The DirecTV commercials say "if you love sports, you gotta have DirecTV". It should say "if you love sports and always stay at home....." Worse cable tv provider!!! Don't choose them y'all!! They withdrew $397 from my bank card without my authorization for early cancellation and all kinds of extra fees!!! I called to inquire and fight this and as I suspected, they placed me 'on hold' for 45 minutes of the 50 that I was on the line with them!!! Direct tv does not provide the services it touts.Horrible! If you are caught in a storm, good luck, because you will have no tv reporting to tell you about the weather conditions. Our tv is off more than it is on. This is the poorest decision we have ever made--to purchase the direct tv contract. Thank goodness we have only nine more months of this junk. All together from January to now I have not been able to use my cable for a total of 40 days. When I call them they have me run through the same procedure over and over again which all leads to the same outcome. Called customer service and finally got a live human being who was vey nice, but had to conclude that the remote was seriously messed up. Since there do not seem to be any Direct TV office in this area, they are going to FedEx me a new remote. Holiday weekend means they won't even be able to send out the remote till Tursday and I won't get it till Thursday. Will I,gat a refund for this lack of service? I switched from AT&T U-verse to Direct TV.What a mistake! Direct TV cost less, but you get what you pay for: less tv service, less customer service, plus too many ads disquised as TV channels. The TV freezes and pixelates frequently. The customer service is terrible, long, long waits. I am seriously considering changing to Charter and probably will at the end of my contract.
