I've been a customer of Directv for 7+ yrs.My old DVR stopped recording.

Ordered a replacement, credit for missed dates of recording. Did not request a HD DVR, just a current model DVR, that I had to connect. Verizon FIOS coming to my area and inquired of Directv if they could match Verizon monthly offer. I was told I would have to pay "early cancellation fee" of $300+ because I replaced a non-functioning DVR, which automatically committed me to 2 more years.

To think I was recommending Directv to my friends.

You get zilch if you're an on-time paying, long-term customer.Never late or missed a payment.
