There is no channel 61 on DIRECTV NOW. The channels aren’t numbered.

This is a streaming service.

You might want to post on DIRECTV’s page, not this one. Different companies.

DirecTv is one of the worst business practices I have encountered. This company is downright criminal. I recently moved from one home to another and dealing with DirecTv has been an absolute nightmare. I am also positive this isDirecTv is one of the worst business practices I have encountered. This company is downright criminal. I recently moved from one home to another and dealing with DirecTv has been an absolute nightmare. I am also positive this is on purpose in the hope consumers get so frustrated they just give up. What kind of service is that to send consumers to that level of anger and frustration? My original contract ends May 2017, I have contemplated early cancel, pay the fee and move on to just steaming. I feel the cost of cable and monthly rental fees etc... Is just ridiculous, I decided I would make the decision after my move, after 5 minutes of all the phone frustration I finally am able to speak to a person. I explain my move, we schedule install date for Aug 3rd and I specifically ask to be sure that this will not extend my original contract or be any added fees? I am told no not at all. Next day I have an email confirming my install appt and my move-in special that extends my contract 24 more months!! Are you kidding, the sales agent flat out lied. I'm at work, which are 12 hour shifts and the inconvenience of another 15 minute phone call is not an option. I try the online chat, explain the situation, all I get back over over is "I understand your situation" and than I'm give the mover customer service # because of course he can't help me. More frustration and still no solution. Next few days are moving days, no time to call. Finally call today, sit through the annoying phone robot for 10 min before I can talk to a person. Explain to this agent the situation, that I don't want an extended contract. "I understand your frustration and am sorry". Has to put me on multiple extended holds tells me she can get me the move without extended contract plus same install date. Great fine lets do it. Another extended hold only to than be disconnected. Urgh! Hour later I get a new DirecTv confirmation, exact same as last time says 24month contract extended with the exception that my install date is now move from the 3rd to Sunday the 7th. Well that's just perfect, way to satisfy the customer. At this point I'm done with this company I just want out. Another call! Long wait finally get agent and I tell her I'm extremely frustrated this is my 4th call and I just want to cancel. She is apologetic and "understands my situation". I tell her I just want to cancel my service and I will pay whatever fees. After checking out my account she tells me I will have no fees or costs other than to pay my remainder bill. She of course can not cancel because well that's another department. So she transfers me, the gentlemen on the phone by this point is not speaking with a happy consumer but an extremely frustrated one. I tell him to cancel my account, with my remainder contract and this gee and that fee that's $280.00 besides my bill. Well another agent that lied, I tell him she said there would be no due amount and of course he had his list of why he sees things she doesn't and blah, blah blah. At this point I said fine I don't care $280 is worth getting rid of this service and never to deal with again. He just needs to place me on hold, and there goes another convenient disconnect from DirecTv. I am so beyond angry and feel so taken advantage of! How convenient to keep people from canceling and racking up fees by always disconnect the call. Something has got to be done about this business criminal behavior. These agents flat out lie to consumers, they add on fees and contracts and don't tell you or do it in s deceiving way. How immoral can you be! Direct tv baited me into a new 24 month contract. Told me that my equipment was faulty but that I could upgrade it and I would not be signing a new contract and lo and behold now I find out it was a new contract .Now im stuck with their high equiptment prices and cant receive discounts. And I requested the recording of me agreeing to a new 24 month contract and of course cant get it need an atttorney.

I can't believe how bad the customer service at Directv has gotten. Voice response ***. All I wanted to do is cancel my Directv service as I had moved and picked up Directv again and its been 3 months several phone calls and I can't cancel my old account. It was never this bad. Is it because of ATT? I'm typing this as I wait on hold for 15 minutes having already been cut off 2 previous times. What happened to good customer service. Just awful. I thought cable companies service was bad...Directv is now getting as bad as the cable companies.

Since AT&T bought Direct TV, everything has gone to *** in a hand basket. I may end up in the hospital before multiple issues are resolved. Every time I call, it takes a minimum of one to two hours of my time with limited to no result. You can NEVER reach the same person back again for followup and Direct TV NEVER gets it right, so every time you are stuck starting over, and for what? More insanity, lameness, disregard for their own patrons, incompetence, incredibly horrific company policy when it comes to consumer relations. It is so bad that one feels like they are been "pranked," because surely no legit company can treat its customers this way. I used to refer people to Direct TV all the time, but never again. And the same goes to every person I know, family and friends. AT&T and Direct TV should be sued in a class action. They are dishonest and fraudulent. Everything about the work ethic of these two company has nothing to do with customer service but rather DISservice. It's a disgrace and an abomination of what US companies should be striving to do. We are no longer a country that produces anything. We eek by on service. What service? There is no service anymore. There is make a buck quickly and anyway you can and to *** with the people who pay through the nose. That's the new US business philosophy. And we, as the consumer, shouldn't take it anymore!!!!

Called them (five separate times) in response to their tv commercial offering a basic package: Their representatives, five of them, all tried to talk me into purchasing a more expensive package than the one advertised. When I specifically referred to the directtv commercial all five lied about it. When I explained that their co. was advertising the discounted package for several days every one of the five reps. became obnoxious and each told me it was "...lousy plan..." Have to conclude the company is dishonest from the top down. When I asked to speak to a supervisr the represe tative terminated the phone connection.

DirecTV charges extra for each TV. They give me one for free, what they do is charge me for it then give me a credit for it but they still charge me tax on that why am I getting taxed for something that's free?

Before moving to Arizona, we had Dish Network for 9 years and was very happy with the product and services. Our daughter convinced us to make the switch to Direct since that is what they had. I assumed (bad on my part) that I was only signing up for a 1 year contract, only to find out that after the 1st year, my bill went up $45 per month. I talked to several people including a billing supervisor to see if it could be lowered. When I was politely told that it couldn't and it would require $250 to cancellation fee if I wanted to disconnect their service - I responded that it's like the old "bait and switch" programs. Trust me, after their inability to work with me - DISH will be my new provider in 3 months. Using their termination fee plus the DISH incentives, my termination fee will be a wash shortly thereafter and will be paying under $80 per month for 2 years instead of $135. Direct TV - color me gone soon.
