Promised a stable price for 1 year by DirectTV.Was given a 3 month free premium channel package as enticement to sign up.

When cancelling the package after 3 months so I don't get charged for it - they raised my rate by $5. Totally against their promise of no changes for 12 months. My only option is to break the contract which obviously will bring even more charges. After 3 months they pulled a deceptive move and were untruthful in their marketing.

How does it make sense to charge me $5 more to NOT receive the premium package they used to bring me onboard? They claim the difference is in the way the credited my account.

All I know is that they are charging me $5 more after dropping the premium channels.Poor practice and deceptive.
