DIRECTV called; said if I agreed to a 12 month contract I would be billed $73.26 per month. Checking account was drafted in that amount; next month draft $126.23.
Called, direct apologized for error, would issue a credit on next bill and return to agreed upon amount. Expecting a bill for less than $20.00, got one for $81.51; called, they said the $73.26 did not cover price increases or promotions that expire and I would be paying $81 first month and $95. after that. I asked if I was still locked into a 12 month contract and they said yes.
I have been screwed. Any attorneys reading this?
