Directv in Monroe, Louisiana - 3 days of runaround with 7 different phone numbers and disscrimination
my wife is power of attorney for a senior citizen,she used our money to get this lady direct tv in her assisted living apartment. Direct tv took our money,set up a connection date and time then without any notice cancelled and when we called they claimed because this woman lived with her now deceased son and his wife temporaly and they owe a bill,she can not get service from them until the others pay their bill. In the process of finding out why they took our money then refused,and asking for our money back. We were given seven different numbers to call,got hung up on three times and this is the third day of HOURS on the phone trying to get our money back FINALY we get it back but,that will take 24 to 72 hours to be put back on our card yet, it only took seconds for them to take it without doing the back ground check that revealed that she lived with someone who didn't pay their bill. Direct tv let the bill run to almost 900. dollars without disconnecting the nonpayers but,but someone whom rented a room from them and owes nothing can't even get hooked up. Now folks is that how you should run a company?? give tv to the young non bill paying people,and tease the old by taking their money leading them to believe they can have a tv and then hold someone elses bill agianst them. that is realy messed up.
DirecTV will not remove from mailing list
After we dropped them, they send two or more "limited time" offers per week for moths and months! If they tried half as hard to keep us as they appear to spend getting us back, we might still be with them. They promised service we did not receive and then wanted to charge us for what we paid for when we signed up. This led us to drop them. They never sent the promised "box" to return their equipment. This firm has no customer service, poor responses, a worse attitude, and now seemingly endless "last chance" offers! Beware of their offers!
Directv in Atlanta, Georgia - DIRECT TV IS A TOTAL RIP-OFF
I was told my bundle package would cost me $96 a month. My bill is now up to $158 a month. They claim FREE access in 4 rooms. I really don't get the free part when they charge you $6 for each room. I'm being changed $19.99 for a protection plan I never signed up for. Spoke to 3 different reps for over 2.5 hours 2 weeks ago. One was sending me a copy of my bill from Direct TV because their bill looks different then the bill I recvieve from Verizon. I was being charged $12.99 a month for Showtime when it was supposed to be free for 3 months. Was also told I'd get a box for shipping one of my remotes/boxes because I don't use it and am paying for it. 2 weeks and still have not received either one. I am going to contact Verizon and try to get out of this hosed up contract. I should have listened to my local cable company when they told me NOT to switch that I would be sorry. Am I ever sorry.
Directv in Bronxville, New York - Direct TV customer service is the worst!
After about 12 years as a Direct TV customer I cancelled my service. Direct TV first told me they would send a box to mail back the receiver. After three weeks, no box. I called again. Direct TV said that I had never cancelled my account. Then they checked the records. It turns out my receiver is obsolete and does not need to be mailed back. They still owe me 13.24 and have told me for the past 3 weeks that I would get the check in a few days. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP FOR DIRECT TC. EVER

I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE IS NO PAC12 COLLEGE GAMES WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS PROBLEM. YOU NEED TO ASK YOUR CUSTOMERS BEFORE YOU DECLINE. PLUS THIS 100 WORD MINIMUM IS A JOKE. YOU WANT EVERYBODY TO THINK ITS THE OTHER CABLE COMPANIES FAULT YOU HAD A CHANCE TO MAKE A DEAL BUT YOU DIDN'T. NOW DISH TV IS OFFERING IT AND ALSO COMCAST. DIRECT TV IS THE ONLY ONE THAT DECIDED NOT TO PICK IT UP. WHY. ALSO YOU NEED A BETTER ON DEMAND. OTHER THAN THAT YOU GUYS ARE PRETTY GOOD. EXPECT WHEN WE LOSE THE SATELLITE DISH IN THE WINTER EVEN IF WE SPRAY IT WITH PAM.
Directv in Dallas, Texas - No CW
Dear DirectTV, You should really consider offering "The CW" along with your other channels. It has some of my favorite shows on it and is really the only reason I updated my TV. I don't know why you don't have it already. I'm sure that a lot of people would be happier if you provided it. I could easily get fifty signatures of people who want "The CW" available to them. To be perfectly honest, the only reason my family chose DirectTV over Dish was because it was more trouble to get through to Dish. To conclude this complaint that no one will ever read or respond to anyway, PLEASE get "The CW!" Please please please? I will be so angry/sad if I can't watch my favorite TV shows. I mean, what the ***? Freaking Dish offers it, but not you? Come on, that's just sad. Sincerely, Margaret.
DIRECTV billed me for somebody elses account
My credit card was used to pay for my brother's DIRECTV service. When he decided to start paying via paper bill Directv refused to allow me to delete my card from his account, and just charged over $218 of his bill to my credit card. He tried calling and talking to them and they have refused to delete the card or reverse the charges. Credit card company says its a valid charge because the bill was paid with my credit card in the past and the account isn't in my name. It turns out my brother moved because he lost his job and had medical problems, and couldn't transfer service to his new place so they charged my card for his cancellation fees.
Directv is the worst company
I was paying $175 with Comcast so I called directv. They gave me a great deal of paying $51 a month for the 1st 3 months then it would go up to $71 for the remainder of the 2 year contract. Got my 4th months bill.....$308!!!!! I called and spoke with 6 different "supervisors" getting the run around who all basically told me, sorry you have to pay that. My directv has now been shut off and they can suck a fat one cuz I'm not paying..even for early cancellation fees. This is the worst snake company out there..do not get directv!

DirectV over billing me every month, I have to call every month to make the corrections, they promised 67 monthly fee and the bill is over 130 per month without any premium chanels, last tim I called the customer service person was exceptionally rude, some times they hung up befor taking the call after 10 or 15 mts on hold, I canceld the service and they cahrged fine for doing so, avoid them or you will be really sorry within 30 days. With such horrible customer service, I'd recommend everybody to avoid them. If they don't care about the people wanting to become new customers, how could they possibly care about their existing cusomers?

Trying to get information regarding how to hook up a second tv has been crazy, they have made it so complicated I can't do it any more and I used to hook everything up myself. HD is a flipping nightmare as far as a second tv. No one seems to know anything and tech are dropped from the sky as we are told there are no humans we can talk to in our area. If I could get just plain cable here I would never deal with Direct Tv. I made the mistake of wanting the Hallmark movie channel and now I can't get another tv hooked up and have all these boxs and wires to deal with. I feel the programing is mostly for a population I am not a part of and having programs that actually have talented writers have become non existant. We ahve been customers for 9 years and get no consideration for that ! God please take me back to simple cable!!!! with customer service people who were nice and speak so you can understand them.
