Directv in Cartersville, Georgia - Bad customer service *** idiots!

I reactivated my account on Monday after 5 years.. The rep activated the old standard boxes that I no longer have. I was advised by the rep to cancel my account and call back in 24 hours and I'll get the DVr boxes for free. I wasn't certain about this so I asked the rep if he was sure. He assured me that he would notate my account. To make a very long story short. I did what I was told and called back today! You wont. Believe that I have been on the phone for 3 hours explaining theV same story to these dumb a@$ I have spoken with reps claiming to be supervisors and one of them hung up on me and another randomly transferred me to another department. Some of the employees are rude and condescending! I have been on the phone for 3 hours and no one is adhering to what I was orginally promised although the notes are there. Bottom line, I was asked to cancel my acct and call back to Start a new account for free DVrs ! This is a lie they r liars and the customer service is awful!

And by the way my attitude did not become poor until I was on the phone with them for an hour.. one will loose patience after 30 minutes

Yes but when your on the phone for 3 hours telling the same story to a hundred different people you will be posses. Also if a proclaimed supervisor say I'm going to help you then randomly transfer you to another *** department you will be pissed.

If all the notes are there from the rep and they still are not honoring them you will be pissed.

I was only doing what I was instructed to do. I really don't care about your one bad experience that was your fault

And none of this had anything to do with your poor attitude! I have had 1 bad experience with them out of all of the calls I have made in 15 years and it was partly my fault. Did you ever notice that everything is always someone else's fault?

Directv in Germantown, Maryland - Installation Setup and Service below standard

We purchase a home several months back and the directtv set associate came out and said where the prior owners dish was would be fine and then the installation crew came out and buried the cable. For months we have had reception problems but it finally came to getting no picture on one of our sets and no picture at all during rain. Come to find out that the location of dish was poor and now they are telling me I need to pay an additonal $49.00 for service call and $1 a foot to bury the cable and that originally it was up to the installation tech whether he charged or not for burying the cable. I find this hard to believe since a separate crew came out just to bury the cable and I was never charged. Steer clear of this company.

Thanks for trying to assist. I went and buried it myself, but have to say that when my contract expires I won't be renewing.

I thought that would be the case and I did call and was told that it would be $49. for the call and the $1 a foot to bury the cable. I even talked to a Supervisor and a Manager.

Call in a service call and that will all be free. Relocating a dish/NEW POLE MOUNT IS FREE.im a tech. we never charge if it is a service call.but make sure the tech isnt a sub contracor

Equipment working signal not coming through from 9am til 1 pm all week. All DIRECT TV wants to do is sell us their insurance. WHY WOULD IT WORK THE REST OF THE TIME? nOW BECAUSE THEY RECOGNIZE THE PHONE NUMBER THEY SEND MY CALL TO VOICE MAIL, HANG UP OR MISDIRECT MY CALL TO THE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT WHERE YOU GET A FEMALE HAVING A BREAK DOWN. We have been good customers for over 7 years. DIRECT TV should have REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER. Ithink there must be something going on in our area and they aren't being honest with us.

Im a tech if your signal is going out around the same time every day 90% of the time it is a bad fitting.the cable expands and contracts with heat day and night get the protection plan then cancell it then service call will only cost you 10 bucks hope that helps

Directv in Cincinnati, Ohio - Direct tv accepted then canceled my order.

I had ordered new Direct tv service at my home. I ordered on line. The next day I get an email stating I must contact them or my order will be cancelled. But first some background. My wife had an account with Direct Tv at this address but canceled it a week a go because she has moved to her new house. So I order on line, everything goes through fine. Then the next day I am directed to call a customer service number. I am told after questions that in order for my to receive all the benefits of a new order there must be no service at my house for two years. There were no mention of any new possible service. The package with the new equipment arrived and was promptly sent back. So was my wife's old equipment. This was a new account, and they turn down a person who keeps a credit on his bill.

I was not a happy customer after moving my service and them messing up my moving orders, I paid my bill and would not let them do anything to renew my contract. I had finally had enough of their reruns and channels that no one would watch, I contacted them a few weeks ago and asked when my month that I prepaid for was up so I could get cable turned on and get rid of this mess. I was told 8/21/12, so i was waiting for that time to get cable. My service was shut off on the 9th and could not get my service canceled, I was told that I had to pay another bill before they could cancel my account. Needless to say I went to the cable office this morning and got cable and yanked all of this equipment out of my house that did not work worth a ***! After being a customer for almost 10 years, I will never have anything to do with this company again and I will tell everybody I know about this and advise to never get this service, I hope they go down as bad as they claim Dish tv has. Directv in Piedmont, California - Why I switched to Dish Network!!!

First where do I begin??? I called to find out about their packages and it turns out they have a 19.99 deal so I went through century link to bundle and " save" got set up with 1 box ONLY! After my instal I called and said I thought u guys send more then 1 box?? I have 3 rooms... They said that they are free but before install. This was only a day or so after... I said well I wasn't offered that! So they tried to charge me $65 per box! Plus the additional service fee of $7. As it is there was no good picture allot of digital breakup and expensive movie rentals and too many shopping Chanel's and infomercials! So then I called to get better Chanel's and they put me on another plan... 15.00 more... But never got the rebates or credits they offer! So My century link bill was all screwed up! I had to call on several occasions and speak to different managers! Wasted a lot of time and stress and I got nightmares of speaking to different people and getting put on hold! So two mo go by they fix the issue so I think. I called to ask about moving... The rep tells me it will still cost 65 per box! Plus nearly 200 dollars to move!!! I said then cancel me cause I just can't deal with u guys no more... They said they would take out 360 from my account so I changed my credit card number In case they even try!

Directv in North Miami Beach, Florida - Statements in Spanish

I recently added a spanish package to my account. Now my statements are coming in SPANISH. I called them and explained I wanted them in ENGLISH. Well NO since I ordered the SPANISH PACKAGE I am stuck with SPANISH STATEMENT. I asked for a supervisor who informed me that he could do nothing. This is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Can someone tell me what the *** is the situation with DIRECT TV?? So I asked for Corporate offices number and all he could give me was a PO box to the PRESIDENT who is nameless?????? He could not give that information. How can I not have the option to have my STATEMENT IN ENGLISH if it has been in ENGLISH for the last 3 years. Same name same address really I am just fuming.

Wow I'm going threw the exact same thing right now. I have not written the ceo of dtv, but the lies come from all angles.

And when you catch them in a lie they put you on hold for 20 minutes and come back with what seems to be a text book response hoping you forget the issue. And once they realize that they are dealing with an educated person, who keeps every record. They come back with " oh I'm sorry that's not my department"

Today I cut them off. Went to bestbuy bought a 30 dollar antenna took a whole 3 minutes to set it up, and I have 42 free hd channels.

Pretty soon it will be direct tv who will be bending over.

Directv in Chantilly, Virginia - Direct Tv payper view charges from 2009 & 2010 being charged 2012

I cancelled service with Direct TV June 06, 2012 after being a valued customer of theirs for 5 years. After canceling my service, I returned the dvr equipment through ups. 2 months later I received a call from Direct TV stating that I had an outstanding balance on my account from $94.94 for pay paper view channels that they said I ordered from the year of 2009 and 2010. These dvr's are updated on a regular basis. So, why am I now getting charged 2 and 3 years later? There wasn't any changes in the dvr at anytime from Direct TV. Company cannot explain these charges, and refuses to remove them.

Why does DirectTV do any of the dirty things they do to customers? Because they can get away with it..it is just your word against theirs regarding the movie charges on your DVR.

You Bet! but they do it all the time and they know if you don't pay it will go on your credit report.
