I have been a customer with Direct TV since 12/2007. I got a letter in the mail stating my receiver needed to be updated. I called and they sent a svs tech out a week later. I then opened ANOTHER account at my mothers house 12/2009. My mother became ill and is no longer at the household. I called Direct TV to get the account witdrawed. They said they would charge me a termination fee of 220.00. EVEN tho I have another account STILL opened since 2007.

You would think they could take into consideration that we have been a paying customer since 2007. I then said, "then just cancel our order and transfer my mothers cable to our house and we would continue from there." They said, "We can't do that because when you upgraded you satellite your contract started all over again!" WOW They never mentioned that in the letter that was sent out. WHAT THE ***?
