Directv in Seattle, Washington - Too much

When you order the "lowest package possible" for about $30.00, it will actually cost about $80.00. Bait ans switch- all those required fees to make it all work- what they say it will cost is actually a lie. I am stuck until October- I bundled a package and it didn't work for me, so I cancelled that bundle- I got stuck with this evil company. So, I am waiting my time. I will NEVER deal with this fraudulent company again. Please, those of you have not signed this company into your bundle, run for your lives from them. They do not print, or admit what they really intend to charge you.

DIRECTV SCAMS

Direct TV scams you and into a 2 year contract that I did not want in the first place. The sales person directly with Directv is fairly good at pressure sales and convinces you that if you take out a two year plan it will save you all this money for two years I said I did not want a 2 year contract I was thinking about relocating later and would see if I even liked their services. She then informed me that I had to take a two year contract but what I could do is and her customers such as my self find that this works well, That you pay for the first year at which time if you do not like your service then you would just call in and have your service disconnected for a 6 month period for a small service fee like 25 dollars at which time you would do the same on the 6 month period and at the end of the time would be end of contract with no penalties or extra charges. Absolutely hate DIRECT TV NEW I SHOULD OF WENT WITH DISH NETWORK. our so called package was never at the price we were told and direct tv said that we were misinform found them misleading and non trusting so put the ladies plan to action waited the first year then placed on hold was told we could not place our account on hold and if we could they would not honor the extension and would be carried away. The special was suppose to be for two years and at one price and ended up a much higher price for 1 year and would not honor turning off services. so for a 11/2 years service they send threatening letters and demanding their receivers back and owing them almost 500.00 and our monthly full price bill was the minimum package no bells no whistles and no dvr or what ever. summed up. Direct TV has their own staff lie to you to make a sale, then lie to you about how they was wrong, lie to you about the real contract, has lousy customer service and is a very dishonest buisness doing what ever it takes to get your dollar.

i RELOCATED FROM SAN ANTONIO TO DENVER....CALLED DIRECT TV FROM SAN ANTONIO, TOLD TO BRING EQUIPMENT WITH ME TO HAVE RECONNECTED IN DENVER. WHEN THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN CAME TO REINSTALL MY EQUPMENT, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO WHERE TO PUT IN THAT WOULD RECIEVE GOOD SIGNAL...APT MANAGEMENT WOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO INSTALL WHERE SIGNAL WAS GOOD EVEN THOUGH OTHER APTS WERE ABLE TO BE "GRANDFATHERED" IN. DIRECT TV REFUSED TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT CHARGING ME A $300 FEE....I HAD TO FIGHT WITH THEM JUST TO RETURN THERE EQUIPMENT. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE

Directv in Phoenix, Arizona - Lied to me when first signed up about bundle service including internet service and instalation date

Called Direct TV and bought a service including TV and internet was told that install would happen the next day wrong it took an additional week and was told that internet would be installed the same day wrong again Direct TV never ordered the internet though Century link so after two days on the on the phone I finally ordered the internet though Century link which took them 10 business days to send me the equipment to install my self.Now bundle was out of town and received a bill from Century link for my internet service which was to be bundled with Direct TV and was told by Century link that Direct TV had no contract with them for internet service, but Direct TV says they do.Called Direct TV today and was told the order was never place by direct TV duh I already new that thats why it took three weeks to get internet to my new home. I'm not impressed with there sales department no the customer service seems like the old switch to me.

Directv in Waldorf, Maryland - Charged $176.97 instead of $19.95

I was to finalize my order and be charged only $19.95, as soon as I submitted the order I got an email from my bank that $176.97 was charged. They considered me a high risk because I didn't provide my SSN on line for credit verification. So they took extra for "THEIR" protection. Even as I pressed "submit order" it still stated $29.97, due to an additional $10.02 tax for equipment. I understand that, but then to not inform a customer first that additional charges would apply due to credit, it was because I didn't want to provide my social, so this was still before they determined my credit rating.

DirecTv 24 hours to cancel, beware!$465

I am a directv returning, loyal, paying customer, only to receive the worst service. May 2012, I spoke to an agent , did not inform me I had to go online to receive rebates, that would reflect my monthly bill. Then in June five days later, receive a bill for twice as much than originally quoted. Due within a week? Ive talk to 6 different agents saying they input the rebates on 6/6/12. 6/18/12. 6/21/12. They all confirmed on "All Calls are Recorded". Listen to all of my phone conversations to hear, lies I was promised. Now receiving $120t bill. I was told after, I only had 24 hours to cancel. SCAM!!

Directv installed a new system on 22 July 2012. Two hours after the installer left, the system quit working.

I called Direct customer service and was told that I would be called within one hour to schedule a fix. I have called for 4 days and have yet to hear from them about an appointment. I have gone through the troubleshooting with them four times. DirecTV does not care once the system is installed.

I have tried to cancel and have not benn able to talk to anyone in charge.

BEWARE OF DIRECTV!!!! :(

Direct Tv charged me 64.49 on the 20th. and again on the 23rd. Said 6 weeks to correct? BS. Nothing more than theives and liers!! This was not authorized by me!! Do not ever sign up for this non service. If you do you will regret it like me. I called this company and they explained I was getting automatic billing which I did not request and I would be charged additional for HD if I did not do this billing. BS None of their adds say this so this is just one more way for them to steal from you. Pass it on, get this company off the air ASAP. Joe Fischer.

Directv sucks

I had a similar problem as "Fxartist" in that Directv charged $378 to my checking account - they charged me for the 2 receivers my husband mailed back to them once we cancelled our account. We mailed them back on 6/29/2012 and the company themselves documented receiving them on 7/5/2012 (within the time frame they told us they needed to be turned in without a late fee). On 7/16/2012 - 11 days AFTER they received their precious receivers, they withdrew $378 from our account! And we called to demand our money back and they TELL me 48 hours but I get an email an hour after hanging up that it'll take 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS!!! So, what am I supposed to do about the NSF I will have to pay from going negative in the bank because I had $378 stolen from me and I needed to it pay towards bills! Other companies won't sympathize - they need their money too! And what I don't get is... WHY?!? Why was the money taken out when it was never owed to begin with. The receivers were turned in on time, there was no damage (according to them too)... but no one from Directv can explain why the money was charged to my account to begin with! I mean, the majority of society is swimming in debt and trying to make ends meet, and you have companies like this flat-out stealing... I mean, even $40 I would be pissed but I wouldn't be stressing because I have bills to pay before I ever see my $378 again (and I will believe it when I see it... who's to say they won't pay it back on time or at all, they stole it to begin with). And the real kicker... every time I speak to a rep on the phone, they ask me if there's anything they could do to get me back as a customer... it takes everything in me not to scream profanity at them for even asking me that! Like *** I will ever switch back to them!

It is sad that you have to learn the hard way as I did too.Since you are under contract for 2 yrs,please realize that if your equipment fails,this adds another 2 yr to your contract if you accept replacement equipment even if yours is no longer working.DTV has so many scams going it would take all day to go over them all.keep in mind they have your bank#or credit card# on file and they will use it if they see the need so it would be wise to change #'s and get a disposable card for their records.
