I canceled my service before it even started. Because they said my box was being held up due to a snowstorm. So I got the money back from my bank and then they went in and disputed it after I canceled my service. They are a bunch of dirty, grimy people.

Was a customer for 18 years wanted to talk about high prices was told there was nothing they could do. I signed up for a streaming service with more channels for $100 a month less.

Called in to cancel my direct tv service and all of a sudden they had a deal for $100 less told them no just cancel. About a year ago I added 2 genie minis to my account that I purchased from ebay and installed myself (no investment on direct tv's part) they tell me that because I added those if you read the fine print I extended my contract and that I would have to pay $150.00 cancelation fee.

Almost criminal if you ask me after being a customer for that long. *** company dont sign up!!!

HORRIBLE customer service

After being a loyal subscriber of 20 uninterrupted years, I finally had enough and cancelled my subscription yesterday. My reasons were the cost, the nearly 9 month blackout of both CBS and ABC as well as no effort from DirectTV to figure out a way for subscribers to view the Super Bowl.

The game was available on multiple streaming platforms, yet DirectTV offered no alternate viewing options. Today, Rebecca from their Retention dept. called me to too attempt to retain me. Well, Rebecca needs some hard-core, focused training on customer service.

While explaining the reasons why I cancelled, she interrupted me multiple times and when so asked her to let me finish, she said she wasnt interrupting me, she was talking to another person in her ear and was trying to tell them to stop interrupting! Really?! Total customer service failure! You would think that after losing nearly 50% of their subs since AT&T purchased them, they would have done some stellar CS training to stop the bleeding!

NOPE! They have people like Rebecca interrupting customers, talking to OTHER people while on the phone with customers and treating customers with absolutely ZERO respect.

Charged an additional month after me service was disconnected.

Cancelled my service, and then was told that I would be charged for an additional month after my service was disconnected. The excuse was something about their system and Billing cycles. Bottom line, my service was cancelled, and Billing should stop!!! I spoke to a Supervisor and got no help, and the supervisor began bashing Dish. What kind of people are they hiring???

Yes they are giving me the wrong information on my account and when I called they they didnt want to listen to the information I was given when I signed up for their services and they refused to listen to me when I asked for a supervisor I was hung up on be the representative.

I have been a DirecTV customer for over 25 years. I dont like the quality of the streaming or that it was done without notice or my consent. If it stays like this Ill be changing vendors soon.

Getting harassed by collector after equipment was sent back

I have been getting a call from debt collector saying I owe some money for equipment that I turned in over a year and half ago. Took it to ups store and sent back and called that I sent back and they said everything was good . Now getting harassed by debt collector about it.

Your customers service sucks, your a big company loving company that's why you don't want to talk to your customers for fear they will find out your company is a rip off iv been having trouble with my service for sometimes now iv requested a repairman to come a fix the problem but al I get is the run around I'm telling everyone and anyone who will listen about how shifty your company is and to go to dish .

Does not let you close your account easily, even though you’ve been a dedicated customer. Do not follow through for you to be able to do what is required to close. Then charge more.

When I tried to close my account after 10+ years as a customer, they didnt follow through on theyre end with providing boxes to return equipment. Without returning equipment they could continue to charge me. I could not contact them because they had closed my account but kept my credit card on file( I couldnt remove).
