A contract was signed with DirectTV but after TWO DAYS it was discovered that they did not support HDTV in our area. We were never told of this on signing, and they took a cancellation fee.

No matter how much we complained, they refused to cancel without charging us. They threatened to give our name to a collection agency and this would ruin our credit rating. How could we know that they would not support HDTV in our area?

It may be LEGAL to practice this way but it is NOT MORAL. We had no recourse but to pay this outrageous charge.

Buyer beware when dealing with this company.

What really concerns me is their failure to provide local weather info. This could be very dangerous with severe weather outbreak.
