I have been a directv customer for almost 20 years and referred countless people because of their excellent customer service. However since their merge with AT&T their customer service is awful.

On friday i attempted to pay my bill using their app, the app malfunctioned and never asked what amount i wanted to pay. I notifued their accounting department via email immediately to cancel payment and called at 8 am as soon as cs opened to request the payment be cancelled which i was informed would be handled right away. Now 5 days later funds are gone from my account and according to cs their legal dept is reviewing and takes 7-10 days to approve refund and another 2 to come back.

So basically my money is being used to collect interest for directv and a transaction that easily could have been cancelked because it was not processed was not. Filing complaint with the bbb, cancelling my service and will make sure every person i referred is aware and qill encourage them to cancel their service
