We have Direct TV Service at a campground in Virginia that is only open from April 1 until November 15 every year.This is not within my control, but trying to reason with anyone at Direct TV is a waste of time. You can only suspend 6 months one time within any given year, so in addition to adding 6 months to the already too long 2 year contract, now we pay for services for many months we are not even here. I recently went to the Directv website to check on my equipment when I realized I could upgrade to the new Genie equipment. I upgraded and what a mistake. Now every-other day the picture just pauses and pauses and sometimes it comes back right away and sometimes it takes up to 15 minutes. When I called to complain, I was told that there is an ongoing issue and the engineers were working on it. Well I later found that my DVR is also affected....

In March of 2016 we were convinced by an AT@T rep to switch to Direct TV. My parents use them and liked them so we thought we would give it a try. 5 Months later, multiple trouble calls, 3 truck rolls, change of equipment and change of cable we still have horrible service. We can't keep a connection on more than 2 tv's let alone our laptop. I called support to get out and they want to charge me early term penalty. I've been on hold for 1 hour...

We have had horrible service with direct tv both with the actual tv and with customer service.Several times there was NO service, many times the picture is scrambled. We were sold a package that was filled with mostly pay channels! We called to get help with these problems and to correct the bill. Got the runaround -- when I asked to speak to a supervisor my call mysteriously got dropped. Since I got connected through Century Link, they passed...

  • Poor service that gave me no choice but to cancel before 2 years
I told the sales person that I did not want one but he still told me I would get on demand channels. I had all kinds of problems with the hookup and when they finally got it they had to come back out and readjust the dish. Every time we get a little rain the television goes out. I was told that when it was sold to me that the person was not an employee of direct, but they are an agent of direct. My bill was also more than they told me but we got that taken care of. Cannot wait to get back to cable...
