Directv in Lake Mills, Iowa - Charged my account

You are correct about the LACK of customer service. I recently quite DIRECT TV for various reasons. I sent the equipment back as soon as I received the boxes, almost 1 month ago. Yesterday they deducted $503 from my account for not receiving their receivers. I called immediately and OH YES they did get them but it was just a "human error" that it was not recorded. So I get charged because they did not bother to "double check" before charging me and it will take days to get my money back. REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote: "We have over 20 million customer and we do make mistakes". Fine!! But don't take days to give me my money back. I told them I wanted it within 24 hours. And compensation. Guess what they offered me???? Rebates on coming back as a customer.....takes balls huh? NEVER in a million years..........Oh and then they stated that I switched providers when I canceled them. NO I did not. We went to antenna!!! We get 17 local channels now and NOT the 5 we got from them! Also payed extra for that from them. They are getting FREE advertizing from me..starting here!!

Direct tv took 641 dollars from me and I had two representatives tell me 72 hours after they receive their equipment. A week later I called and they said it will take 30 days to refund back to my credit card.

I too told them they had one day not 30 and they also tried to tell me they will waive the early cancellation fee of $280 if I come back as a customer...really? They are the worst by far and I will never go back to them.

wow the one thing that makes me laugh after a hard days work to pay my way to HIGH D-TV BILL and they take away some of my fav channels but don't reduce my BILL!! WTF... sound goes out on my channels all the time sometiimes for 30 mins... takes almost 2 mins to see the pic while surfing all the *** shows for WEIGHT LOSS, HOME SHOPPING, AND THE SAME FRICKEN MOVIES OVER AND OVER!! I'M DONE WITH MY CONTRACT AT THIS POINT I WILL PAY WHAT IS NEEDED RETURN BOXES AND GET CABLE!!! U SUCK DIRECT TV!!

Wait until your introductory rates are over and you bill goes up..oh also know all providers go through contract negotiations. So good luck

No FX NO Comedy Central CEO for Directv states Viacom is issue. Directv is the issue. Discount customers for lost channels or allow customers out of contract. That simple. I've paid for the 4.99 replacement cost. I had a DVR go down.

They went through all the show of getting my information then told they couldn't do it because the system is down for upgrading. This is the same story they've been telling me for a week! I'm beginning to think that spending the extra money on equipment insurance is all a scam.

One department even said they'd send me a unit right away but they'd have to charge me $50. This is a company I'm spending $180 a month on!

:( This company SUCKS! I had agreed to a BUNDLE with DTV and Fairpoint.

DTV came and set up the tv. The same day Fairpoint was supposed to show up for phone and internet. No show. ON SUNDAY morning at 9AM they show.

I told them to *** off and canceled with DTV. This was LESS than a week after DTV set up. Now they are after me for $400. Screw them.

They didn't keep their end of the bargain.

They can go to ***. I told them to take me to court, PLEASE.

Directv in Paducah, Kentucky - Mtv and vh1. got hooked on shows that i can no longer watch.

I'm paying a pretty good penny for shows that i now can't watch. Get it worked out or i will go back to comcast. Have loved direct until it started with fx and american horror story that i thought was going to be over with direct. DIRECTV

I have been a loyal DIRECTV costomer for 6 years. I have been seeing commercials about new customers receiving free HD for life when signing up. So, I called customer service to see if I could get HD. I was told that I qualified for 1/2 off the receiver. I told the rep that I will pay the monthly HD charge without a problem, I just want the receiver for free. Rediculous. Now, my bill is just as high and I've lost 26 channels. If this doesn't get resolved soon, I have a feeling that Dish Network will be getting some new customers.

I have no sympathy for your problems with Viacom. It is not our problem. We want our missing channels back and a discount for the time we have been without them. If this doesn't happen by the end of July, we are switching to Dish. You are supposed to provide us with a service. In order to do that, you *** the bullet and work it out with Viacom. I think you had a lot of nerve suggesting that you are doing this for the sake of the consumer. Under no circumstance should we have to suck up extra costs, if that is what this turns into.

Directv in Plano, Texas - Cancelled channels

It is my hope that Directv will offers the affected customers a generous credit as well as free movies on pay per view. I hope this dispute between directv and victamo is over soon I think that eventally the other companies will be in channel dispute too; so I'm trying to hold off cancelling my service with directv but am missing programs I like to watch. Most of these complaints seem to indicate that directv doesn't give a s--- about its current customers. I hope a resolution is reached soon. The new disney channel is no competition for SpongeBob.

Directv in Chantilly, Virginia - Can not get HD at all

We can not get HD channels at all have to bring someone in. Every time there is a little rain the tv goes off. We don't get any reimbursement or credit for that. They have taken channels away and I see a lot more non english channels on it. I am not against that but do not take my channels away. The only reason we have it is my husband wanted the NFL or some sports channel that is not free. I told him to find something else. If we are not getting tv channels because of weather I feel we should at least get a credit.

Directv in Oakland, Florida - Losing 26 Channels (?)

I would like to know when we will be getting the 26 channels back that were recently dropped? If this is a permanent lose of channels than we need to have our contract and bill adjusted for this lose. I have been with Direct TV since 1999. This latest lose of channels does not make us happy. I am paying a high amount for satelite service and I do not feel that I am getting our money worth. Please resolve this issue immediately - either by bringing back the channels or adjusting our bill. I also feel a discount is necessary in the meantime. Treat your customers with respect..

I am a long time customer. I tried to get them to let me get a new contract like they have for new customers.

They said no.

If you ask what they will do for you about the loss of the channels they give you $10 off your bill for the next three months bills. I think thats kind of lame but it is somethimg.

I just don't get the justice in this. I had to sign a two year contract with Directv when I got my install and chose my package. Well my package has changed - NOT my choice!!!! Channels were taken away from the package that I want and have paid for!!! I want at least 26% of my bill reduced, because I lost at least 26 channels from my programming package. Why is it the consumer that is always on the losing end of all of these behind closed door decisions. And no you did not make this decision on our behalf!!!!

Has DirectTv even addressed the issue of our bills? We PAID for these channels and I either want them back or a smaller bill. Whatever *** is going on between these two giant, rich, companies is not my fault and I am sick and tired of these companies screwing consumers over.

i know that direct tv knew for months they were fighting with viacon, but we were warned only a week before they pulled the plug. it isnt right what they are doing and i know that im changing services ,and if they try to make me pay to get out of my contract with them i will inform them that they are the ones that broke my contract with them first.
