In 13 months I have had to have a technician work on my Direct TV system 7 times because it quit working. It has been everything from a grounding block to connections burning out. Each time I spend over 30 minutes on the phone and have to miss work to be here when the technician arrives.

I even upgraded to HD in hopes that the equipment would work for more than a couple of months before a technician had to be called. It didn't even last a month this time and I have to wait 8 days before a technician is available.

I would like to cancel the service but they won't let me unless I pay an early termination fee.
