Same old story...39.99 month great! First bill 80.99 called customer

service and they are saying up to six months for rebate to kick in. Um so until it kicks in I have to pay the $80 per month? They tell me yes or cancel and pay a 500 fee. Stay AWAY from direct tv or ask for everything up front, I filed a complaint with the BBB and the FTC but I am sure I am screwed.

Someone needs to file a Class action Ill join!

I signed up for the 39.99 package, did the rebate, bill after bill was told their was no record of my rebate. It's a total scam.

they have a D rating with the BBB.

I sent back the equipment and will not pay any further bills, no way, nor the $500 cancellation fee. I am looking to join a class action lawsuit because this scam is so obvious that it is insulting.


Sounds as though you are wise to their game and you are 100% correct! Be wise for future reference make sure they do not have access to your bank account or credit card #(change these if necessary) and do not have autopay with DTV.
