The DirecTV salesperson made it sound like AT&T's catalog of content is unequaled - what a joke! My favorite series have maybe a handful of episodes available at most. I can't wait to get rid of this *** service and its abysmal customer service as well. Ugh!

I am a new customer and regret it immensely! The on screen guide is a joke. It makes no sense whatsoever. I can’t wait for my contract to end. I’m considering just paying the early termination fee and will not recommend Direct Tv to anyone!

I was charged for a months service ahead of time and they would not refund my charge. Told me if they refund it then it would be charged as a late fee on next months bill and then reported to the credit bureau. I also never got my $200 visa gift card for signing up for a new service. Horrible customer service. Worst company ever.

It happened about three weeks ago. Trying to watch the baseball game. World Series is on and I can't watch it. I've paid my bill and still cannot watch!! You best get this straightened out cause I'm about to drop you like a bad habit!! I'll expect to see a credit on my BILL for loss of viewing!! I've said all I have to say now you want me to carry on with more BULL to sufice you! Myself and many others are fed up with this service and the astronomical rates and not getting what I'm paying for!! Who do you think you are I signed a contract for certain services and DAMNIT I expect to get what I paid for. Am I about to get to the 100 words yet?? I'm starting to run out of nice words DAMNIT GET THIS STRAIHTENED OUT!!

Consumer win vs DirecTV

After expending approx. 30 hours of my time to resolve a DirecTV billing error, and getting nowhere, I finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my state "Consumer Affairs" protection division. Most, if not all, states have a similar state protection bureau and you can file a complaint. I wish I had started there. It would have saved me a lot of time. Although DirecTV could not/ or would not refund the money they had overcharged me based upon my numerous phone calls and emails, they did respond to the inquiry on my behalf from the State Consumer Protection agency. I received a phone call, and got resolution from the corporate level. I hope this helps someone else. Based upon my experience with DirecTV, I believe they hope to stall you for so long that you finally just give up. Fight Back! If you are being stonewalled, contact your State "Consumer Affairs" protection division for help in your personal battle with DirecTV.

My story is I went to the Hickory, NC location back in July, there I encountered a salesperson who stated he was in partnership with Direct TV and Sam's Club. We decided to join in and one of the incentives was a $200 gift card from Sam's club./ The first installation did not go as planned because AT&T was dishonest about the internet speed and what type was available. Well it's now August and I saw the same promotion but this time with a $300 gift card from Sam's Club. I called Direct TV back and told them I wanted to go ahead and sign up and I wanted to to do it through my Sam's club membership. Of course they said ok. The installation was done on 8/13 or 8/15. I can't remember which and at that time I called to ask about the gift card. I was transferred to someone who said in 4 weeks I would get a link from them to claim the card. Well i am sure you know by now that did not happen and lo and behold when I called DIRECT TV back there was no notes nothing regarding the SAM'S gift card. These people were actually in the store @ SAM'S CLUB and now DIRECT TV's reps have NO notes, the notes always seem to disappear. I called them again on Sunday and again I was told that the rewards center would help. I was not satisfied with the service I got so I called back the same day Sunday October 8, and this time the notes from the earlier call was again not there. This is obviously a scam and we now have to honor an agreement while DIRECT TV does not. The last time I called I tried to get the names and id numbers, the last agent flat out refused to give it to me nor was a manager available and additionally they could not give me a number or address to the corporate offices. Their website is a joke and it's almost impossible to file a complaint so I filed one with the FCC

I was told that since i live with my boyfriend and he has at&t service for cell phones that we would get $25 more off our tv and $10 off our phone service after 3 billing cycles. 6 months and 15 phone calls later we still have not received the $35 additional discount. They lie about what they offer to make a sale

Just moved to area and was a nightmare from the beginging. Sat waiting for installation for four hours. No one showed. Finally got direct tv and AT&T set up. Then saleman called to upgrade for 3 months. Asked repeatedly NO extra charge, correct? They said NO. Got the bill and there WAS a extra charge. Customer service is terrible.
