box. They told us that since they already had sent it twice, we would have to pay for the shipping out of pocket. OK, to get this mess cleared up, I'll pay it. Now since sending it back, we have received a call every morning wanting to speak to a person who is no longer in the area. *** hath no fury like a man on midnights thats awakened by a fricking harassing phone call. Their Tecs are brilliant and know what to do in their prospective jobs. BUT the ones in the office don't have a clue of what reality is. My next course is the small claims court.

If you sign up for direct tv you will never ever get away from them. I cancelled them in 2005, paid all fees so i could have dish network instead and they are still billing me all these years later a fee of 55.00.

I dont owe them anything, have contacted them over and over, have talked to managers who have looked over my account, said yes, ok you owe us nothing, that was paid in 2005.

If i tried to sign up with them again, i would have to pay that old so called bill of 55.00. So i have dish network, have few if any problems and will never ever recommend direct tv or use them, will go without tv if everyone else but them go out of business
