DirecTV lied about contracts and procedures for cable service
DirecTV customer reps told me I needed to cancel my existing account to be eligible for the promotional price for another type of package.When I did as was told, I am then told by the manager that I am not eligible because I had an account within the previous 2yrs.
By the way, I had my service installed in the morning of a Friday, and disconnected it in the afternoon on the same day because of what the customer reps told me. They also told me I would get a $5 discount per month by calling Verizon to bundle my bill into one. EVERYTHING THEY TOLD ME WAS A LIE~!! Did I mention their advertised 80+ channels or 240+ channels are mostly MUSIC CHANNELS, not actual channels you can view.
And the basic package DOES NOT include your local channels. The 10 viewable channels you get are primarily shopping channels.
DirecTV IS VERY DECEPTIVE, and tricky.BEWARE.
