I had two accounts with Direct TV, one in Ohio and one in Florida.I called to cancel the Ohio account which I'd had over 6 years.
The customer rep actually cancelled the wrong account which caused a cancellation charge to be charged to me. When I called and complained and tried to explain the wrong cancellation, I was told by a supervisor that no, i had actually cancelled the Ohio account not the Florida account. I asked him why would I keep an account for a house that I no longer owned and cancel the new account which had been set up only a month earlier. He told me he can't explain why I would have done that but obviously did and to avoid the cancellation charge I would have to take my receiver to Florida and hook it up to an active tv to avoid the charge.
I told him I did not have another tv there and was told that I would have to go out and buy another one.THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, ONLY WANTED THEIR CANCELLATION FEE!
