we are 75 and 72 years old, after 2 months the direct tv box failed .we called them and they said they will send us a new box but we have to install it ourselves.

we both have bad eyesight and cant do that.

they would not send out a tech. gut to do it. SO ALL OF YOU SENIORS OUR THERE, DONT GET DIRECT TV THEY ARE NOT SENIOR FRENDLY. TELL ALL YOUR SENIOR FRIENDS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THEY DEAL WITH DIRECT TV.

TOO MANY COMPANIES TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS AND I FOR ONE AM SICK AND TIRED OF IT.ALL YOU YOUNG PEOPLE SHOULD STICK UP FOR THE SENIORS, ITS YOUR MOM AND DAD AND GRANDMA.

If you tell them youvare physically disabled enough you cannot dot it you can get a tech to come out free under the protection plan. Most people have a relative or neighbor willing to help which is why they push to have it shipped. Sometimes getting it shipped is faster than waiting for a tech to come out.
