The other day my direct tv box refused to work. I got the manual out and it said to restart the box.
So I did and the box shut off but refused to turn back on. After messing with it for awhile I could not get it to work so I called customer support. I told them my problem and they told me they could get a tech to come and fix it for $49.95. Let's think about that for a second, I subscribe to their service, pay a ridiculous amount for a cable box which malfunctions and they charge me to get it fixed??
Needless to say I was a bit upset so I told the customer service operator how ridiculous that was and he became extremely defensive and rude saying how I was accusing Direct Tv of incompetence.
He eventually straight up hung up on me. Very classy Direct Tv, very classy.
