I had the exact same issue with Directv. I was fortunate enough to have a person from my bank sit in on a conference call, as DEMANDED by Directv, which lasted more than 2 HOURS, with the person from Directv rambling on an on, making no sense whatsoever, talking to me like I was some total ***.
The bank employee said he had never heard such utter disrespect, involving customer service, in a phone conversation and he would of never believed me if he had not actually been on the phone call.
They are out to destroy customers credit ratings, who attempt to close accounts. Its unfortunate I have the same issue going on with "AT&T" who is now owned by DirecTV.
