DIRECTV lost my returned cables boxes, twice
The first time I was moving and I mailed their cable box back to them in the self addressed ups box they sent me. They claim they never received it.
Two years later I had to return a broken box that they are now claiming was never received. I paid for the second one, but the first resulted in a delinquency on my wife's credit report.
I called and they had no record of the tracking numbers they issued and just kept asking for the tracking number from me. They are unwilling to accept any responsibility and the charge will remain until I can provide the tracking number that they sent me.
Reason of review: Order processing issue.
Monetary Loss: $250.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
DIRECTV Cons: Billing confusion.

if you honestly had return a broken receiver higher that hd, then submit a claim to dept of fraud within to report the problem. also make sure returning kit has label and tracking codes, if the get lost, check with your usps, i had the same problem and under investigation they found out the carrier took it and sold it to a dealer guy.. big deal!...
