Directv in Hartford, Connecticut - Price promised was not what i was charged for

I went to sam's and they promised me a price that included taxes and everything and that is not what I have to pay. And if I want to cancel I have to pay cancellation fees.... I talked to at least 8 different people and none of them even tried to look further into it. No one has been able to help me and they gave me the po box of the legal department (they don't even have a phone number) to get access to the recording that was made when we signed up. Unless I get a lawyer my hands are tied. But I will, it's not even about the money because it's only 5 dollars difference or so, but I official hate direct tv now... Their customer service is outrageous!

This is a good example of why landlords do not allow satellite dishes on their property.Since they did not charge your bank account or credit card, I would go to all three credit bureaus and file a statement explaining your side of the situation.If you send them anything through the mail system,send it registered letter or fax it to them.

On April 29,2012 I referred my son to Dirwct Tv and received an e mail from Direct Tv stating that I would receive $10 credit on my bill for ten months . I never received credit and called in July and was told to wait a month. I called August 6 and was told that my son never received service. When I explained thathe did get service they looked it up and agreed that he received service but not on a friends and family referral. Since i was present when he ordered the service and received the service and it was immediately after i made the acknowledged friends referral I donot understand how Icanbe rejected from the reward. The fact that Direct Tv entered his account as a non referred account is not my fault. I spoke with a supervisor at direct Tv 's phone number and was told if I call back after 7 days they may be able to tell me if they will honor the friends and family reward that they e mailed me I was eligible for in April. My account is under Susan C. Jones in a verizon package .

Directv SUCKS!!!!

I HAD been a loyal DirecTV customer for 10 years. In 2008 I discovered they were charging me 4 receivers that I wasn't using for 4 YEARS! After a few DAYS of talking to various "Supervisors" I was given a bill credit that only lasted 6 months and by my calculations it didn't even cover the remainder of what I was owed. I have disputed this for YEARS now, finally I left them and went with someone else. Sent my equipment back and continued to dispute the final charges. This past weekend, they drafted my account and said that they print on the back of the bills and in the disclosure online tht if your account goes into collection they will draft the bank account they have on file. They WILL NOT remove it and when I asked when the second part would be drafted so i could avoid any ovedraft fees. she told me I had to WRITE some dept to find out!!!! THEY SUCK!!! They won't let me set my own paymetn arrangement

If you were reading your bill all these years you would have seen the charges. You cant blame someone else when you did not pay attention to your own bill.

I frist order direct tv back in april and i let them know that this is temporary in a few months i will be moving.I asked will this be a problem to transfer service they simple said no just to give them the move date.when i moved the first problem was i needed 130dollars to transfer.then the date of installation the truck moves they give me monday the 6th monday comes and ive been scheduled for wednesday the 8th..mind you ontop that i hate this company know am stuck on a 2year contract with a company that doesnt care..ive missed 2 days of work and now i have to miss a 3rd! I could not get through to a supervisor to save my life..This company so sucks with customer service prompt service or consideration..I so miss my xfinity! I hate hate hated direct tv..i would not recommend them to anybody.they liteerally dont care about there customers!!

Direct TV. is still the most costly company around. Direct Tv. , They cost more than any other company! And than have the B____ to ask for a up date when Direct Tv has not fix there problem . Most likely they will get more costly in the figure . Untill Direct Tv get there own mess fix I will not Up date. I talk to several different cable companies and two different satilite companies and they are dropping their prices to help people like but not Direct Tv. I be companies should make money but not like oil companies. Like I said before; when my contract is over with I will drop this company unless they are willing to change!

If this is the way you communicated with them, no wonder you are not happy. Your understabding of the language and terminology is obviously lacking which is not Direct TVs problem.

English is a wonderful language which is easily understood when learned and used properly. :roll

Directv in San Diego, California - Direct TV charged me for sports package I had cancelled. They had no record of cancellation.

I was given Direct Tv's sports (NFL) package for a few months but had to cancel on a particular day. I did cancel. I was on vacation and was away just over 4weeks and found out my bill was over $ 100.00, $39 plus dollars for the sports package. I had just moved into the more expensive 2nd year where prices go up considerably. They can give no refunds (huh) and would only *** for the month in which I called and that was a credit not a return. . Don't give these people access to draw money from your credit card. They acted as if I had never cancelled. If I cancelled the auto pay, they would charge me $10.00 per month for a service I was getting a $10.00 credit on. Watch your bills with Direct TV every month. They are loosely goosey with their billing and auto draw down. I think hey should face a huge class action for their practices. The movies supplied that are not pay are atrocious. I was excited at first to have them due to the HD improvement over the cable companies. The Olympics have been worth something but I will cancel this company as soon as my 2year contract is up if not before. I like value. I do not like to be stiffed or treated as if I had no brain in my head. Just one man's opinion.

Slipped a change for NASCAR Hotpass to HD only trying to shyster consumers into getting rental money for HD receiver and extra ten dollars a month in additional fees . Not interested in HD service or paying for something supposedly offered for free typical bait and switch shame o wn you directv.I cannot understand why you would choose to screw loyal customers this way unless it's a lame attempt to recoup expenses incurred in Viacom battle don't punish the few to recoup something you could solve with penny increase on alleged ten million satisfied viewers!!! Thanks for absolutely nothing.
