Directv in Snellville, Georgia - Installation appt
The first installer came out & looked around the house and stated to my son that he couldn't do the service and left. My son was told that it was because of the trees in my neighbor yard. I called back to have another installer to come out and I had an appt for July 28 8-12. I was home waiting on the installer to show & at 11:20...no one showed up. So I called customer service & the female rep stated that the installer cancelled the order without calling me & letting me know that he couldn't do it. I think that is very bad customer service. After experiencing this type of behavior I will never try direct tv. This was my first & last time. I wanted to try the service because people was telling me about it. But my first impression of direct tv customer service was BAD!

I called in on 7/27/12 and talked with customer service I waited 45 mins. before I get someone to talk to I explained I had 4 receivers and I wanted to send back my HD receivers and keep my 2 regular receivers and to change my programming it took her almost and hour she said she had every thing taken care of and this morning I did not have service on 1 receiver, I called in and they said that they had my permission to turn the box off I waited 10 mins to talk to a supervisor and the supervisor would not even get on the phone with me they made the mistake and I have to pay for it I think this company does not care about there customers I am a very unhappy customer as soon as I can I am changing to Cox cable they know how to treat there customer.
Directv in Bangkok, Krung Thep - Direct TV 9 months and counting no refund.
9 months and counting for a refund from direct TV. Didn't send the boxes to the right address we gave them as a forwarding, called from overseas for 3 months every month, and were promised the boxes to return the DVR and equipment. Now 9 months later and multiple promises to send us our refund of 300 dollars...no refund. they have our boxes now, but still no refund. We have been told by numerous customer service agents its on the way, and are told the finance dept. is having issues with the address. Not sure if this will ever happen. But, we are hopeful that someday it might. Our last encounter was tonight with a supervisor who told us they have no direct communication with their finance department. No way to get a hold of them accept through their "system". This is the issue. No way to get help when you need it. Latest we are on wait again for another 10 to 30 days for the latest of their promises to refund.... 9 months later.. its not about the money.. its about simply customer satisfaction.
Directv in Salt Lake City, Utah - They drop viacom except if your paying for hd
directtv says they are having a dispute with viacom and they are no longer broadcasting their stations that is unless you are willing to pay for their most expensive service and pay for HD. I know people that are still recieving the stations but they pay for it by paying for all the stations avaliable and all the premium channels plus all the extra fees and rentals. It's a lie that directtv is no longer paying for those 17 channels that is unless you are willing to pay and pay more so they can increase their own profit. Last year alone they hed over a $2,000,000,000. net income that is the money they maid after they paid for all their expenses. this is from their own financial statemenet. I don't really care about the lost stations it's the lie they are telling the customers. Don't reach an agreement with Viacom and save money and increase your profits by gouging your customers by not lowering their bills to reflect the loss that you are forcing on them.
Why would a customer hold on to a receiver that was no longer working and continue to pay for it for several months? It's because I dreaded calling Direct TV customer service. One of my receivers went out. I took one from another room and plugged it in where we had...
Directv in Hartsville, Tennessee - No service over a month with only one call back.
No service for one month and only one call back and this has happen for one year. Trouble after trouble with Direct TV. This is the worst service I have ever seen. I will encourage people to never get Direct TV. It takes weeks for a technician to show up and sometimes they can not fix the problem because they do not know what they are doing. I will be going back to cable. At least it will not go out when it rains or sprinkles. They tell you that they will give you a break on your bill do not believe it. Also, it does not matter if it is working or not they still want there money from you.
DIRECTV UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
My bill was due on the 28 of every month, (PAID IN ADVANCE). I called in June to have service disconnected, and was told by the rep that we can cut off service on the 27th, and no additional money was owed. My husband was also present when I was on speaker phone with directv. I made it very clear that I did not want to owe them any money...Well, 3 weeks later I have an UNAUTHORIZED charge to my bank account in the amount of $60.05!!!! I called directv this morning, 7/26/12 as soon as I saw the charge in my bank account. The rep I spoke to told me that there is a billing cycle which had nothing to do with my due dates on the account. I am just livid because this is deceptive business practices!! I did everything by the book, sent all their equipment back to them in a timely manner, and they still charge me when I did not even use their service. This is a scam and I will also be contacting my Congress and State Attorney General....I went to my bank this morning also to DISPUTE THIS FRAUDULENT charge. We as consumers are at the mercy of these monopolies and they must be stopped with a class action law suit!!!

so, i switched from at&t to direct tv, cause this is the game everyone plays every two years. i had next day service from direct tv. "great". my neighbor came over and said you must have gotten the offer of 200.00 debit card and a two year agreement and four rooms of recievers. I was not aware of the offer so i called the sameday my direct tv was in stalled. Talked to sales person and her supervisor. To get told three different stories.....!!!!! any way i asked the question it was no.....!!!!! 1) different promotion times. (ahhhh 24hrs) 2) He was already a customer of direct tv. .(no) 3) you needed to be switching from one service such as att&t to direct....(which i was)............very rude staff in south carolina..said he didn't have a supervisor over him.....really cant wait until my 2yrs are up after one afternoon...:(

Well we pay on time every month and we dont get any breaks for being good customers.Either thats got to change or we will. We like direct tv but when you get pushed you can be pushed so far.Please do what ya say and work with us. In these tuff times we need all the help we can get.The extra little charges ya have adds up.And I hope since ya come to an agreement with viacom,that we wont get charged any more for having their channels.So please think about the people who pay on or before their due date.
