I have had DirecTv for 12 years. As time went on the DVR boxes took longer and longer to change channels,pull up the guide, and stop, pause, fast ford and rewind.

It was like the boxes had a mind of their own. I finally had enough of this outdated equipment. I called them and told them i wanted my system upgraded. They said i would be charged being that i didnt have an equipment protection plan.

Why would i pay for a protection plan on equipment they own?

That alone is a scam. They wouldnt budge on the upgrade so they lost a $160.00 account to Cablevision.
