Our home has been hit twice by lightening in one month. Both times a huge white flash went up in the computer room and fried our modem and router.

After losing two $100 routers, we had someone come out to find out that the DirectTV installer shoved our equipment in the Comcast box outside and did not properly ground it. We called DirectTV and were transferred to their protection plan team who refused to send a technician out unless we paid our current bill.

They knowingly left a fire hazard due to their own negligence that they created in 2010 over a bill in 2012.
